    Pros
    1)Diversity
    Englewood is ranked #6 as the most diverse place to live in NJ
    Englewood is also ranked #3 as the most diver suburbs in NJ
    so no matter what’s your background and ethnicity is you will be probably feel belong in Englewood.
    2)downtown area
    Englewood has the one of the best downtowns areas in the whole of Bergen County.
    Many Bergen County residence comes over to hang out in Englewood downtown area.
    The Downtown area is located on W Palisade Ave between Tenafly Rd and Engle Street where you can find everything you need there:
    Supermarkets, Clothing shops, Restaurants, Bars, Bakeries, and ice cream shops.
    There are so many places that I love and ill share some my favorites:
    Sofia - Italian steakhouse with a basement cigar lounge offering elevated plates & creative cocktails, you should definitely try the branzino there.
    Rita’s Ice cream - an amazing Real Italian ice cream place.
    Baltazar bakery- French-inspired bakery offering baguettes, croissants & fruit tarts
    3)commute to nyc
    Located about 15 miles from midtown Manhattan Englewood is ideal place to live if you need to commute to NYC.
    There is no train to the NYC form Englewood, in order to get to the city, you must take the bus to port authority in mid-town Manhattan.
    The commute time is about 35 min- one hour depends on the time of the day.
    If you commute by car it should take you around 30 Minutes also depends on the time of the day.
    Englewood is also located 22 miles away from the Newark international airport and the commute should about 30 minutes.
    5)Englewood Hospital
    In the Englewood there is also the Englewood hospital is ranked the 7th best in the whole state of NJ and 16th best in the whole NY metropolitan area.
    Its always good to know that god forbit something happen you have such a great hospital near by.
    Cons
    1)school district
    Ones of the major drawback of living in Englewood is the schools
    Englewood school district is ranked #37 in Bergen county with only c+ rating.
    Englewood school district has total of 5 schools:
    3 Elementary schools : McCloud , Grieco and Quarles.
    1 Middle school : Dismus.
    1 High School Dwight Morrow.
    2)cost of real estate
    Home prices in Englewood can range from 400K- 6M depends on the neighborhood.
    Dean St divide Englewood to 2 parts, the East part the one that closer to the Hudson River is the more expensive side.
    The Average home sold price in Englewood is $1,05,000.
    Its going to be cheap living in Englewood.
    3)crime rates
    Englewood is not considered one of safest towns in Bergen county
    Englewood crime rates score is not one of the bests in Bergen County with only c+ ranking.
    So, take this in consideration before your moving your family to Englewood.
    4)Real Estate taxes
    The tax rate in Englewood is 2.89% that located somewhere in the middle in Bergen County.
    The average yearly tax bill is $13,500

    To be honest there’s little to no crime in the area (that I know of). It’s actually a great area especially how convenient it is to just take a walk downtown, not to mention how convenient it is to travel to New York. Been living here for 5 years now, great area in my opinion. Excellent review nonetheless🙌🏼🙌🏼

    I grew up in Englewood went to Dwight Morrow in the late to mid-eighties. It's always evolving keep in mind it is Bergen County and thus taxes can be pricy along with rent.

    I'm surprised you mention crime rate. I'm glad you do and it is helpful. But I'd be careful if you are a realtor. Don't want you getting in trouble for "steering".

    Another con....the roads. Almost every road in Englewood needs repaved. Thats a NJ problem as a whole, but Englewood is one of the worst. Just drove through it 10 minutes ago. Still a nice town.
