I have the old fire Stick which still works great and has been really good for me so far. I would like to install it into another TV upstairs. Do I need to link the stick and cube together, or will it just work like it always has on its own? I try to keep up on tech, but as the years tick by at 67. It's getting tougher to understand the forever changing world of devices coming out. Thanks again for the Video!

Whenever I power on Cube ("Echo- TV on") it defaults to it's own Cube home screen output- I want to bypass this and have it default to my TV box last channel for instance. Other info on web directs to the "Settings/Display & sounds/Set Power / Last Input " but there is no "set power" option in display & Sounds". trying to bypass saying "Alexa- switch to HDMI 1 (my cable hdmi input) every time I turn TV/Cube on. It will go to the Fire TV input via a voice request It works perfectly. I just bought the newest version and it will not work at all. I have an AV receiver connected to my TV via hdmi. When I went through set up I had the new cube import from my prior cube. The new cube recognized my LG TV. It turns my TV/receiver on/off but it defaults to the Fire TV home screen. I have to change the input to the TV cable box via my AV receiver remote or the receiver itself. It will not go to the TV input via voice. It will not change channels. It will control volume. I have tried to set it up several times. Nothing works. I hooked the old cube back up to check the settings but I cannot get the actual detailed settings without running the set-up again which I of course do not want to do. Suggestions? Update: I found the setting for the cube to default to the TV when the TV is powered on via the cube, and not the Fire screen. It is found under advanced settings - power on input - set it to TV Default. I reset up my cable box. It did not import from my old cube. Now everything seems to be working.

Go to Settings. Select Applications > Manage Installed Applications. Select the application you're having trouble with, then Force Stop > Clear Data. Follow the prompts. Restart Fire TV Cube by briefly unplugging the power adapter.
It saddens me that the device does NOT come with a 4K-certified HDMI cable. I do realize that this is a rather expensive addition, you leave it out and leave it up to the customer. I think I have one lying around for my installation when Mine arrives.
If I wanted to connect an Amazon Recast to the fire cube. Can I have the cube in one room, and the Recast in the other as to work on 2 different TVs? And how far apart is too far for the wifi signal? I have the cube in my bedroom and the Recast in the living room. And I can't seem to get the Recast to give a signal to the cube in my bedroom. And the Recast won't work on my LG TV with the preloaded prime app. My goal was to use one Recast dvr with the cube in my B room and on my LG TV in the L room with the preloaded prime app. How can I make this happen? Or do I need to move the Recast in my B room with the cube? Also if I decide to leave the Recast dvr in the L room, is there away to use cables to plug into my LG TV and use the Recast with the preloaded prime app? My TV has wifi, though I don't believe it has Bluetooth. Please HELP, thank you.
@@HelpCloud I have added a USB stick to the Fire TV cube. You have to insert it into the Cube itself using a conversion adaptor. It won't work with the Ethernet adaptor. It only sees the Fat 32 filesystem. I used it to record TV progs but the 4GB limit of FAT 32 and other unknown issues meant it only worked 50% of the time which made me abandon it for the now.
@@HelpCloud you can connect it to the cable box to change channels. I had it working and then it stop. Just like with the echo dot, you just say alex change channel to 45. And it would change channel. Not sure what happen. lol
Hi, my Cube recently decided to refuse to switch to HDMI 2 (My Tivo Box). It switches to HDMI 2 on command, BUT immediately then switches back to FIRE home screen. I've done a full reset. Any ideas? 🤔

Changing the time on it isn’t simple and I had to set for Atlantic time zone to get correct time and I live in the Eastern time zone.And you can’t have it easily display the current time!

Pls is it possible to feed my satellite decoder to the cube tv and watch it's content on the tv screen via the cube tv?

ASA long as I use the IR, may I assume that the Cube itself doesn't need to be out in the open?

It will not. It can only control channels or apps that come from the Firecube.

You would just say "Alexa" open up Dr Phil on Netflix or hulu or whatever streaming service it is on.

One can only be connected to one soundbar at a time. It can be PAIRED to multiples but only connected to one at a time.

You can't, it is a standalone system for streaming.

Try a new cable. Something in the cable could be causing a signal issue.

My cube doesn't prompt the setup. Screen just shows fire tv logo. I'm adding this to my firetv. Is there a way to force setup or restore the cube?

Reset the unit and try again, otherwise return it and snag a new one.
