I find your videos always very interesting , I hav a small baby girl with a ugandan man and we often talked about our childhood and how we grow up differently, here in Europe/ Germany its not commen at all yo send kids to boarding schools, the average family has 1 or 2 children which grow up very protected like in a small bubble. What we acknowledged was that the time in boarding school helps children to become Independent and develop better social skills and it is also a lot of fun a time to rember. I am also glad kids in Uganda can return back to school.:)
I was so relieved when schools reopened! Everyone my son would tell me how he misses his friends and teachers. He was in middle class when they closed, now we are in P1. When he brought his weekend homework he said the teacher must have given them p3 work instead since the classrooms are one door apart.
Okey for us we had to shift this lockdown to our home which was far from the former schools and since they are in lower primary and kindergarten we didn't get to go back to school at all for the 2 yrs. So at ours it was a whole new experience new school new everything the kids were exited as well so yaa much as it was drainaining it was all cool.
