If you're self-catered at Robert Bakewell, you can still use the food courts, snack shops etc. with a pre-loaded universal card?

Hey there! Yep, Claudia Parsons would be fine. I think any accommodation on campus would be fine. It would certainly be a closer distance to your lectures than anything off-campus.
I'm considering to apply to Loughborough as an undergraduate international student and planing to live on-campus for the first year. Could you provide more details on how you can find out if the halls you chose are close to your major department (psychology)?

Hi there, yep you can live off campus in your first year. Just make sure that wherever it is you want to live has good reviews.
This video was very informative, thank you. One question I do have is: Is Elvyn Richards the ONLY accommodation that is catered and has en-suite’s?
Glad you found it informative! To answer your question: Elvyn isn't the only en-suite + catered hall. All of the catered halls (except Towers apart from one room) have en-suite rooms. The only thing is that every single room in Elvyn is en-suite as opposed to having choices for other room types in other catered halls.
@@mistamontero Thank you for your fast, lucid reply! I have one other inquiry. To receive a catered accommodation that has an en-suite bathroom other than Elvyn Richards, would I have to request for the room in advance? What would be the process of obtaining the room?
I believe it would just be a case of selecting the en-suite room as your preference when the accommodation selections open-up. Double check this with the accommodation office and they will also be able to let you know the date in which you can select accommodation preferences.

what would you say the best accom for english would be? i went to the offer day today and despite loughborough being one of my least preferred options, it’s now my absolute number one and i fell in love :) my only downside is the town - have you found any niche areas in town?
I’m glad to hear this. Yeah, there are a bunch on new cool places in town. I doubt you’ll find it boring tbh.

I think any accommodation on campus (including The Holt) will be a decent distance from where you might have lectures. I’m not entirely sure of the exact building that is used for psychology, but it would most likely be on-campus.

Thank you for the interesting vid!! I will come to lboro next year as a Graduate, but the places all say that the rooms are for Undergraduate, can I go to one of them as a Graduate Exchange student?
Glad you found it interesting! On the website there is a “postgraduate” tab, and there are three post grad accommodations. I don’t actually know if you can go to an undergraduate accommodation as a post graduate (I doubt it, but do check). Alternatively you can also check independent accommodations.

A quiet block in The Holt, Harry French or William Morris would be what I would recommend. Alternatively, going to an independent off-campus accommodation could work as well.

Hey there, the Holt and William Morris could work. Harry French as well, but it is a bit further away from where you have lectures.
My course is on the college campus but I would still like to stay in uni accommodation, which would you recommend for catered + ensuite and very involved with sport 🙌🏻
Hey man! There are quite a few options and it also depends on your accommodation-style preference. On the more modern side you can check out Elvyn Richards, but for your classic student accommodation you can check out any of Cayley, Rutherford or Faraday. Towers is also another option.

Hey, I would say that all of them could be tbh if you live with ppl you gel with. In terms of the nicest en-suites, i would say the Holt has one of the best.
ive just firmed loughborough for accounting with financial management. What self catered accommodations are close to the business school?
Butler court, Falk egg and Telford would be closest. The Holt not too bad either just a bit of a longer walk.

Yeah en-suite for a self-catered accommodation can be affordable, and in terms of your second question I’m not sure the exact numbers but from my experience no

Yep both are good accommodations. Claudia Parsons is the newer of the two if that’s something you’re into.

Yep you can but I’m not sure how much it is or if they would still allow it due to covid

Hi there, I don’t know the stats but from experience the Holt and Falk Egg are quite diverse.
Where do the sports students generally stay?
I don’t know of a particular accommodation that sports students stay in. I believe it’s the same as everyone else to be honest. I think that student athletes have additional accommodation options but I’m not entirely of the details surrounding that.

Hey there, I’m not too sure about that accommodation since it’s for post-graduates.
I'm doing Chem Engineering any accommodations that are cheap but also good including student life but also close to the chem engineering department
And are catered more pricey
Catered accommodations are more pricey. But, if you’re doing Chemical Engineering then the nearest accommodations will be Robert Bakewell, Elvyn Richards, David Collett, and any accommodation in the student village.
Is it easy to get pickup games in basketball in Loughborough
I’m not sure what a pick-up game is. There are basketball courts that you can use as a student tho.
What's the best accommodation for mathematics students?
Any accommodation on campus apart works for mathematics students to be fair in terms of distance. David Collet and Robert Bakewell would be the furthest ones away from where maths lectures are.

Hey, I’m not entirely sure where media students have their lectures. But an accommodation in the student village is quite central to everywhere.
