- In this video, we dive into the realm of OFF-Grid connectivity by successfully establishing a seamless communication bridge between the T-Deck and iPhone using Meshtastic.
📡 Meshtastic's revolutionary mesh network empowers us to break free from traditional constraints, enabling communication even in remote and off-grid environments. Join us on this journey as we showcase the step-by-step process of setting up and experiencing the power of decentralized communication.
🔗 Explore the endless possibilities as we demonstrate the reliability and versatility of Meshtastic in facilitating secure and efficient data exchange between T-Deck and iPhone, completely independent of traditional network infrastructure.

The music when text received is from the A-Team! 😅 this is so cool
ESPBERRY32 with meshtastic !!! A threaded messaging app. Plus more....Your Espberry32 looks like the right direction for everyone to build code from. I hope more developers find your code. Who knows maybe youll be the next linus. Great job. You done a very fine job.
This is pretty spectacular 🎉 well done, and thanks for explaining!
Very cool! Would be even cooler if I could find everything about this device in one click. Even cooler if it was on nostr.
I think your install on the t-deck was stuck because it wasn't in the right mode. I turned my device off, held down the trackball, switched it on and let go of the trackball after about 2 seconds. The screen should stay black. Now the web install should work a treat. 👍
That's true. But you'll know the way you mentioned here also not working sometimes. Then check this out. github.com/Xinyuan-LilyGO/T-Deck/issues/5#issuecomment-1788008517
thank you so much , i will try it!
great😍 tnx
Where is your lora antenna, you run the risk of burning out the lora chip on your t-deck with no antenna connected.
I wasn't aware of it. Thank you for good information.
@@ThatProjectThe A Team ring tone is cool BUT How do you change the ringtone or lower the volume etc?
@@rommee Unfortunately, there are no settings that can be easily changed. At the code level, github.com/meshtastic/firmware/blob/master/src/buzz/buzz.cpp
Here you can change the tone and duration as you wish. After that you need to build and flash it.
@@ThatProject Thanks so much for this and for getting back to me so quickly. Superb project videos and love the channel! Looking forward to more. ✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨
t-deck with t-watch s3 testing is successful
Do you have any plans to integrate meshtastic with your ESP32Berry project? (And the Telegram Port too)?
Integration will probably be very difficult. I think it’s possible to create an interface for Meshtastic instead. (not sure)
@@ThatProject Thanks for the reply, but do you mean launching a single tasking Meshtastic app (suspending any other apps) from your system, or do you mean putting your GUI onto the Meshtastic system?
@@walkingwithshadows For now, it seems only possible to improve the GUI. Using Meshstatic on ESP32Berry is almost impossible.
@@ThatProject Thanks, is launching from ESP32Berry possible? (And presumably exiting from ESP32Berry to do so). Or dual boot? Given that meshtastic is for off the grid, and what I have seen of your ESP32Berry project, it uses the internet, this would be workable.
Any plans to allow the tdeck to see previously received messages? Tried using these it a group and messages became lost once i received another message. Would be a game changer in my opinion.
I also thought the same thing. It's still being updated, so I'm sure we'll see that feature.
Uh? Does the T-deck have a touchscreen? I have one in the mail on the way, but I dont see the specs state anything about a touchscreen.
T-Deck display supports capacitive type touch. Check this out. czcams.com/video/5K6rSw9j5iY/video.htmlsi=MufEVa-V5B4bIUxi
Is there a reason why you do not use lvgl for gui?
Good question. This is not a project I led. This is just a basic use case and basic setup for using Meshtastic.
My dumbass actually got a T-deck for xmas, WILL NOT BE USING IT until i can configure the device on ITSELF, mindnumbing that hasn't been figured out yet
😂
