"JUMP" I live in Korea and the general opinion here is that nobody other than pro hoopers can dunk. I found your channel and I thought it was one of the best shots I have on dunking while I am a student. I'm about 5'8 but can only touch 10cm below the backboard so I know it's gonna take a long time but I've decided to take a shot.

Thank you so so much coach! I sprained my ankle very badly 3 months ago (I was walking with crutches for a month and a half) and just now starting to play volleyball again so after finishing my physiotherapy this routine is an absolute blessing for my ankle(s)! I will be doing this religiously from now on

@@antoniostojkovski1464 I've been doing kneesovertoesguy exercises for close to a year and my ankle is basically healed! I have some odd cracks and pops and my dorsiflexion is still worse than my healthy leg but I've come a long way since coming out of the injury. My best advice would be ankle flossing with a flossing band to strengthen all the small muscles in various positions of the ankle
@@9o6o75 Did you fully tear a ligament? Or partial(nearly full tear) ? Or something else? My ligament is hanging by a thread, I injured it 4 n a half months ago, feeling great now, about a month away from being fully healthy to do anything. My dorsiflexion on free movement has been back for like 2 months now but there's still only a bit more to recover on dorsiflexing under pressure(driving my knee wayy past my toes with my heel planted like I can do on my healthy leg). I'm doing the band strengthening exercises in all 4 movements, single leg hops, single leg calf raises, seated calf raises, mainly low level plyos and leg strengtening exercises to have my body ready for sports and also to make my muscles do the work and protect my joints and ligaments. I had swelling for over 3 months and was on crutches about 3 weeks if I remember. Then I could walk with a limp and technically still used a crutch to assist my leg cause thats what the doc said. Oh and 1 more ankle sprain and that ligament is a goner. I'm just giving you all this info to compare situations and maybe learn something from our similar injuries
@@antoniostojkovski1464 i was told i had microtears, but my swelling was huge (i was told the hematoma is very large by the doctors) so i don't think we're quite the same, but i can tell you patiently and consistently strengthening the lower leg and ankle will help out a ton
also if you feel pain don't push it, you're only supposed to feel muscle burn and gentle stretching as well as bloodflow

Jump, I need that vertical program, I'm roughly 5"5, 5"6 and already have pretty good vert, I need to improve so I can dunk by the end of next year
Can you touch the rim rn? I believe you will grow bcoz with that height it will take quite a while for you to dunk but that doesn't mean that tou shouldn't try
@@avenger_j I can touch the backboard on an outdoor rim, but i can touch the rim in an indoor rim, plus im only 16 lol

I do kneeovertoeguy exercises I don't have his program I just see what exercise I have to do and I use 40 lbs dumbbell for tibialis raises and single leg calf raises
KOTguy is a beast. You'll get good results.
What are the exercises I can skip if im short on time?
Actually, you really don’t need to rest much during this routine. When I do this I don’t take any rest in between feet or exercises - I don’t even know why I added that. But you could skip the towel exercises and Arch Raises.

I was thinking of buying your weight program to increase your vertical and I have a couple questions. I am used to jumping and I would say my legs aren’t that bad. I would say my vert is around 27 which isn’t that bad but can always be improved. If I do your program would I be starting from the absolute basics? I’m fine with this since I can always improve my foundation. I don’t want to burn out this summer, and I wanted to ask you if this is too much. I do track and field and this is to help my high jump, and I have morning and evening practices, where I do sprints. I’m thinking of adding this plan and that’s everything this summer with obvious ab workouts a couple times a week.

Yes for sure. This will be a great routine for you. Anything that causes more than minor pain I would skip until it feels okay to do.

Hold your big toe and raise the other 4. Then hold the other 4 and raise your big toe. Practice that way until you get it

Start over or start another one. You need to keep training to keep increasing or maintaining your vert!
Out of curiosity, I was already on a vertical jump program, then i downloaded yours. If I start yours will I loose progress?
Nah it doesnt work like that
In the long run no. But let's say you were doing some really intense explosive exercises, and then you start Phase 1 of my program. You may see a SLIGHT decrease (if any) for that first phase, but eventually you'll start jumping higher than before. But no - you will likely increase.
If I get it in all my protein but can’t seem to get in all my calories, will I still get stronger?
Progressive overload still works in a calorie defecit but its definitely a lot faster in a calorie surplus
