    i used my time at uni to socialize with my hallmates / flatemates and that was right for me then and i miss it in hindsight. the one thing i will say is that during that time i did not develop any good habits for my future life. it all worked out for me, but to the ending portion of ur vid, my life exp would suggest that the value ur gonna get out of ur lifestyle is discipline. that is more imp than any sheet of paper tbh

      Great comment. Glad you're doing well, I agree with you and I hope that you're right, the habits you build along the way are going to be much more valuable than the degree at the end. But the social side is also very important, and you can learn a lot from it. But I guess the more you do of one the less you do of the other and that's the choice.

    how did you decide upon your subjects? i'm thinking of applying for mid-year but am very conflicted on what i want to do, also great video!

      I did Economics at A-Level, and it was my best one. I've always been interested in philosophy despite not studying it until now, so PPE just seemed like a good choice. But, I would recommend to anyone to look at your interests, because you will do best in the course you are most interested in. In my opinion, having academic experience in the course is less important. I appreciate the comment and hope this helped.

    All the other Loughborough vids from other CZcamsrs I got bored and didn't finish but this one... I was intrigued from beginning to end. Also I need urgent help: in your opinion if you had a chance would you have picked Nottingham or Loughborough for your course?

      Cheers mate, that’s a really good compliment. I picked Loughborough for a simple reason. The sport. But Lough lectures/academics is also great, it’s a top 10 UK uni, and my experience with PPE has been good. To be fair sport at Nottingham is also really good. Also Nottingham is in a city, where Loughborough is just next to a town. If you haven’t already you should go to look at both on open days, speak to people, see accommodation etc. So I haven’t really answered your question, and that’s because it really depends on you and where you see yourself best. Sorry.

      @@SpencerWalker-Pritchard I see, thanks for your help I've been to Loughborough and it was amazing. I'll have to go and have a look at nottingham then I shall decide which one to firm.

    Hi Spencer, does the university provide german lessons or is this your own independent study? I'm interested in continuing to learn spanish to become fluent and know that lboro has a languages centre how should I go about this if I end up going to lboro this year?

    • @SpencerWalker-Pritchard
      @SpencerWalker-Pritchard  Před měsícem

      Hi Selina, good question. German is my own independent study but as you say Lough does have a languages centre. So, it depends on your course, some courses will let you choose your modules, and one of these modules can be a language. If it doesn’t, you can always pay to join to classes for the year. So, either way, you will be able to continuing learning Spanish in a formal classroom way at Loughborough. Also, there are classes for different levels. Hope this helps.

    for the football pitch you were playing on, what hall is closest to it?

    • @SpencerWalker-Pritchard
      @SpencerWalker-Pritchard  Před měsícem +1

      That pitch is only 2 min walk from my halls Royce, so it is very close to the halls in the Village area (Royce, faraday, Cayley) etc . But there are other pitches, and full-size pitches with goals near the powerbaye gym, and near hollywell. But these are hard to use as they are usually being used by teams.
