Underrated authors: Kwame Alexander
The Crossover was my favorite book I read last year. Don’t let the middle grade or the poetry scare you away. I don’t even like poetry and it wrecked me!!

One of my favorite books that I recently read was Sunny Disposition. It was a grumpy/romance book and it was so cute. Naomi and Finn was so cute together and Finn is perfect book boyfriend.

Fave reads of 2023: Yinka, where is your Huzband, Long Shot, Honey & Spice, Moth to a Flame
Omg I loved honey and spice so much!! Long shot is great too!
One of my favorite books I discovered last year was Dear Haiti, Love Alaine by Maika and Maritza Moulite. Alaine is not a likeable protagonist at first, but she grew on me to the point where this was one of my favorites of the year. I liked seeing her growth.
Love love love reading books where there is character growth!

Lots of good books added to my TBR. Daisy Jones and The Six is based off of the real life band Fleetwood Mac and the love story of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Read the book and watched the show. Five stars on both. If you have not read Opal and Neve it is worth the read also especially if you liked Daisy Jones and The Six.

I’m only allowing myself to purchase one book a month for 2024 for multiple reasons. I am debating my February purchase to be Archers Voice so I could experience my first reread. I read it like at beginning of my reading adult journey and think maybe I should experience it now that I’ve read more.
Self Made Boys, is a trans queer retelling of the Great Gatsby and I highly reccomend

That’s a good question haha!! I usually don’t go too long! Probably a few days at most if I’m really busy. I don’t watch tv much so that’s my little late night end of the day fun haha

I read Heartless and I felt the same way. And I didn't love the spicy scenes. And I normally don't mind spice but everyone loves this series. I'm scared to continue.

The Other Black Girl was my most disappointing read of 2022 and to this day it’s one of my most disappointing reads of every book I’ve read in the last five years.
I was so surprised by the ending! I definitely wish it had been different!
