"There's a nice way to say that." Am I the only one who has caught this running joke between the two of them? Obviously, it's a line from the movie said by Ryan ("There's a nice way to say that, Karen"), but in press interviews everywhere for this film, they have muttered it to each other. I think it's hilarious and clever. EDIT: By complete coincidence today, I was just re-watching The Big Short (2015) and all of a sudden in one of the scenes, Ryan Gosling's character says, "There's a nice way to say that, Vinnie." I was sitting alone in my house and I burst out laughing. Like, a big belly laugh. I couldn't believe it. I don't know if this was an easter egg or anything, but I hope that every film with Ryan Gosling from now on has that line in it somewhere.
PWJ It's the scene where Ryan puts money in his tips jar just before he starts playing Christmas songs, and this waitress that passes by says something like "Great to have you back." Hope this helped! :)
They are so charming and come on Emma Stone deserves the Oscar simply for the first audition scene alone! Her dramatic phone call was so touching I wonder what was going on. She is so carisamtic and talented and we will hopefully see a lifetime of great performances in the future! :)
He would be a good Canadian director, but first of all, he's an American, not Canadian movie actor. He's never played in any movie shot and/or set in Canada. He's done nothing for his home's movie industry.
