Apartment #2 took my breath away. That’s how I envisioned a place I could own😍
Ooh I would take the second apartment and turn the second living room into the second bedroom… all that natural light 😊
From my view point, I would pick #2&4.
#2 looks gorgeous, but that (imo steep) staircase to go down….I would fall down it in no time…not a good idea. 😅🤣 I would apply for apartment #4, that was my absolute favorite, and if that fell through my second choice would be apartment #5.

Oh wow i think these were all pewtty good options. Did you apply for any of the others? I feel like the small room in the second apartment would have made you feel claustrophobic
So they want you to leave before your 1 year lease is up? If so, that's messed up.

I always wonder why Americans would not just buy a wardrobe at ikea and place it in the bedroom if there is not enough closet space? Can somebody tell me?
Because the bedrooms are already too small but some do.
I saw that you listed some documents that are needed for the apartment hunting process. However, what if you are a person that is moving to the US for work? How will you be able to produce all those documents ? ❗️

Why anyone would live in NYC and pay those prices is beyond me. I own my 3300sqft house and pay less than 500/month for my mortgage.
