Don’t know how many videos I watched just to see something else. I like how you showed as much as you could including the rear light wiring. Good job brother, thanks for helping me out. Good video. I've already done the floor, back wall, c-pillars, and lower b-pillars hand was wondering if I should do the roof too. Looking at what's up there I'd definitely say "yes". Although I used "B-quiet". It's half the price of dynamat but works pretty much the same. Peel and stick and comes in 1 ft by 50 foot rolls. Thanks.

      Only if I folded it like a taco, I fear. The windshield is most likely method for extraction. The headliner is rather rigid and it would have resulted in a permanent crease or worse.

    I used Mega Zorbe Hydrophobic Melamine Foam on my 2019 ram 1500 classic. I thought I had to take the whole headliner out too but ended up just removing the 1. sun visors 2. the two front pillars 3. the two back clothes hangers. The headliner rests on the 2 middle pillars so no need to mess with those. You need to disconnect the back light by opening it and unclipping it. And thats it. we rested it on the seats and put the foam on which is really really really sticky. IF YOU TOUCH THE STICKY SIDE THE STICKY SIDE WILL STICK TO YOU AND YOU DESTROY THE PIECE YOU TOUCHED. so you have to be as careful as possible. You may also need to cut one wire in the back passenger side as mine ended up being too short and hanging up the headliner. No idea what it was for - thin green wire.

    Hi Jack, that's a great video man! I was thinking today about how to better cool off my Ram truck. I can feel heat pouring in from the rooftop therefore I'm glad I saw your video. If you don't mind me asking, did you by chance do a temperature check on the roof interior before and after your install? I'm curious how much it helps. I've had ceramic tint put on my windows and while it helps, I still think the overwhelming majority of the heat is coming in through the roof. And what's your recommendation on most bang-for-your-buck as far as dynaliner and dynamat if someone wanted to help stop heat through the roof? Thanks.

      I read somewhere that it can be folded enough to do so, like a taco and that the crease created can be smoothed out once re-installed. Otherwise, windshield or back window. Unless you need to remove it, work around it, and reattach wires when done. Good Luck!

    Not a hint of insulation on the roof to stop heat from radiating into the cab. This is why the cab of my 2015 Ram 1500 never cools off on a hot day with AC on max setting. Overall, i'm not very happy with my Ram compared to my past Tundra or F-150's. Thanks for the video.

      Larry G. There is some foam between the fabric and the molded portion of the headliner. It’s thin, but it is there and would help.
      I’m in north Texas and didn’t have trouble getting my crew cab cooled off after some run time. I did spend $400 to have all my windows tinted with the high end ceramic tint and that made a world of difference! Cools off in a fraction of the time it used to.

    Got a question, when removing the upper b pillars, did you have to take lower pillars off first to get top off? And also once you get seatbelt bolt out along with 2 tab bolts, do you just pull the upper pillar out like it’s held in with speed clips or is there something else you have to maneuver out?

    • @Zanezach
      @Zanezach  Před 5 lety

      Right, bottom B first then top, because it exposes a torx bolt. Once that bolt is removed, plastic clips keep it in place and you can gently pull down and away to remove the top B. Good luck!

    • @underradar9858
      @underradar9858 Před 5 lety

      Ah so it’s just not the seatbelt torx there’s also one underneath the bottom pillar for the top one?
      And also I’d have to remove the door sills to get bottom out?
      Would I beable to just slightly pry the bottom pillar out enough to get upper one out instead of taking whole bottom pillar out?
      Would of been great to see a step by step but prob hard to film while doing it all and making it long :) I just can’t find any videos on b pillar removal.

    I also own a 2010 Ram 1500 and I'm having a problem with my map lights...they won't turn on when pressing them while the doors are closed. They will only turn on by opening a door. However, they will turn off when pressing them while a door is open. Additionally, my visor vanity lights are not working at all. My suspicion is bad wiring above the headliner because the schematic diagram shows they all share a ground. Anyone else have this problem and is there an easier way to troubleshoot/repair?

      Heya Ryan. There are a few vids out there but essentially on the 4th Gens you can put extra washers as spacers on the floor bolts. It raises the back seat just a bit. It creates just the right amount of space at the hooks behind the seat. When you fold the rear seat up, it clears those hooks, allowing you to then drop the backrest. Super if you need to access that extra space. There is another way to do this -- cut the hooks themselves, but I do not recommend this. Hope that helps!
