      dude you need to check out Del Mccoury Band or the Tavelin' Mccourys! Excellent BG along the same vein as this. Very popular in the jam festival scene. Railroad Earth and String Cheese Incident would also suit you.

      The best guitar player I've personally known is 6'2" and has enormous hands with thick fingers. I have very fine "piano hands" with long slender fingers, but my guitar chops (what few I have) don't hold a candle to his.

      Yeah ,"Country" is Nashvilles top 40 , bluegrass is it's own thing all together. Check out Bill Monroe and the older eras, Strings definitely got some influence from him.

      Searching around and find him playing with some of those greats and others. He did a whole hour covering Doc Watson. Amazing talent.

      @@genebryant3333 He doesn't have the "age" the current legends have but when he does he'll be seen in the same light. He went toe to toe with Tommy Emmanuel on a very up-tempo song and really impressed me because Tommy plays very fast.

      Rice, Flatt, Scrugs, and Monroe didn’t just fall off the turnip truck and start playing like they do. They paid their dues for many years. Springs is paying his dues and he already impresses a lot of people.
