    Darth Bane understood the Force better than any Jedi to date. He was a Sith that understood strength didn’t necessarily come in greater numbers, but rather a concentrated few strong in the Force.

    Bane believed that the Dark Side was like venom: The more it's spread out, the weaker it is, and conversely, the less people using it, the more potent it is.

    They're 2 sides of the same coin. To keep the coin on its edge is the goal. I can't remember the actual comic, but if the balance between the light and dark wasn't kept, it caused a force storm that disrupted the planet. Where either a light or dark force user had to leave the planet or die.

    I like what you've said all here, I do have a minor disagreement with how the force is from how you have proposed it. The force is 2 sides of the same coin, but there is a barrier between both sides. I think the dark and light side function differently in the ideas that the light side is a battery that is constantly being charged and siphoned at the same time and keeps growing as more people become jedi. However, the light side is an infinitely sinking well that is constantly being drank from.

      The light feeds off love and life and the dark death and suffering. The force is measured by the current output available at that moment. Think of the light as solar power and the dark oil. You can use both, but the resource and it's abundance is different.

    It could be that the dark side itself is actually natural, and that the lightside is not actually a source of energy, but rather is a philosophy of self control.
    Bendu also fits into this by balancing between self control and "Corruptive" power.
    This would imply that just the Dark side is a source of energy/power while the light side is not tapping into a source of power, but rather uses the spare energy around them.
    Best metaphor could be that the Dark Side is nuclear energy while the Light Side is wind/solar power.

    The Force is an energy that is shared by all Living things, that statement is regauged as true - though all forms of energy have frequencies & polarity charges to.
    As the frequency & power of Ionic charges can affect Humen's emotions/mood, though Human's can do so in reverse. Case of was a side issues in studying Quark counts with the atom smasher for the Univ. of NM - baseline was with the machine without any human observers while the test was being ran.
    With observers present that believed the test results would be the same, they were within the margin of error for the study with the mechanical counter.
    Ones that were excited, wanted to help & glad to be there - the count was higher than, sometimes within & also outside the margin of error. On the opposite end with undergraduates that believed it a waste of time - a decreased count that sometimes dipped outside the error margin.

    I don’t know if The Force is naturally light or dark. I think maybe sides of the Force exist because of the alignments of sentient beings that are attuned to it. It’s possible that The Force itself IS infinite. Perhaps an extradimensional energy field of sorts. I think maybe it breaks down into different kinds of energy when being utilized by force sensitive people. Perhaps it’s the midi chlorians that are really the issue here. It’s the Force sensitivity that allows one to more efficiently use the Force. So limiting the amount of people using the WiFi so to speak, is what allows for better reception. For those seeking power as a means to dominate, it makes sense that one would want to strengthen their force abilities. To play devil’s advocate, I do think that the prequels were meant to show that the Jedi had become stagnant and hypocritical to an extent. That may be because they had been placed in a position of compliance with the Republic for so long, while the Sith didn’t have a problem adapting. To Darth Bane, selfishness was a virtue because power like that of the Force mandated the rule of the strong. So the Rule of Two seems to be the logical conclusion of the proverbial rule of the jungle. Maybe there’s some truth to that in more ways than one. The Jedi may value peace as a virtue, but as you pointed out, even THEY paradoxically seek to heighten their skills to enforce it. Like I think George Lucas would attest to, any victory for the sake of victory becomes stale. I would argue that one can only really BE at peace when they acknowledge that struggle exists (otherwise they’re a ticking time bomb). The Sith view strikes me as pragmatic in a Machiavellian way. The Force, be it light or dark, is useful in so far as it furthers the infrastructure of society through the acquisition of power. They just usually lean more towards the dark because the Republic’s definition of “Good” doesn’t benefit everyone. Sure the Sith we encounter are obviously corrupt, but there’s argument to be made that the Republic was as well. When it comes to a cohesive plan to unite the galaxy under one banner, Bane was (at the very least) successful.😁

    Sorry to dissagree with you but the living force feeds into the cosmic force. Living creatures create the Living Force and when they die it powers the Cosmic Force. Therefore the Cosmic Force (which is what most of the Jedi use) is infinite because as people die it becomes more powerful and grows. Qui Gon Jin would tell Obi-Wan to be mindful of the Living Force because it isn't something young Jedi are used to. After all, you can't use it like the Cosmic Force (AKA push things around) the living force is like an energy field that you can use to feel all around you(AKA sensing danger or anger) like when Yoda knew Anakin was in pain during Attack of the Clones. The Jedi's ability to sense things around them (Living Force) is what was being diminished because Palpatine was clouding them with the dark side, he says so in Clone Wars when he and the other Jedi are banishing Ahsoka. Ahsoka tells them her senses are clouded and Yoda says that many things were being clouded by the dark side at that time (S5 Ep20 4min 11 sec).
    In conclusion the Living Force is something that can be detected and the Cosmic Force is infinite as long as things keep dying. And considering how many things have died throughout the history of Star Wars it might as well be infinite.
    And just for fun, Midiclorians don't determine your strength with the force just your natural aptitude with it (you talent, which without practice means nothing). Which explains why obiwan beat Anakin even though his M count was so much lower in comparison.

  • @tasatort9778
    @tasatort9778 Před 10 měsíci +4

    Darth Bane was only partially right. Bane theorized that the Dark and Light sides were separate and that by concentrating "Dark Side" power in only two beings, those two beings would have more power to draw on; in reality the raw power of an individual is determined by their midichlorin count. He knew that one of the downfalls of the early sith was taking more than one apprentice at a time (the early sith would take several force sensitives and train them until they saw which one was most powerful and then discard the rest), the apprentices would "gang up" on the master and kill him/her then declare themselves Sith Lords, thus weakening the sith overall by having a group of lesser skilled individuals joining the ranks. He also realized that having a group of Sith Lords would only have each one competing with the others for dominance.
    So with the Rule of Two:
    -He eliminated having a group of apprentices to challenge the master en masse.
    -Only being able to choose a single apprentice would force the master to pick someone with great force sensitivity.
    -Would allow the master to concentrate all their knowledge into one individual, and to hone that individual's skills to their peak (which is why a Sith apprentice can outclass a Jedi Knight and often a Jedi Master, the Sith was given more in depth and rigorous training).
    -Having only two would ensure they would work together instead of against each other in attempts to assert dominance.
    -By changing their tactics and moving "underground", working from the shadows, quietly building alliances: they would be able to erode the Jedi power base, and subvert the Republic from within. This change of tactics caught the Jedi by surprise, they were totally unprepared as they were expecting the same old frontal assault that the Sith had used for centuries.

      Except in the end it was a sith lord, a sith master, many apprentices, and the inquisitorious. That's more than two. The rule was flawed from the beginning for way to many reasons, and is why the jedi order was able to be rebuilt unchecked.

    I dont think there is any sith lord that shares your views of the force. According to Darth Revan and Darth Bane it is about the purity of the darksider not the quantity. The rule of two cut off all hope of teaming up other sith to kill one's superiors. Under Bane's rule you must find strength only in the darkside. That made you stronger.

  • @lukei.1227
    @lukei.1227 Před 5 měsíci

    The dark side of the force is a perversion of the force.
    Anakin and Luke were so powerful because both followed the will of the force. For instance, why do you think Anakin was cut down and had so much of his potential taken when he became darth vader? Luke and Anakin defeated the emperor by following the will of the force.
    Darth Bane seems right about the diminishing returns of an entire order of sith perverting the force.
