This is a really good video especially at the end when they're all pushing that old race car by hand it's like an old man in a wheelchair there helping him get around when really he could probably kick your ass
Great story. Just wondering if anyone has heard of the Border Bandits? Being a Canuck and a huge Ford fan, I love that Barrie Poole and John Elliott were Super Stock magazine's drivers of the year in 1970. Got to meet Barrie through my uncle, they've raced together for years.
The more I watch these videos the more in awe I am of the fact that these cars actually survived like time capsules. today cars just fall apart with no history or significance. And the cars that people pay millions of dollars for an never drive arent even as cool looking. It's almost like people back then we're driving pieces of Art now we're driving pieces of garbage
man these are my favorite cars of all time!
Glad I grew up in this era and saw it all.
I love hearing all about this racing history, thankfully it's not lost to us!
Cheers

I remember them well.
Nice collection, I wonder what became of the car haulers , it dojo’s be nice if they could be found n restored to add to this !
With that big ole' tool box loaded.
Too bad they just sit in collections now. At least some of these cars are still raced in different Nostalgia Pro Stock groups.
Nice cars

Whats the chance of two drag racers having the name Dick Wood? I know one in Massachusetts, he’s not old enough to have raced in 1970.
I would remove all the stickers .
Dick Loehr???
Please learn how to do audio.
yeah, that was an older video - sorry about the quality.
Multi million dollar GARBAGE. Hide and move the money.
