The hype for this game was insane
Chris Kreager
Yup - Super Bowl 41 and a half!
Oh it was good times over the years
@iEthxn not even close. mahomes i understand but watson hasn't proved anything yet. maybe mahomes vs lamar would be appropriate. for now.
To undefeated teams playing was absolutely amazing it was my favorite game all time
This and that Dallas vs NE game. The hype was absolutely unreal.
Damn, that pass from Brady to Donte down the sideline. Solid af.
thought the same
Wouldn't have been a completion today
People literally use to be glued to there seats when Brady and manning played
Before NFL changed the division formatting in 2002 the Patriots and Colts were both apart of the AFC East. Just imagine these 2 teams throughout the decade playing each other twice a season!
Wouldn’t have been as special
Gotta disagree with you on this one. The Steelers & Ravens play each other twice a year and that is always a "game of the week" contender, (back when the 49'ers were good) Seattle and San Fran was always a "GOTW"contender, Bears Packers/Vikings Packers. From 2001 to 2015 Brady VS Peyton resulted in some of the greatest games of their respective seasons, and when they met in the playoffs,,,well that just took the rivalry to another level. Having these two face each other two times every season, one in Indy and one in New England would have made their rivalry even more intense, since every season there would be a chance for one team to sweep the other team, OR for a regular season split with a potential "Rubber Match" to take place in the playoffs. Some times there can be too much of a good thing, but there can never be "too much" Brady VS Manning. That would be like saying there are too many NFL regular season games,,,sure you can say that in Baseball/Basketball/Hockey, but Brady and Manning playing 2 times a year,,,sometimes 3 times a year being too much???
@The Life Analyst You might want to rethink that. Brady Played Peyton 12 times when Peyton was a Colt his regular season record against Brady was 3-6 in the regular season and 1-2 in the playoffs for a combined 4-8. When Peyton went to Denver his record was slightly better but he still had a losing record
0-3 in the regular season and 2-0 in the Playoffs for a combined 2-3 record overall. Brady held a 9-3 advantage over Peyton in the regular season and Peyton held a 3-2 edge over Brady in the Playoffs so in total Brady won the overall series with a 11-6 record in the 17 times they met. So I do not see How you think Peyton would have come out on top if the two played in the same division seeing as how in the regular season Brady held a 9-3 advantage. In case you are wondering of those 9 regular season games between the Pats & Colts Brady was 3-2 when at home and 3-1 when Playing on the road, So Brady was actually better against Peyton when Brady played him in Indy and as far the the Playoffs (again Pats VS Colts) Brady was 2-0 at home and 0-1 on the road BUT since Brady owned Peyton during the regular season 6-3 (if they played in the same division) more often,,,,far more often, Peyton and the Colts would be the wild card team going on the road to play the Pats in New England, and again, in the playoffs Peyton was 0-2 on the road in the playoffs. Now Peyton was undefeated in the playoffs against Brady when Peyton was playing at home 1-0 as a Colt and 2-0 as a Bronco.Your statement seemed to come from your heart,,,, mine came from using Google to present Facts.
how does that change anything that I said?,,how does that change your original comment?IF the Colts and Pats stayed in the same Division they would play each other 2 times a year every year, Brady was 6-3 in the regular season and 2-1 when they met in the Playoffs, so Explain to me how if they played each other two times every season (in the regular season) how Peyton would have won more and Brady would have lost more.As a Colt Peyton was 4-8 against Brady. Its OK if you are a fan of Peyton, I love Peyton, I also love Brady (I myself am a DIE HARD Minnesota Vikings fan (born and raised) I am just curious how you can say that if the Colts and Pats were in the same division Peyton would have beaten Brady more then Brady would have beaten Peyton. Their record against each other does not support your claims.
I will say this, Peyton is more physically gifted then Brady, Body wise, I think they are both Mentally head and shoulders above 90% of the QB's we have seen in the NFL, BUT Brady has Bill Belichick as his head coach, and I think that is the reason why Brady won more head to head match ups. BB is the greatest Head Coach in the history of the NFL. The Rams had a better roster of players in the SB, but BB totally out coached Sean Mcvay and that is why the Pats collected another SB ring.had the Colts and Pats been in the same division Peyton would have not only had to have beaten Brady and the Patriot players, but also their Head Coach. Have Brady and Peyton switch coaches and I think it would have been Peyton who would have held a 8-4 record over Brady.
Adrian Peterson casually putting up 296 rushing yards 1:15
Not causally that was the only time he rushed for that much in a game as it is an nfl record

Can we talk about the fact that Jim Nantz has been jinxing kicker for decades now! Everytime he gives a stat they always miss 😂
lol ur right
It's part of the script lol
@@christopherstrebeck8047 is it actually scripted?
@@jackiecone4993 probably not.
It was terrifying how explosive New England’s offense was that year. For most of this game belichick wanted his offense to prioritize ball control because last time they faced the colts in the afc championship, his defense wore out and blew a 21-3 lead. Down by 10 with just over 8 minutes left in the game belichick basically just said fuck it, and the pats stretched the field and scored 2 touchdowns almost at will.
That Brady moss duo was a cheat code
Not really..did they win a superbowl together I can't remember
Agreed. Even if they didn't win a title togheter.
@@edge224 so what?? They lost on a fluke catch by 3 pts. It doesnt take away the ALL-TIME greatness they showed that season. Hats off to the giants tho.
@@christopherstrebeck8047 so your logic is saying that brady edelman is a better duo because they won a super bowl. your logic is bad

Brady Vs Manning... Legendary
What about all those AFC championship games??
@Joe Mendez but eli does own Brady in the super bowl and Peyton does have one game up on Brady in the post season and Brady did choke to a 3rd string qb foles
@matt matt Brady's 1-0 against Manning in division title game.. Brady haters who love deflating Brady's balls like to forget about that and the fact! Brady has won 2/3rds of the time against Manning.. Brady/Manning faced each other 17 times! Brady's won 11 of those!
It’s not Brady vs Manning, Brady doesn’t play defense, Manning doesn’t either.
Brady beat Peyton 11 of those 17 times and Eli won twice in the the Superbowl against him but let's not lie to our selves it was my defense stops Brady not Eli's play lmao and Pat's in general have a win record over every team especially Giants they got us twice were it mattered but still Giants ain't shit no more Brady got 6 rings going for 7 Eli done was the worse qb for 6to 7 years so Peyton was the better one but still got spanked he did do good on his terf

Closest thing we got to real football now. Everyone is a diva or getting over payed for playing 3 playoff games lol.
I feel old by the fact that you consider this "Old School". Like vintage or something? When i here old school, i think of black and white film. Maybe that's just me...

2007 Patriots >>>>>>>>>
Sadly this rivalry is DEAD now!
It was so good back in the days
Tell me about it this was such a good rivalry to watch
People was hoping this rivalry would continue with Luck but watching Luck get blown out every game means. Yep the rivalry is dead.
Not according to the delusional Colts GM. Haha
Yup. We were so spoiled to have 2 generational QBs playing at the same time, in the same conference. I doubt we'll ever see anything like this again in our lifetime. Not even Rodgers and Wilson can compare to Brady/Manning.
*Tom Brady gets sacked*
Nobody:
Jim Nantz: Manning is dropped
Invxulable You sure look stupid now don’t you
At 6:19 Natz says Manning is dropped for the 2nd time by Mathis. He obviously meant Brady.
I remember being on the Retrans site in Mosul watching this. This was, bar none, THE best game of that season. More so than the Tyree helmet catch.
Back then, there were 4 games that everyone looked forward to:
Kickoff (week 1)
Thanksgiving
Brady/Manning
Super Bowl
What a great, great rivalry this was. Didn't matter if you were a Pats fan or a Colts/Broncos fan, when it was Brady/Manning week, EVERYONE won. Such great games. Can't wait for future SB commercials when these 2 are both retired and rib each other.
Definitely and I’d say Patriots vs Giants week 17 was second best that season
T T yep and Patriots-Ravens MNF was third best
Indeed. 🤝🙌👏
3:25 I’ll never forget how bad of a PI that was on Hobbs
People seem to forget the Colts had the #1 scoring defense in the league that year. How they didn't waltz into the afcc and went 1 and done is beyond me
Great game, one of the biggest in regular season history. As a Pats fan it’s one of my favorite Brady Manning duels. I got a request, can we have the 1998 AFC Championship game between Broncos and the Jets
Biggest cheer of that whole game was the Denver crowd noticing the Falcons had beaten the Vikings in overtime, thus all but securing Elway a second championship ring.
For some reason I always found it funny when Peyton dropped back after the snap
SeahawkDon 12 “yuck yuck yuck”
That PI on Hobbs was ridiculous lol wtf
3:36 PI for getting tackled by the receiver. Okay then
I agree. I'm a colts fan but it was a bad call on NE
I think the argument would be that the defender impeded the recievers path to the ball before the defender looked back at the ball. Not saying it was a great call, but that is probably what the red was thinking
Well the Patriots get cheated against more than they get cheated for so people just hating b******
@@aaronbradley3232 what?
That was close to being intercepted too, it wasn't because the receiver tackled him.
Not counting my home team, this is the most hyped I was for a NFL regular season game since mid-90s 49ers-Cowboys.
Insane how clutch Tom Brady is! He makes plays that any other QB would freeze up on in the big moments! No doubt he's the best to ever do it 🐐
"We did not have an answer for Randy Moss today" Tony Dungy
8:10 Mark is where Colts were caught pumping noise in and it malfunctioned. Yet NFL said nothing to see here that it was a CBS issue.....yet the radio broadcast picked it up along with everyone in the stadium hearing it.
and yet they think NE are the only cheaters
@@captainfangle2245 exactly, it's only cheating if it's the Patriots, anyone else then it's gamesmanship.
6:44 The play with Moss making a crazy catch.

Oh wow you can hear that echoing sound so well there.
Colts cheat
But they’ll tell u it’s echoing because they’re in a closed stadium. U listen carefully it’s one consistent noise, so fuking obviously
... Yeah because the Patriots don't cheat...
Everyone cheats. So what
Who forgot about Bob Sanders #21 for the Colts? That boy was a BEAST! Unfortunately, injuries got cut his career short. He was like the versatile Earl Thomas back in the day. THE REAL MVP (unsung hero) of the Colts Success. I think he won Defensive Player of the Year that year in '07, if not mistaken.
He was the reason Peyton won his first SB. No way the Colts D plays that well in the playoffs without him.
He was talented but his body was made of glass.
@@jasonfire3434 the colts got too 2 superbowls with Peyton manning...... both with Bob sanders in the team. Its almost like you need a top defense as well as a good offense to win a superbowl. Manning got too 2 superbowls with the broncos the first one their defense was average, 2nd time the best defense in the league.
The games between patriots and colts are not that good anymore but the Brady vs manning games will forever be my favorite games to watch overall.
It's not everyday when you have 2 of the all time greats going head to head and in the same conference. Pat's vs Colts Brady vs. Manning guaranteed a regular season game which would decide usually who had homefield throughout the playoffs and then an epic Divisional game or AFCCG. I'm a huge Patriots fan but Peyton Manning was the only QB who could scare me with the game on the line.....much respect

The drawback for Brady playing to an old age, is that haters will try to pretend his more recent/boring style of play is how he's looked his whole career. Simply not true.
He's revered for a reason. An incredibly balanced career
@@Tazer183 I think the increase in shorter offensive plays was not due to age but a lack of explosive receiving talent. I mean look what he did this year in Tampa. Back in 2007 he had Moss which enabled all of the deep balls which he is fully capable of throwing expertly and still to this day able to throw. But either way I never find Brady boring, nothing more enjoyable than watching Brady play football.

After the Colts defeated the Patriots in the AFC championship game on their way to winning the Super Bowl, Bill Belichick spent the offseason to equip the team to beat Indianapolis. Thats why he got Moss, Welker, and other offensive weapons for Brady as the 2006 Patriots never had them. Had they met in the 2007 postseason, there was no way the Colts could beat New England, regardless if they were at home or on the road.

Man NFL was so different back then.. idk if it’s because I was younger but they were running with power and quick cuts consistent bc of the rivalry but like everybody showing their will to win. Straight dogs going to work and do what they had to.. young Brady having a beast in Moss and Lawrence Maroney running hard for us bc the other dreaded RB was running hard for his team lol. Sorry man but idk now I see teams give up, alot of players. This game was before rule changes hit hard for big hits on ball carriers .. now I see one teams defense getting good cheap hard shots on opposing QB and when his D goes out there they not trying to avenge it half of every team is soft and the decent players are scared to get fined or suspended .. idk maybe I’m high and tripping lol but I miss these days. I hated the Colts with everything I had then somehow that rivalry died out and we don’t ever play as much but seeing all the individuals go take care of business was dope. Coaches barely did shit these games but prep for the week or practice and call some plays lol. Brady and Manning’s & Co called the plays and players made them
Will always remember this game. Go Colts!
Points that the colts lost out on. A missed field goal (3), A dropped touchdown pass (7), and a dropped bomb by reggie wayne that probably results in at least 3 points maybe 7 (10-14). On top of that I'm pretty sure the Colts kicked inside the 10 3 times so that's on Dungy. I feel like manning played well enough to win, despite the interceptions, but those mistakes caught up to them in the end. Also the PI on the patriot db was ridiculous when it was reggie wayne that tackled him.
I always hated watching the pats play in Indy. Not because we would always lose there we won a lot but because the refs were legitimately one sided for Peyton. The pats had to beat to colts and the refs
This was the first game Brady had the better weapons on offense vs Manning. Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Ben Watson, Jabar Gaffney. Vs Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Anthony Gonzalez, Joseph Addai. Harrison got hurt that season.
