'La La Land' is about "two young artists in L.A. who fall in love and whose dreams sort of intersect, bring them together, and tear them apart," said director Damien Chazelle. He's joined by stars Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, John Legend, and Rosemarie Dewitt.

I think it's fair to assume that Damian Chazelle is about to become the next big thing
based on what?
Avenger07 based on Whiplash and on the buzz this movie is getting
Don't get anymore Oscar bait than a musical with pretty faces in it, Whiplash was good but not great, other talents like Denis Vellaneuve have more films to back them up and are deserving of more immediate recognition.
Avenger07 Whiplash is a masterpiece. It is the best reviewed American movie of 2014. To say "it's not great" may be your opinion, but you're in the absolute minority.
About La La Land.. have you seen it? I haven't so I wouldn't dismiss it as Oscar bait especially since it initially was aiming for a June release. Plus, it gets stellar reviews from all the critics. It has an average rating of 8.7/10 from RT critics. That is an incredible number. It's pretty safe to assume it's more than Oscar bait, kid.
Vincent Knight I don't think I'm in the minority, but fine, I think Whiplash was greatly recognized by being a best picture nominee alone, but Birdman and the Grand Budapest hotel were the true great films from that year, Chazelle is talented but not at the same level of Vellaneuve or Iñarritu, as I said a musical such as this just needs to be decent, the rest is a given and of course this movie will be an Oscar contender, most likely best picture winner.
Emma Stone is most gorgeous woman alive.
can confirm
what about Brie Larson
siddharth nagar Brie is also cute but not gorgeous as Emma.
Chinpokoman facts
They are my favourite onscreen pairing, ever! I just love them together.
this is great but I want more Ryan and more Emma...
*waits patiently for all the upcoming press junkets*
They're the real "IT" couple. Even though it's all only on screen chemistry haha.
+Lee “Okami” Bosch They're one of those on screen couples who's chemistry is so perfect, but yet in reality they can never truly be.
I think I'm getting a little too obsessed with watching their interviews, particularly Emma 😅💜
I already know that I'm going to love this movie
I've never EVER looked forward to a movie THIS MUCH
Happy Dandelion Me too. Oh my god I actually cried in the trailer
Happy Dandelion same I actually cried it the trailer
Happy Dandelion me too 💙
I hate that some people dismiss this movie as oscar bait because it pays homage to classic hollywood musicals as if it is something routinely done. What was the last high budget ORIGINAL musical prior to this movie? This is a revival of an entire fucking genre, no-one makes movies like this anymore, be grateful that a movie like this could even be made in this day and age amidst the gross oversaturation of superhero movies and disposable action films. The original script was written in 2010 as Chazelle himself was struggling to break into the film industry, and I hardly think he wouldve said "You know what, I reckon in 6 years time this will win me a few oscars." If you don't like it there's nothing wrong with that, but at least respect the place/era it has come from a little more.
I came for personal audition stories im mad
ayyy Swans!
Beautiful couple + beautiful songs
0:51 someone didn't see Whiplash.
Exposed!!
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS
I'd pay a hundred bucks to see it now
Damien is a cutie
John Legend is soooo attractive and such a talented musician.
Damian Chazelle is going to be really big
Anyone how to see the full interview?

It's not cool to put legend as your surname
OTPOTPOTP
don't get anymore Oscar bait than musicals and pretty faces.
Biopics with fictionalized love interests come pretty damn close.
Avenger07 well... it's actually a really great movie dude, so take it as you see it
Noah Redfern I did see it a couple days ago, actually. A great movie indeed. Stone has never been better, and Gosling ain't to shabby either.
Noah Redfern I'm not seeing this, and that besides the fact I hate musicals, mainly because they're bragging about how much they struggled to get this made.....sure, a white Harvard grad doing a movie with a cast full of white people ,"rediscovering jazz" or some shit like that, please.
Avenger07 lol you are hating and putting down a movie because it has a certain race? That seems a bit racist to me especially when it's a fantastic film but you are willing to throw it in a dumpster because it's "white"
