God, I love running 100+ condensed resin runs just to get one EM goblet, and 125+ condensed resin runs to get an on-set EM circlet
I've run the new domain twice (2 condensed) and already have EM cup + EM circlet on the paradise lost set
After 2 years I finally got my first EM main stat goblet on VV. Still don't have an EM circlet. Meanwhile I'm sitting on SO MANY 40+ CV VV pieces. EM main stat is near impossible to get

@@Chrisgarciam Guess everyone is different, I benched him in aggravate because Kazuha bring too much damage to the table. Now I am playing with no shield and no healer, but that's only possible because Keqing/Yae is a quickswap carry. You cannot do the same with Cyno (at least not as effectively).
I play cyno as a hyperbloom trigger and you are right zhongli is essential for him, and the enemy res reduction from zhongli is nice at least

So effectively you aren't just pulling childe but the ability to use xingqiu in tazer, bloom variations or freeze.
The same argument can be made for Ayaka or Ganyu who , when pulled ,effectively gives you 2 five stars because it makes Mona to no longer be useless.

Very well said, Ayato isn't the best 1# pick in any team, theres always someone better than him like in international, this is why he isn't exactly the most meta pull. BUT, He is ALWAYS a good pull regardless of the situation, he's either always 2nd best or on par with the other options in hydro based teams, but he works everywhere regardless of the team you put him.
Freeze? go for it, bloom reactions? one of the best on field drivers, Taser? one of the best on field drivers, Vape? one of the best on field drivers, Soup? one of the best options, the list goes on. His on field and off field hydro presence is very useful
Yes as someone who used to call him 'mid' I now understand his value of just being insanely flexible and still being pretty damn strong nonetheless. An actual 'Jack-of-all-trades.'
He's also very easy to use and build! I love my Ayato.

General top 5* account value picks = best off-field characters. These characters provide value to the most teams. They can support 4* or 5* on-fields characters and have value quick-swap teams.
Either best off-field or have great synergy with national, because national is broken.
Nahida, Yelan, Raiden, Kazuha and ig Zhongli and Venti as well have off field functionally so it stands.
The off field is also why national is amazing
I use Albedo in Tighnari spread teams, because Nahida is busy in other teams and Albedo also shares EM while doing significant off-field damage
Even better with Zhongli for the resonance :D

Nilou is really strong in terms of damage for aoe and shes easy to play
its just that she’s really restricted because she didnt have a lot of team option on her release and mihoyo should have released her later on in sumeru
With time, she’s only gonna get better so her pull value is great if you care about the future and not the present.

Honestly at this point I've given up any hope skippers accepting how great Nilou teams are including TCs so this is a surprise for sure lol. I saw some TCs testing Wanderer teams and most of them are like "well to be fair, this abyss is hard/he's not really good on this abyss" while for Nilou it's always been "well she's only good cause of this abyss, just wait for bosses on both chambers and see how she falls off". It's supposed to be this abyss but Nilou teams turned out to be amazing for this abyss as well lmao. It's true that it's really dependent on Nahida and in a lesser sense Kokomi, but Nahida's one of the best char to pull for anyway.
I have C0 Kuki but honestly switching to her to recast her E in the middle of my rotations isn't a big deal, you just have to be careful and whenever you see her ring disappearing you just swap to her and cast her E again, you basically lose the time of a E proc and since your teammates are usually characters like XQ, Yelan, Nahida, Beidou, Fischl, it's not really a problem to randomly needing to swap to Kuki and refresh her E in the middle of a 20s rotation. Even with C2 Kuki I would still probably break my 20s rotations to recast her E everytime it expires instead of losing 5 seconds of uptime, I don't mind to lose the comfort of a "fixed" rotation and it's honestly quite some fun imo because you need more awareness in an already extremely simple game.
C0 kuki works fine on fast switch hyperbloom teams, like 2 dendro + childe, I use her on my nahida + traveler team, and the need to swap back to her for getting her E back helps a lot to not screw up childe's E cooldown
Also, Kuki's just more reliable - anywhere from just a bit to significantly more so depending on the particular flavor of hyperbloom - in multitarget and especially against flying enemies.
I've had Raiden keep procing on one enemy standing next to Kokomi's jellyfish while all the other enemies (and my Dendro application) had long since moved halfway across the room
I haven't tried hyperbloom Raiden, but just the thought of it makes me cringe. There's no way I'm giving up on Raiden National, and kuki is 95% as good (and better in some situations) plus she's a healer and equally energy independent. Just 3-starred 12-3 on first half with Ayato-Nahida-Kuki-Fischl and they kept within 90 sec with very comfy non-rigid rotations. Zajef wasn't kidding about freeze / hutao teams not being as necessary any more.

I managed to clear Floor 12 (past rotation) with Kuki Hyperbloom, and I completely forgot that I don't even have C2 yet. She works well enough to clear content at C0. My Kuki is just lvl 80, but her blooms hit hard enough even in single target, so constellations shouldn't be a deciding factor in using her.
100% TF Keqing is a super fun unit to play and with dendro I actually have legitimate reasons to play her now over other units

I built 4pc TF Keqing with very decent stats and then benched her when i got Alhaitham, and now i'm playing vape Yoi with Yelan and other Yelan teams, maybe i should try Alhaitham+Yelan
Man the rate which i get characters makes me feel weird when i bench some because i don't have enough time to try them

@@roxas5071 I much prefer keqing/nahida/fischl/zhongli to any alhaitham team which is why I didn't roll for him. The damage ceiling is basically the same (without cons), but the rotations are much easier and more flexible on Keqing than alhaitham. Just my own preferences though.

@@roxas5071 true, but you can always swap zhongli for kazuha in keqing aggravate and that requires you to maintain a very specific rotation to keep your electro swirl and ends up scaling extremely well with player skill.
I'm one of those people that haven't benched zhongli since I pulled for him, even tho I don't use him too often on the abyss he is just too comfortable to play (I used to play on my phone and it was hell, so zhongli did make things easier for me) 😁
i just bring him on overworld nowadays, that extra comfort is too nice
I benched him to force myself to learn countering with Beidou, but I still use him if I'm too tired to dodge and just wanna finish a fight quick or if my hands hurt holding my phone (I just place my phone down and play with 2-3 fingers).
I dont understand why Hoyo made this specific set to be so minimally better in its own niche. I mean whats the point? If you gonna make hyper-specific set, it should at least be significantly better.
They realized that if they released a much better bloom set after i just farmed gilded for 2 months I'd write them an extremely stern note in the next survey.
Same thing happened with Xiao's set IIRC. Almost exact same numbers in terms of upgrade.

Who doesnt love dendro? It gave c0 Raiden players a new viable gameplay, revived Kuki from the abyss and somehow made the best mc until now

I want a Chongyun for every element, and maybe some more great uses for Chongyun himself. Another kind of character I've always fantasized of: E and Q are simply weapon stances and attacks with a physical weapon, meaning your E and Q benefit from infusions while also having a physical kit. Eula still applies some cryo so I guess they wouldn't do 100% phys, so I wonder which element would be ideal. Low application sounds versatile, anemo could allow an interesting self-VV build, mainly as driver? (Candace mains rejoice)

Chongyun suffers from a combination of being somewhat mediocre character, and cryo infusion not being that great. Characters that benefit from cryo don't benefit from chongyun and characters that could benefit from chongyun don't benefit from cryo. Bennett c6 on the other hand is an incredibly better option in terms of what he does and where he can be used. Chong's only use is his infusion. Even the buffs that come with it aren't that great. Atleast Candace buffs normal damage which is cool
@@toninomatalone7323 Yeah, it's a shame cause CD reduction is cool too, it just doesn't stack up to be much. I pretty much just use Chong as a melt carry to switch it up, I've personally never found him a helpful team building block, but I do have literally every cryo to compete with him.

Hydro is just the biggest part of reactions and Xingqiu is the bottleneck that stops people from running 2 good f2p abyss teams pre dendro.
Unlike other elements, other elements except geo(because geo sucks) and anemo mostly rely on hydro.
The elusive 2u of Hydro on short cooldown, perhaps.
Hydro is just a good baseline. Extremely good at everything except at being a DPS lol

16:50 - Getting C5 Keqing on Cyno's banner was probably the best 50/50 loss I'll ever experience. It convinced me to stop being salty about back-to-back 50/50 losses to her and just build her to make the best of the situation. Now, hers one of my most played teams in the recent patches. I love how flexible her rotations are and how mobile she is. And she was the first 5-star I've ever pulled, so it feels nostalgic to go back to my 1.0 roots of Keqing+Fischl. :)
Better than losing to Qiqi, atleast. Because that supreme harsher wants to forcing me to play Qiqi instead of Keqing. It's 2 years passed now, but my Keqing is only C1, so.

Yao yao is a healer with off field dendro app, idk how much she apply and how her icd work but i kinda exited about her because i kinda want a healer on my keqing agrovate without sacrificing fischl or kazuha and since its agrovate comp her app isn't really matter

I actually doubt they'll make a dendro or anemo shielder. Give Geo/Zhongli a bit more distinction from the other non PECH elements.
Imagine Baizhu being a dendro healer/shielder that negates blooms self dmg.
The existence of hyperbloom and burgeon just kills most dps 5star units at c0. Building dps units take months just to farm for crits stats and then on the other hand you only need to lv up to 90 with some mediocre artifacts with em stats.

I love to see Nilou and Kokomi in consideration for being the highest value five stars in the game. I do value comfort quite a bit so I like Kokomi for that, and Nilou pre-Nahida gave Barbara, Traveler, and Collei a meta team. No other unit in the game can say that. I like how you say so many things are account dependent because it's true!! What's best for you and your account will be specific to you because nobody else will necessarily have your exact mix of constellations, characters, and playstyle preferences (not to mention other factors like Waifu/husbando factor, design, etc.).
If you are running a burgeon team that also runs an electro, flop doesn't increase your overload damage, but gilded does. The ~5% damage increase flop has assumes all of your damage comes from the dendro cores...if a decent chunk comes from overload, the damage increase is miniscule.
I would add something positive about zhongli.
Even though shielding got a bit nerfed lately by some new mechanics, the resistance to interruptions you get from it became more valuable , since his shield last so long allows your carry to go through his faze of dmg without wasting dps, yoimiya/ayato/xiao/wanderer/melt ganyu...(if they get interrupted the whole rotation would be wasted and lose so much dmg)
so i would say he is overkill or unnecessary for some teams, but completely op for other teams.

I felt that comment about VV domain. I farmed that domain for about 6 months just to build triple em kazuha and even that wasn't enough and I had to use artifact strongbox for quite some time too.
Felt. I farmed the domain for a year since Kazuha's og release and still didn't get any 5* EM circlet nor goblet. Then moved to the strongbox and it wasn't until like a month ago when I got both in a single conversion. I felt I was finally freed from hell.
@@mokalevi436 Oh man, your case is worse than mine. I felt it was extra painful since I'm playing with a friend and he got a better kazuha than mine by just 20 days worth of VV domain farm. Then he built 3 dendro units with just 1 month of artifact farming while I was still struggling the VV domain.
I don't feel that at all. IMO sets that can be completed using just EM pieces are the best. I have full EM VV on 5 Anemo units with 2 EM on set goblets and I used relatively little resin(across 2 accounts). To me, VV is the easiest domain to farm for.
Emblem domain on the other hand? I managed to get a good XL set on both accounts, but not a single good 4 piece Emblem set and not a single good Shimi set on either account and I have spent months in that domain with both accounts. I dare say 20k resin spent in that hell hole with nothing to show for.

Edit: I'm still using 2 piece sets with my XL even though I farmed that domain for a very long time as well.

I just got 6 EM goblets for the new Bloom set, yet not a single complete Wanderer set...i hate this game.

Hot take but I prefer Thoma for yoimiya. Pyro resonance + 15% NA dmg boost at c6
thing is he's not even a required there, you can play overvape yoimiya with xingqiu/fischl/beidou if you just want the stagger resistance and survivability, all 4*s you can buy from the shop, makes her good in AoE content too

Yeah , its wierd, for all the talk that ZL is never optimal , he still is the go to option for units that have few synergies, like Xiao, Melt Ganyu, Yoimia, Wanderer , Hu Tao, Klee and he is pretty good with Itto too.

I guess it's more or less like HI3, whereas herrscher is a good pull almost always (thou their "meta-ness" may not last long sometimes)

It won't be that hard for the Hydro Archon to be on par with Hydro units. Generally speaking if you want to make a unit strong ,in a game, you have 2 options.
Option 1: BIG NUMBERS.
Option 2: Rule Breakers.(a good example of a rule breaker that is strong just by breaking the rules is Enigma in Dota)
They could simply give her big numbers(how they gave ZL the biggest shield and Venti the best CC), or they could make her a Rule Breaker like how Raiden gives Energy and has some unique mecanics that nobody else has, or how Nahida Has an E that guarantees damage, and so on.
Another topical example of a unit that is a Rule Breaker(kind of), is Xiangling who can vape all her damage because she has no ICD .
Your video is really helpfull. You saved me from spanding a lot of resin for not that good new set, I trully avoided a lot of emotional damage thanks to you.
Keqing Aggravate has been one of my favorite comps to use in the past few weeks. I surprisingly managed to get 36 stars with her full damage team, even against the corrosion wolves. The team I use is Keqing Nahida Fischl Kazuha. DMC works as well, but I find Nahida's pseudo-aoe Dendro application a lot more comfortable to work with.

I AGREE SO MUCH ON THE GANYU TAKE! She was my first 5 star and now I rarely use her for abyss but ganyu makes overworld a piece of cake and being a sniper is kinda fun
What you said about Childe is so true, as a f2p it was very easy for me overtime to clear abyss and any other content with him, and yes now i have many more characters but none feel as Strong as him. Both in big pp numbers and consistent aoe dmg
I guess you still have time and energy to tolerate bad kit for little gain in number. "Consistent" is not what I would describe him. Come back from work at 9pm, I would need a true META team to clear Abyss or any hard content, and it definitely not him even tho I like him.

It is a casual game with +60 characters and 4 units team based. For Abyss you require investment in 8. I'm not going to tell you how to play.
@@_ddoraemon_ Most Effective mean you reach target in an efficient way, that is fastest, easy and consistent. Same reason why Dragon Strike Dilus wasn't his meta even tho numerically it's the best.
Maybe Childe used to be META when people lacking resource to reach dps check. But now they need something else other than just pure dps. Comfort, reliable, ease of use. Childe aside from damage lack all of that, so much that you need skill to compensate. And having more damage than necessary is as useful as having more heal, shield, hydrop application.
If I can unga bunga with Ayato and get the 36 stars reward, what reason is there for me to put up with Childe if I get the exact same reward?
And yeah. I have not spend a single dime into this game either.
@@ancy1205 There are a lot of people that like to play Childe International (and I mean a lot of fucking people, International tops the chart of abyss usage) because it's simply the best form of a Xiangling team, also some people like a playstyle that is more involved/interactive/challenging so they opt of Childe more than let's say Ayato which is braindead easy to play and at least for me Ayato get's old real quick compared to Childe's more dynamic gameplay

Being dynamic and hard to play go against the very notion of "Effective" in META itself. Some people love to play him? I respect that. Some people love to challenge themselves by doing boxing with one arm being tied behind their back? I respect that. But going home at 9 PM, i only have enough energy to use META team, that is the "most EFFECTIVE tactic available" to clear abyss.

Hm, I see that almost nobody's talking about it but I've been playing for a bit with Childe Fridge and it's actually insane how good it is if your cryo unit is Layla.
Childe, Nahida, Layla and Kazuha. Kazuha grouping up enemies + resistance shred and being able to apply the cryo from layla, + her absurdly strong shield
I find it super cozy to run almost any content in the game this way. I feel like childe international is not his only good team anymore ^^
also her stars are constantly applying cryo and rotations create even more stars so there's just.. tons of cryo to keep up with nahida and childe dendro and hydro application
Ayato is so flexible that so difficult to choose which team I should slot him in. I used to run Soup on him all the time but now it's more hyperbloom with dendro MC (Nahida is with my Keqing), Kuki and Kazuha. It's equally strong and fun
I actually ACTUALLY agree with the top 6. In fact, they are my top 6 as well. Archons+Kazuha & Yelan. They may not the best units for ever situation but these 5 stars have certain value where they surpass everyone with full speed.

What you said about Venti is the truth, and I think it also applies to Ganyu (and I think it’s worth mentioning because a lot of the playerbase wasn’t around to see Morgana’s dominance.) If enemies can be sucked into Venti burst the game is literally super easy. Ganyu’s burst *also* gains a ton of value if enemies are suckable because Ganyu’s burst will hit every single icicle. (Some people like to use the word “quadratic scaling” but it isn’t quadratic, it’s just that Ganyu actually hits the entire burst.) I think community perception of both units is way lower than it should be.
in the same boat as you for cyno. Pulled him and his wep cause he looks cool and he's fairly fun but no interrupt resistance and the required on field time felt a lot worse than simply using the c4 keqing I already had and doing some sort of quickswap so now I have a newfound use for keqing even though I used to hate playing her but with dendro she feels great so now my cyno is rotting unfortunately
On the opposite end here lol. I got used to playing Cyno and for me his interruption resistance is easily solved with Beidou or XQ. I just swap back to Nahida again near the end of his burst if I need do. Meanwhile, I don't use Keqing cause I don't care for her much, I'm not good at aiming her and also cause I lost 5050 to her twice. Different strokes for different folks.
Nah, cyno is really cool to play and as said before, xingqiu or beidou or both, solves any problem with interruption you may have. Nahida have 20+ seconds so we can use nahida eq, then xingqiu eq and stay for more than 15 seconds with cynos burst.
I think gilded is way more valuable than flop for overall domain

Zhongli is also my biggest regret in terms of pulling. I was hearing a lot that Xiao is unplayable without him, so I pulled both at the same time. Now Zhongli's almost always benched, except for times when I need to farm ores, that makes me kinda mad at people that spread that "must pull" agenda

with every new video of zajef i realize more that he is the best content creator in almost every aspect of the genshin, at least for combat systems and best gamewise advises, he is a funny guy and a smart player... just one thing that i realize though is the lack of a strong youtuber in genshin community in game's lore aspects like vaatividya for fromsoftware's games for example. there is so much potential in game's lore which no one cared enough except reddit community.

Zajeff is good in theorycrafting and combat based content. Other than that I don't think so. Bwaap and Zyox are funnier, Braxophone and Sevy are better for newbies and casuals to learn about this game, and for whale content I think Asianguystream (Atsu) is better

i find myself on the opposite side of the spectrum. Overworld battles don't require me that much effort that i ever need anything more than kuki or any simple, over time healer like barbara. Also doesn't help that i find zhongli's animations somewhat slow. But i use zhongli for the weekly task every single time just because of how comfortable he is

Usage rate is determined by the amount of people who use the team who own it/the amount of people who own it so it's not really a good statistic for measuring meta. Also, where did you get that Cyno quickbloom was the 2nd most used team? I'm pretty sure its in the top 10 but 2nd sounds a bit dubious

I would also add one more thought when you compare EM Raiden vs EM Kuki for hyperbloom. Kuki's electro application does not stop when you face a slime, abyss mage / lector shield, Raiden 'E' stops working. Hyperbloom procs are extremely good against hydro shields.
I think it would be more important to note how Kuki's electro app isn't dependant on attacking like raiden and, as such, it is *consistently* every 1.5s while Raiden's can vary by a few tenths of a second each time

I've been playing this game for two years now and I've accumulated a lot of the characters by now. Zhongli was my first 5* and I actually have 5/6 of the characters that made it into your final top 6 list! Only one I'm missing is Raiden. And I've got to say, I'm loving the heck out of all of them. I think Nahida is the only one I would label a must pull not because of her combat capabilities but because of her ability to yoink items out of the overworld--it's so much more useful than Zhongli's ability to craft polearms or Raiden's ability to ascend them. And of course in combat...I've only had her a week now but I've already used her to make short work of Spiral Abyss with my hyperbloom team! Zhongli is not only comfortable to play with but also fun to nuke with--I just got my first limited 5* weapon, Staff of Homa, at Lantern Rite and I was able to get over 300k out of a DPS check with him (on 4pc Tenacity, even)!
I think Yelan might be the weakest pick on the list, to be honest. She's super fun and I pulled her because I like her personality and vibe but my c6 Xingqiu with Sac Sword outperforms her. So when I'm looking at Spiral Abyss, I'm contemplating which side gets to bring Xingqiu and which side gets to bring Less Hydro Application Xingqiu. Or I could run them together, but it's a toss up whether my Yoimiya is stronger with double hydro or with Yun Jin instead. So I might bring Ayato on the other side to sub-DPS for Ayaka, or run a Childe team instead. I'd consider Yelan to be an essential must-pull if your Xingqiu is below, say, c3, but if he's c3+ then you're better off wishing for Xingqiu cons instead if you aren't planning to use both of them together.
Raiden is someone I missed once and skipped twice. Opinions on her are interesting. She's someone that everyone assumes you have, you know? I'll probably get her on a rerun now that I have all of the characters I really like (except Eula), because you can't deny that she's a very high value unit!
And the anemo...I both agree and disagree with your placement of both Venti and Kazuha in the list. I think that while they do different things, Sucrose is a powerful enough unit to bridge the gap between them that if you have her, you do not need both of them. Venti offers a consistent vortex that lasts a long time (such as the duration of Ayaka's burst), while Kazuha offers a lot more flexibility in your rotations due to his shorter cooldown but his grouping does not keep enemies in place for long. I find myself using Kazuha more due to the increased flexibility that comes from being able to knock large enemies down by using his hold skill twice in a row with Sac Sword.
The real test, I think, is who I find myself using nowadays in the overworld. At the end of the day, Spiral Abyss is just 1200 primogems/month, and the real meat of the game is exploration and story. And of those six, my pick is Kazuha. My team is Chongyun/Kazuha/Xingqiu/Kaeya and it's super comfy to play, and since the overworld enemies are so comparatively weak (all four of them are built for Spiral Abyss), it's trivial to use Xingqiu's skill to heal anyone back up to full and to use his damage reduction to mitigate damage. That is, if the enemies survive long enough to even damage the team! Plus, Kazuha can double jump with a much shorter cooldown than Venti's hold skill.

This is my personal favorite team for Vaporeon (Vaporized Burgeon):
Ayato, Nahida, Bennett, Jean
Nahida is used to apply a LOT of Dendro (1.5u), anyone else else (DMC, Collei) does not work as efficient as her.
Bennett + Jean (Sunfire) is used to apply, Pyro, enabling Burning, and triggering Burgeon.
Ayato is irreplaceable (unless DPS nilou I guess?). His burst is used to create Bloom Seeds, while his E will always guarantee to Vaporize (3 hit icd ofc) because the Burning/Pyro aura is still on the target.
Note: You can't swirl Hydro (you can, but only for the first rotation), so you should focus on your Burgeon damage for Jean.
Also other names I could think of:
Vaporeon (Vaporized + Burgeon, Pokemon reference)
Deep Fry (Too much Pyro, Ayato's burst is essentially a boiling oil)
Burnt Toast (Burning Ayato, literally)
Forest Sunfire (Sunfire + Dendro)
Vaporeon
I prefer childe,nahida,bennet,kazuha for burgeon team
Nahida / Thomas full EM / waterboy / Bennet is hand down the best burgeon team

I still reccomend zhongli as a must pull for newbie, because most of the people irl that i know who want to try genshin is usually either casual gamer or just a newbie in gaming. Childe on the other hand is a character i always give a harsh warning for those people if they ever ask me about pulling him or not. If i see them still screwing an easy rotation i would scare them away from pulling childe, despite me being a childe international enjoyer my self.
If electro infusion support is available, Razor will have something "LUXURY" like the C6 5 star limited character. Doesn't mean it's as powerful as the C6 5star limited, it just makes it as luxurious as the C6 5star limited.
If you notice how C6 Yoimiya, Wanderer, Cyno, it gives additional elemental hits. When Razor gets electro infusion support, Razor can do the same thing with the 3 characters earlier, producing lots of elemental hits and providing fast elemental applications.
I pulled Yelan to the team. I never swap her off the team. I strongly recommend pull her for new player or older. Both Xingqiu and Yelan are good but I prefer her over Xingqiu for overall content or you can play both it's up to you.

anemo is leaps and bounds stronger than most elements. even without 4pc Viridescent, anemo is still very much viable.

The one small downside of Raiden HB is that her E procs on damage, not hit. Hitting shielded enemies will not proc her E (as long as the shield negates all damage).
Sprawling shots created by hyperbloom doesn't apply dendro iirc, so it won't help in shieldbreaking. At that point, whether the comp can proc hyperbloom or not doesn't really matter

Disagree strongly on Burgeon Hu Tao. She actually needs C1 LESS than standard vape Hu Tao. You are basically running the walnut team with burgeon hu tao just that you swap out Albedo for Nahida. Hu Tao is able to get plenty of EM while still being able to do solid vape dmg and she doesn't need to CA every attack. It is the easiest team for me to clear any floor with that I have. Heck, I don't have Homa and I still run PJWS over Dbane with 4-pc gilded, EM sands, EM helm and just run high EM Nahida. Hu Tao can easily get to around 700 EM with this while still having solid cr/cd for her vapes and burst.
EDIT: Actually using an HP sands so she is at 32,000 hp and fully buffed at 795 EM. A hybrid build. Sure it may not be the most efficient, but its comfy and very easy to clear.
Don't be to harsh on him. Everyone has an opinion on this. Besides he doesn't even say the damage is bad, just playing a character that want to be low HP with additional damage didn't feel good. I think even Jstern said it was funny if I remember even though the DPS looked solid with KQM standard. VV vape level without Bennett of ST and superior AoE.
I think it's more due to using Thoma, you use Burgeon much better than HuTao that it feels this way. Same holds true for Yoi that people didn't want to play in Vape initially because she vaped worse than no ICD Pyro.

Thoma Burgeon doesn't do 150K bursts and 60k vapes though while still burgeoning for 30k. 3 things kinda carry this though: Zhongli as always. Nahida And C6 XQ. And the fact that you can use normal attacks more with a burgeon/hybrid build means its easier for someone like me who only has C0 Hu Tao to survive.
Honestly i feel like venti is underrated vs enemies that cant be pulled. His burst still does decent dmg, doesnt have as much energy issues as sucrose and can allow shorter rotation. Well i guess kazuha would be better in those situations, but having no kazuha, venti still got advantages over sucrose.
Venti is also a pretty good battery in his own right. Somehow became an underrated unit after Inazuma, after all the hype on release about him being the best character in the game.
The thing about Genshin is that your roster of support characters is vastly more important than your choice of main dps. When people ask “what’s the best character to get?” I always say to get 2-3 different dps you think is cool or fun, and prioritize the supports they need.

In my opinion, the most valuable featured 5 star units currently are:
1. Zhongli
2. Kazuha
3. Nahida
4. Raiden
5. Kokomi
6. Venti
7. Yelan*
*While Yelan is a strong contender and definitely on my wishlist, I'd say others on this list offer a kit which simply cannot be replaced by other units, at least not at this moment in time. Other units like Ganyu, Ayaka, Hu Tao, Yoimiya, Miko, Cyno, Wanderer... etc., are of course very powerful, but they can be "replaced" by other 5 star units, or even 4 stars.
What determines pull value in my eyes is literally "How much can I get out of this unit, if I pull for them? How unique is their kit, how many playstyles do they offer, can I use them in many teams, how powerful are their talents, what QoL improvements will I receive, will they help me farm, do daylies and beat spiral abyss faster? Or are they only going to do more personal damage? (which I won't need once I have solid artifacts on them)"
Now look at this list again and you will see what I mean. These units are simply great to have... comfortable, if you will.
Also, one interesting thing about this list is that most of these units are actually supports or sub-DPSs. Just goes to show how impactful and valuable these categories are in this game.

In the end, it mostly depends on Abyss line up. Hopefully there won't be a day when Mihoyo decides to make floors that counter every Meta character we know of. 🤣

Nahida is fucking broken. She has the easiest element to deal damage, she applies it periodically with 1.5U and it's duration is very long, her damage is also very good, she's not burst reliant, her burdt buff her and give EM to active character and above all, she doesn't need a lot of field time.

Thanks for the balanced take on Xiao. The community has massive misconceptions about him. He's much better than both Wanderer and Cyno, the other 2 proper "hypercarrys" in the game.

Childe was the first limited 5 star I got, and to this day, International is still my strongest team. Back in the day I didn't have Kazuha yet, but Sucrose works perfectly fine! I bring them along every abyss rotation, even though I have Raiden, freeze teams and dendro stuff now.

As someone who has mained Keqing since 1.3, I only wished it didn't take so long for people to realize how fun she is to play. Even before Aggravate and her damage wasn't the most amazing in the world, it didn't matter IMO because she was still able to clear Abyss just fine and had a really fun kit.
Also main Xiao, and I agree, his issues are overblown a lot of the time. He's not meta by any means, but I think the community often acts like he's worst than Qiqi at times. If you actually learn how the play the character, it's not hard to get around his flaws.
Final character I main that was mentioned, Nilou, and I use her in non-Bloom setups. I know Bloom is her niche, but I wish people would see her value outside of it. She can be in Freeze, Vape, Taser, and her damage isn't that terrible in those comps as a carry that a player who doesn't care about Ayato or Childe should ignore her value in pulling for her as a general Hydro DPS.
Always because only one, tho. The one who demanding playing Cryo only like Ayaka and Qiqi and trashing all characters. It also forcing me to play Qiqi instead Keqing too. I don't want to be haunted by Qiqi at all cost!
Artifact RNG almost made me quit several times since launch. In my last endeavor, I tried getting a good Deepwood set with crit/EM/whatever for 2 months, and now I'm a proud owner of a decent triple EM Gilded set while Deepwood only has a few good flowers and feathers...
Outside VV, Noblesse, Clam and now Gilded I pretty much only run 2pc/2pc due to crap luck.
As someone who saved for Xiao on his release banner and somehow managed to get Hu Tao in the same patch they carried me till like Riden release, and maybe if I manage to get c6 Faruzan I'll play Xiao again.
When I was new to the game and kinda bad at it his game play did seem pretty simple and big dmg(for 1.3 lol), rn I just really don't want to bother with his ER bs in abyss. For now he is built and looking pretty on my character stand, but hardly ever used(I also got his signature last year lol).
Tao on the other hand I still somewhat use to this day (pulled Yelan for waifu reasons and then realized how busted they are together). And I still consider winning 50/50 on her the best thing that happened on this account:)

Yeah. Kazuha is the only one with comfortable enough utilities to compensate for lack cluster unit with badly design kit such as Childe. There's no way I would ever touch Childe without Kazuha.
I always have fun playing Xiao in events where we can use him, but he's never quite felt worth pulling to me. My be my favourite character I'll never pull haha
Meanwhile, I'm probably the worst Xiao player in genshin but I just try to use him anyway lol.
despite some chars being highest dmg and have the most dmging teams, personally fun (factoring in how easy it is to use and setup the teams) and flexibility is what keeps a char in my team for use, both in coop overworld and abyss (given the content fits)

While physical damage/Eula is not in the meta at all, a lot of TC people also have a clear bias against Eula. I firmly believe TC should be the people who cover and explore every possibility on every character regardless of their personal preference.
As for the current meta, C0 Eula is not recommended because there's just no truly synergistic teammates for that playstyle. A hyper carry without decent support and sub DPS will fall off.
So unless
1. You like her character and playstyle
2. You're rich and too lazy to care about playing with reactions
3. You just want a solution to brute force everything but not the best solution to something.
Then you can consider C6 Eula.
Again, as for the current meta, getting a C0 Eula is not recommended for anyone aiming to have a easier time in the abyss. If you're like a bored AR60 player who just want to collect everyone and try them out, then by all means.

I play H2Tao Burgeon, I just put R5 Proto Amber on Nahida. It helps mitigate ER needed on Nahida and it helps sustain Hu Tao while not overhealing because of the Burgeon explosions.

Same here. Got em circlet and sands relatively early and pretty high rolls on flower and feather. Only increased my hyperbloom dmg by 800 :/ out of 30k prev dmg. It’s very underwhelming and not worth it.
