For a true freshman to come into that environment down that many points and perform the way he did was incredible. Caleb is an instant legend.
The only stage, at the college level, that's bigger than the one he stepped on to is the national title game. Like you said, for a true freshman to step into that game, that environment and down so many points, it's amazing what he was able to do.
@@BoomerKeith1 do you think that Caleb has a chance at going for the Heisman this yr. And do you think we have a chance at winning a play off game and just getting to play in the NC this yr
I hope Coach Lincoln can keep Caleb from reading and letting his head swell the very thing that has hurt the Sooners over the years. After the trophy is in the show room then you can say WE did it.
@@loribrogdon7759 I don't think Caleb has a real shot at winning the Heisman only because he didn't really play in the first 5 games. I do think this team is capable of winning a playoff game and possibly the title. I think we saw what this team could be in the second half of the Texas game when both sides were playing so well. If we can play that way the rest of the year I think we'll definitely win a playoff game and depending on who we would face in the title game, I think we could win that too.
Teddy’s points about our defense’s lack of physicality are spot on. He’s also right about rotating too much on the DL. We lose a ton when Winfrey, IT, and Bonitto leave the field. We also need Redmond back desperately.
Drake Stoops has been the most clutch player on the team all year.
Like to see drake end up with cee dee lamb on the COWBOYS or in Arizona with kyler murry
He's such a good slot receiver! Great blocker for a wr, too.
He's going to play on Sundays.
I'm really getting close to pulling the trigger on a jersey. But will I look silly in his number, because I'm fat af?
@@tomminton5512 Slow down. lol
First time in my life watching an OU game that I told myself, I can't wait till Monday to see what Gabe and Teddy has to say about the game!!
It wasn't just the Talent that Caleb brought and the Game Sense he has....it Was the X Factor for me the Leadership that the Team Responded to, it was Evident on the Sideline and on the Field. In a Word, Stunning. I am not down on Spencer, but I am Up on Winning and Improving Every Week. Moving Forward the Best Decision for "The Team" will be the Best Decision You can Make.
Caleb brought those oft-mentioned intangibles into the game. After he took over, the O-Line blocked better, heck, even the defense stopped missing tackles. It seemed like the team WANTED Rattler to be replaced.
@@larrykile3190 They did because from Day 1, even on QB1 Netflix Series, he was arrogant and cocky. I've been an OU for for 21 years and I didn't want them to recruit him just based on that.
What it factor, football is football 🏈 the kid did not have an effective offensive line with a running game, Caleb Williams did. Go ahead and start him against Gary Patterson‘s boys and if fares well I am convinced he is the man.
I know there are different kinds of leaders, but Caleb brought that Baker Mayfield style. His clearly a vocal leader and it seems that this team responds very well to that. IT sure seems like it's Caleb's team.
@@BoomerKeith1 We will see at TCU all this crap does not fall on Spencer Rattler shoulders alone
Props to Brock Vandagriff for de-committing & clearing the way for Caleb. Funny how things work out.
I like how Caleb didn't lose interest during that, and even took an unofficial visit, which was not his first, while Brock was committed. Baller. Alpha. Pick a word.
@@Tijuanabill Perfectly stated & couldn’t agree more.
The laser Williams threw in between the two Texas defenders from the 13yard line while rolling out was his most impressive throw in my mind.
It was nice but the ball placement on the 52yd td to mims was ridiculous
Caleb pulled a Baker Mayfield move coming to OU knowing OU had a starter already....Confidence...
To be fair, everyone thought this would be Rattler's last college season though. Baker transferred in with a redshirt freshman holding the job, who nobody though would be an early exit to the NFL, to the degree people thought that about Rattler.
OU is in a sit one / play two paradigm for incoming 5 star QBs. But just so happens Caleb is getting to play 2.5 years. Good thing as we head to the SEC.
And now we get Caleb for almost 3 full seasons vs only 2. Which I think was a huge issue with Rattler. Because his only 1 full season was without fans in the stands.
If this was Rattler true 3rd season, I think you see a different player.
But we have what we have. I do hope Rattler stays for the rest of the season just in case.
Those really aren't comparable at all.
@@cryhwks Edit: What Christopher said. Sit one play 2 is the current model for LR QBs.
Love the intelligent discussion, unvarnished truth by two guys who really know the inside of the game and OU.
Am I crazy or did the whole team play with more effort when Caleb came in? I know it was half a game but I can see some Baker-like leadership in Caleb. Baker has always made the whole team play better college and NFL. I saw that Saturday with Caleb.
Absolutely!!
Nope you are right. They blossomed like a flower when he came in.
That's exactly right. They needed a true leader! CW13!!!!
The energy from the 1st and 2nd half are completely different games lol
I think more Jason White than Baker Mayfield. Jason White ran well before his knee injuries. Also, he threw downfield more than Nate Hybl. Nate Hybl is the Spencer Rattler. Dink and dunk passer. White's downfield throws opened up the running game.
PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION..... Teddy, why aren't you coaching? I'm being serious, who here thinks teddy needs to be on the ou defensive coaching staff???
I do
agree
He would no doubt be a positive addition.
I think he would be coaching if it is something that he enjoyed or was good at.
Agreed!
There is no way in hell Rattler makes those plays Williams made. The big explosive play had been missing all season, Caleb Williams makes big explosive plays.
Williams just tossed the ball up for grabs several times. They were jump balls. If rattler had done that people would have been screaming about it. Just understand that those are jump balls, not what is supposed to happen. Worked out here. But be prepared to see several interceptions on throws like that.
@@willcover6142 True that. I seriously don't think that Rattler would've even got to throw a jump ball, he probably would've been sacked or forced something closer and got intercepted. Look there will be growing pains with Williams, but there is no doubt this team got better with him in the game.
@@willcover6142 you say that but Rattler is not throwing either one of those deep balls to Mims. 2nd, they weren’t toss ups if the defender has his back to the ball you throw that every time knowing the WR is the only one able to make the play on the ball. Spencer has shown us his jump balls all season and its in triple coverage every. Single. Time. We were missing explosive plays all year and Rattler was obviously the problem.
@@willcover6142 I honestly can’t believe ur football IQ is so low that you don’t know the difference between a jump ball and a ball only the WR can make a play on. Just don’t comment next time.
@@jacksonmainard5303 I'm slow, I'll catch up lol.
Starting Williams props up the already thriving OU recruiting trail. UT had 90 recruits in the Building on Saturday. I’d love to know how many of those OU is in on and then chart what their final locals end up being.
Sitting Rattle will have some recruits thinking twice about coming and hurts recruiting in its own way. I still want Williams but it will cost him millions and some recruits would pay attention to that.
@@mith2946 I don’t see it hurting recruiting. People don’t like Rattler. He’s been a douche in most people’s eyes since the QB1 doc. Plus, most guys should know: Play better, and you won’t get benched.
If anything it should help recruiting knowing Riley won’t hesitate to give the next guy a shot if the starter is struggling.
I also would like to say I think Riley may have told Spencer to go back to the locker room after the game to keep the press away from him. Holly Rowe was mad she couldn't interview Caleb Williams I can't imagine what they would have been asking Spencer.
Great time to remind folks not to assume. We don’t know the whole story.
If the kid left the field after the game on his own, then that is disappointing, but I understand. We will probably never have a personal failure as big as Spencer did that day. It can't be easy to deal with that. The kid was watching all his dreams die, or become seriously damaged, in the heat of a football game. It's hard to ask him to celebrate the win the the same enthusiasm as the other players.
Agree that Holly Rowe should apologize to Lincoln and everyone. She had no call to be that way as we had a set standard that freshmen don't talk to the media. She needs to repent.
And Spencer did congratulate several guys in the immediate post-game mingle, including tapping-up Thompson, so it's not like he immediately ran off. When he left he was accompanied by one of our Sports Information personnel so I felt that he was told to head into the locker room. That was probably best with the interview vultures circling. And Holly is a b12 weekly contributor with Gabe on SiriusXM so she knows it is an OU policy that frosh don't do interviews. It has been that way since 1999 when Bob arrived.
I'm not a football expert, but I loved what I saw in the team when Caleb came into the game. OU ignited which I haven't seen this season. It seemed like the guys played harder and it opened the running game for Brooks to do his thing. It reminded me of days past when OU looked like a real contender to win the championship.
Most under rated play of the game was the pass to Stegner just before the winning TD. His yards after catch were crucial.
Couldn’t wait to view your analysis for the EPIC 2021OU/TEX SHOOTOUT. Not disappointed!
I always learn so much from you guys!!! and today’s cast met and exceeded the high bar you guys set week after week. you two generously share your in-depth perspective of the game, game stats, and per position assessments (the good, the bad, and the ugly.) Thanks!!!
Unquestionably, Caleb has size and maturity and talent (and, obviously, leadership/charisma with teammates). An amazing amount for a true, raw freshman. The only question has to be how much - and how fast - experience will add to and improve his performance.
Kennedy Brooks reminds me of Nick Chubb. someone who doesn’t look the part but then you watch them run with the football and man he’s a world beater when he wants to be.
continue to be impressed with you guys!!!!!
Freshman class looks amazing thus far. Downs, Stutsman, Bowman, Mario and Caleb the core for years to come....
Gabriel- imo you owe brooks am apology or three. You pretty much jumped on the gray bandwagon.. like a lot of others. I think there is enough evidence from his playing production to not even question his ability to excel. He's got that vision and patience and spatial relations sense that only a few runners have. That doesn't go away with a year off. It's a gift that keeps on giving. I was at the game. I saw yiu peacocking n strutting your fitness around lol. Not too shabby.
I just can't wait for Marcus Major to play hopefully this week against the Frogs.
Ikard and Lehman; what a pair!! I THOUGHT I knew OU football. You guys blow it up! Best analysis ever!! I seldom disagree with you guys. And when I do; I’m probably wrong! Love you guys.
I just don't see a way Riley can justify putting Spencer back in over Williams anymore. I really just don't see it.
It will take Caleb playing badly, but it might happen if that happens.
Maybe Riley can put Spencer in on the Kansas game lol
We still got to see what he does with TCU, yes he had a hell of a game but you are only so good as long as you can sustain your play over several games.
Been waiting for this one!
WE GOT SUPERMAN ON OUR TEAM BOOMER!!!
SOONER!!!!
Rattler is a great QB but Caleb fits the QB1 template completely. My only hesitation is that I remember Trevor having a great game too.
Maybe we should play them both 🤷🏼♂️
wow finally a non emotional response, it was ONE game and hes a true freshman, anyone thinking hes not gonna make any mistakes, interceptions, fumbles(Caleb has already fumbled the ball several times this year only difference is he recovered them) is greatly delusional.
Trevor is nowhere near the stratosphere of CW... Good guy, good athlete but no elite traits.
In regards to when you guys ranked the game al time for you guys.. as someone that’s only been on the fan side of things, I knew it would be special when they had the “Superman” videos in the week leading up to it! Teddy with the narration on the one got me hype days before!!! GREAT BREAKDOWN AND EVEN BETTER GAME!!!!
You guys are the best. You guys talk real ball and know what you’re talkin about. No BS. Herbstreit would do well to let you guys tutor him on spread football concepts.
Thanks for watching, Bill!
Been waiting for this! 🔥
Been looking forward to this podcast since the game ended! 🔥
One of the best environments I have ever been a part of…insane.
It was awesome.
Been waiting for this one HOT DAMN
You could feel CW13 energy all the way in Florida. Boomer Sooner! It's Caleb time in Norman!!!!! Best of luck to Rattler!
Kennedy Brooks touchdown won the game.
The 2 point conversion was not the winning play,
Yes we needed it and it helped the momentum.
Didn’t win or lose because of it.
16:45 - I'm 41. Been watching Sooner football closely since I was seven in 1987. We are ALWAYS going to be better with a quarterback who can run. No fans know that better than Sooners fans.
There is one play that OU had a 3rd and 1 on Texas's like 32 or so. Caleb pulled the ball on a play action went to the right and kept trying to get outside. He was eventually forced to spin back inside to barely get the first down, but I wish he would have just gone north and south to get it. The way Caleb gives himself more time by stepping up in the pocket and shuffling on so many plays is so good. That's something you don't see Rattler do. Really impressed with how the O-Line did this week. Looked like people were more confident and finding their blocks. Did you notice that our defense did a lot better when we rushed guys at Thompson? He didn't have time to throw, but as soon as we got that 7 point lead... we stopped. Allowed Worthy the time to get deep and beat our guys like they were doing earlier in the game. I think pressure on the QB is so important with our younger guys in our secondary.
EDIT: You talked about it, but I didn't realize we didn't have our main guys out there O_O
That second half OU team looked unbeatable. Caleb just needs more time on the field.
I’m damn sure not giving up on Rattler yet, thanks for saying what needed to be said.
Stoops...Willis...Stogner....Will Shine with Williams at Qb....
The really big difference between the two is one opens the field and the other doesn’t. The field opens up for the WRs with Caleb because he can run it and then we can get some yards. But rattler can’t run so they double the WR so 3 and out is more common.
One of the things I like about Caleb's game is when Texas tried collapsing the pocket he moved up in the pocket to throw instead of trying to run around tackle to the edge. Rattler has been doing that almost 100% of the time and either mostly gets sacked, or throws incomplete.
Love listening to a intelligent podcast with the breakdown of X and O of the game.
It is 110% Caleb's team. If Lincoln plays Rattler it will be the dumbest move of his career. You do what is best for the team and its what they want. Their body language shows they believe in Williams more than Rattler. Rattler in his 3rd year on campus had a QBR of 11.3 vs Texas... Caleb Williams hasnt played in a meaningful game since his junior year in highschool since his senior year got cancelled due to Covid and he had a QBR of 98.1 vs Texas after entering the game down by 21 pts. He led us back from down 21pts to our biggest rival in front of 100,000 people. He sent shockwaves through the stadium the second he stepped on the field. The fans want Williams, the team wants Williams, and the results say go with Williams. If you wanted to stick it out with Rattler you leave him in to complete the come back himself, the second Williams became the guy to lead us back from down 21 pts to Texas, he instantly became the leader of this football team. There is no debate. Caleb Williams is better at playing football than Spencer Rattler. Rattler is good, Williams is great. We move as a unit. Rattler was unhappy seeing Williams succeed, that's not the guy you want at the helm. The team reflects their QB attitude, if he is selfish then they will play as 11 talented individuals instead of a team. When Williams plays they become a team that moves as one. Remove the names on the back of the jersey and turn on the tape with the tv on mute. It will tell you all you need to know.
My concern is Lincoln will stay with Rattler one game to long, just to show his commitment to other QB recruits.
Does doing that accomplish what you think though? Recruits also like to see that if they are good when they come in, they can beat out the old starter. It can go both ways.
I think he would lose the locker room if CW13 is the new leader. You can just tell that the team wants Williams.
Lincoln doesn't need to waffle on this. Don't use Caleb as a relief pitcher when Rattler struggles, just make him the starter and move on. Convince Rattler to be a team guy the rest of the season, so he can move on. But injuries happen and Rattle may still be needed this season.
Rattler knows the plays , knows the reads and will make less mistakes than Caleb at this point. No one on these posts has any idea of how Caleb made his
reads. Riley and the staff know.
@@willcover6142 Did Spencer learn the reads sometime in the second half of this game because Caleb was making much quicker reads compared to Spencer throughout the season. I don't really understand what you are talking about.
If Mr Rattler learns from this experience and realized that's what it is, a learning experience, he will be that more prepared in the future. Jalen Hurts...omg, that man lost his starting job, leaned from it and boom!!! Look at him now!!!! What the crowd or media or anyone else doesn't matter, what matters is turning a negative into a positive.
What a game! OMG!
On the ABC broadcast Herbstreit said that the interception Rattler threw was a mistake on Stogner's part. Clearly, one of them had the wrong play. I thought Riley said, in the post game press conference, that Stogner ran the wrong route. But, if it was Rattler then that is clearly a problem. I've been 100% supportive of Spencer from game one up until the moment he fumbled. He didn't look comfortable from the start of the game but seemed settled in enough to be somewhat effective...until the fumble. That was the first time I felt like he needed to be benched, but I was a bit surprised Riley made that call. I guess I shouldn't have been, given what happened last year.
Anyway, the team CLEARLY perked up when Caleb came into the game (and it even felt like the defense played with more intensity). I don't envy Riley's position right now, but I just don't see how he can sit Caleb after that performance.
Rattler is already making a lot of mistakes. But Caleb gave OU big explosive plays that OU have been lacking. He adds a different dynamic that other teams have to prepare for. He trusts his guy's to make the play one on one.
I wish Rattler would have worked out. But Caleb is the guy.
And the biggest thing OU gets Caleb starting games for basically 3 seasons.
but man! we needed that spark that williams brought to the offense badly!
Can someone please tell me where I can find and download the sooner pregame show that is done before each game I have found the game and the post game podcast but not the pregame
Best gm I’ve seen in red river history teddy And gabe
I’m going to the game Saturday and was wondering how early should I get to there to get there without having to rush??? Please and thankyou.
Did we have any recruits at that game??
Great show as always boys!
BOOMER SOONER!!
Most the Texas's recruits were our targets too.lol
Texas was the host team so technically no, but you can bet many of the guys there are also on our board haha.
Gabe on offense and Teddy on defense ... doesn’t get any better than that
Question... is there anywhere that I can go to to listen to Saturdays broadcast of the game?
Great for the recruits to hear our fan base in the stadium. The support and enthusiasm coming from the south end zone must have turned a few heads 😂
I had someone in a live chat tell me that they were trying to save Bijans legs for later in the season. 😂😂😂😂😂
Biggest game of the year you are saving his legs? Gimme a break.
He got shutdown that whole second half other than that TD we gave up late OU's defense really stepped up.
@@TCsInspiredVlogs sure we did well stuffing him. It wasn't 100% tho. But that dude is a threat every time you hand him the ball and you needed to sit on a lead. I woulda fed him and fed him. They also didn't run Casey a lot. There was a lot of stuff they coulda done to us that they didn't. That was on Sark.
2000 Nebraska, 2003 OSU and 2008 Texas Tech are my top 3 games.
People talk a lot of mess. Rattler is being told for the first time in his life that he’s not the most special person ever. I can’t imagine how he feels. I’m sure embarrassed, disappointed, and pissed. I don’t care for his personality, but I have kids his age, so it’s hard for me not to look at him as someone’s child.
We can root for both of these guys. You may have Spencer pegged correctly, I don't know. If you're right, then this is a tough time in his life that he may one day thank GOD for. Wouldn't it be something to see both of them playing on Sundays?😎
Love the pod guys my only question is - and I’m sincerely asking - how do you know the Stogner route wasn’t on Stogner? How are you so sure it was 100% on Rattler and not on Stog?
I really appreciate both of your takes on Rattler's response after the game. Really insightful and some great points. I thought the booing a couple weeks ago was classless, but I supported putting Williams into the game. And I think he knew he had just gotten fired. That's a way of saying it that most of us can really identify with. Thank you for taking the time to defend his actions, which I'll admit I thought was pretty sh7tty at first glance.
Million dollar question how come Teddy Lehman does not have any OU stuff in his background?
stop herding chickens and CAP ‘em!! lol. Tell ‘em, Teddy!
Two sweet push-offs by Mims. A receiver getting separation by any means necessary. We need more of that.
Oh man they sure were sweet. Way to position the defender out of the way without pass interfering.
Hope Ou gets to get Washington,Redmond,Coe, and yell 100% back as well as Wease on the offensive end
Quick question do we play osu or tu twice.
I like what I see from Gray too. He's a tad late late on his jukes.... I think that's why he's not making those guys miss. But man....he's got some moves.
I trust Riley’s decision. He sees them everyday. He knows their capabilities and each ones knowledge of the offense. I think what Rattler’s problem is mental. It’s in his head. He escaped pressure really good last year. He didn’t all of the sudden lose his quick release and crazy arm skills. He got served the largest piece of humble pie Saturday. Humble pie washed down with humility has cured many of mental blocks.
He will get booed when/if Rattler gets in there. Those boo’s go away with the first touchdown.
2000 Nebraska was comparable. I was at that game. Teddy said it was different because OU was up. Recall, OU did fall behind 14-0 early on before roaring back. The crowd was insanely loud then too but it was a full stadium of 97% OU fans.
Rattler needs to stay sharp. You never know when an injury will strike. Ex. Jamelle vs Ok St and Belldozer coming in against OK St
I guess Caleb will become a fan of the 2pt conversion
Where was Rattler during postgame celebration? In all the photos I’ve seen he’s nowhere to be found, or is it just me?
Someone in the stands posted a picture of Rattler walking to the locker room while the rest of the team was celebrating.
He's supposed to be a captain and he instead decided to be selfish and left the field. That demonstrates why his teammates don't play as hard for him as they did when Caleb came in. Rattler is not a leader.
Haha gotta make Teddy do some reads! I’ve been thinking since the beginning, “I wonder what Teddy had to swing In order to bow out of the advert reads?”
I thought ALL defensive players live to CAP off plays. I guess not. I played LB in high school and college and anytime I could stick someone I would. The same goes for my teammates. It's what you do on defense regardless of the score or your team record. I think I would have been ejected for targeting every game back in the day (1970s). You hit as hard as you can. We didn't worry where we hit the opponents lol. We just made sure they knew it when we got there. Good lord there is no better feeling than laying a full speed tackle on someone.
Caleb Williams is a f****** BEAST!!!
What a game! I was at work here in Orlando airport and I was screaming so loud at end of game! Boomer!
Wow, Teddy, bringing it today!! Great! Kennedy 'Bo Jackson' Brooks!
HERDING CHICKENS!!!!!! YES to all of this content!!!!!
Its Jamelle Holliway's story 35 years later. Except we dont have Troy Aikman and wound up winning the game. Its obvious who you stick with.
ALOT OF STARS HAVE BEEN BORN IN THE TEXAS GAME
"Anything else u wanna talk about before we move to the defense?"...🙋🏾♂️ How about the day that Mr. Marvin Mims had?....that kid is clutch!!!!
I agree with Teddy, better than beating Bama in Sugar, better than beating Texas 64 - 13, best crowd ever and best win ever! Felt good about the change at QB and I do like Spencer, but Riley made the right call. Players all perked up and played better. Felt it was best 'team' effort of the year. CW and CK were so good, KB had his best game ever played, crazy football. Riley coached his best game of the year maybe. Texas played very good FIRST HALF, only to lose the 2nd and the game to a better team in the 2nd half. Grinch was good too. I love this team, always have. Boomer!
Speaking of special teams .... We never try to run kickoffs back anymore? Fair catch on everything. We have some really shifty guys, so I figured they would give them the chance to break one free for a bigger gain. When we are fair catching on the 7ish yard line.. I can't remember them all, but man I hope we try to run one back one of these days.
Cool! :)
I dont think it was just that 1 int or fumble from Rattler that got him benched, but more of a build up towards this. Rattler is fortunate thus far to not have 4-6 more interceptions than he has now. Once Williams came in, the running game clicked, and that opened up some of the passing game. I was so happy to see us rush for over 300.
What's the difference between zone and gap scheme OL play?
Gap is like a fastball coming at u. Zone is like a cutter. That’s the best way to describe it honestly. One has more moving parts then the other.
@@mattbingham9979 thanks, Matt.
I’d like to know if the defense can improve on the backend? looks rough all year. Do you think Spencer is just having a sophomore slump year?
Getting Woodi Washington back will help.
@@Tijuanabill I forget bout that. But how much will that help and when is he coming back? What bout trouble? How long is he out for?
@@mattbingham9979 I'm not sure about Woodi, but there was talk he was a maybe for RR. Trouble re-aggravated a hammy. That is really, really bad news. Those can go south fast and cause a guy to miss a lot more than a couple games. Not to sound cliché, but I really think Caleb Williams is the answer for the defense. If we can get back to putting up big numbers, then our D can get by with some turnovers and stops here and there, without the pressure of needing every stop, like in those ball control games we were getting in to with Spencer.
We need another Nic Harris or Roy Williams at safety.. We've been shit at that position for years.
Wonder how Coach Stoops would've handled Rattler's obvious lack of team first attitude.
I LOVE YOUR SHOW! I don’t know why, but your sound drops out every 10 words or so. I have listened on CZcams and on Spotify and it’s the same. It’s happening on your end. Your show is too good to be hurt by technical issues. Thanks!
I'm not having your audio tech issues. Better check your your end.
Nope. It's fine the whole way through.
Nahh, the fans can't affect the game. We aren't on the field ;) Snark aside, I think it is massive the support poured out for this game. I also think holding them accountable is the main reason why this was so impactful. The coaches, at least publicly, have been pouring out the support throughout the season. Feels like it brought up some tough questions and Saturday we got to see the team's response.
As for the fox on the field, Where did it come from? Where did it go? I feel like I am at Eskimo Jo's.
I’m sorry but when you went off on imagine getting fired infront of everyone it just kept getting funnier the longer you kept going with it😭😭😭 I know that wasn’t the goal but holy shit that was hilarious 1:12:12
Spencer is making NIL grip, has a shot at a conference and NC still regardless if he's the starter. Plus NFL scouts want to see how he reacts to adversity. And if Caleb starts rest of the season Spencer got replaced by a possible future 1st round pick in the NFL draft. No shame there.
It was ONE game and hes a true freshman, anyone thinking hes not gonna make any mistakes, interceptions, fumbles(Caleb has already fumbled the ball several times this year only difference is he recovered them) is greatly delusional....also Calebs one game trumps Rattlers 14 games that hes won? This is a clear example of when emotional thinking overrides rational thinking...its the same when Gray came in everyone was emotional thinking he was going to be the star back versus the tried and true Brooks years of work.
You aren't thinking. What has Spencer done this yr? Barely winning games for us. He throws to many IT, and he did get benched twice against tex ass. Also, Caleb hasn't even played football since 2019and he came out doing what he did. This is Caleb's team period.
@@loribrogdon7759 Lol right hes out there playing all by himself, let me tell you again because you missed it in the comment before....ONE GAME...slow your emotional roll
Can we get teddy on the defensive staff or maybe he can speak to the team
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Caleb starts the next game, but will be subject to the same hook if he turns the ball over. We could see some of both of these guys, as the season plays out.
Aside from the turnovers, and the lack of leadership displayed by Spencer, the offense just wasn't moving down the field like it needed to. I think the fact that Caleb is a true duel-threat makes our offense more dynamic, especially running the ball. The defenses can't quite key in on what we're about to do. Caleb gives us a better chance to win, and that should be enough for him to be the starter, or, why not utilize both in a two-quarterback system?
Guys we need to hold on and let’s see how Caleb does from start to finish
That's what I'm saying I wanna see what he does when a team is game planning for him. He has tape on him now someone like Gary Patterson will have something ready for Caleb I wanna see how it goes.
Caleb's destined for a greatness no worries y'all BOOMER
Won't know what it looks like until we see it happen.
Caleb looked great, and I don't want to take anything away from his performance. But has anyone ever seen a QB leave his feet so often, when throwing the ball? Did he even have a single pass over 10 yards, where both feet where on the ground? I don't think I have ever seen a QB throw that way on a regular basis.
Patty Mahomes
Kyler M does it all the time.
