I like the clip content plan, great job guys!👍😎
Awesome, triple screens are on my list... currently have the 31.5" curved from AOC with 1440p I think it work as well for triple... but need to have the space first haha ^^
OK I found this video very helpful, I wasn't paying close enough attention to the 34"-35" never seeing one in person I had no idea that there was a height difference, I googled it and sure enough there's about a 2" height difference. "32 inch 16x9 display vs 34 inch 21x9 display" I went ahead and optioned for 3 LG 43UN700T-B Monitors in hopes I made a good choice.
Thanks
My first (& 0nly) rig build was inspired by you Will ...& I used three 43 inch displays. I've little experience racing on a single monitor ...& would not want to part with the triples.
VR is next for me.
They must be so large, so that you can place it on the balcony and sit in the back of the virtual car in your living room 🤣
Kudos to your setup, friend. It's very nice.
For low-budget-peeps, I guess, 3x 27 " is the sweet spot, at least, if you can place your wheel directly in front of one's 27"ers, meaning that the back stuff of the wheel is literally under and behind the central monitor.
I've been running a 75hz 27" 1920x1080 for years, so almost anything would be an improvement. I was able to get three 165hz 27" 1920x1080 screens for about the cost of 1 34" 1440p ultra wide. Needless to say, I missed out on getting a 21:9 until Nvidia Surround showed me I'm now running 48:9. LOL.
Nice ❤❤❤
I've used VR, triples (wide-ultrawide-wide), and now use a 50" 4k tv. Even as a single screen this is by far my favorite setup so far, that extra vertical view is great. And they're cheap these days, I paid $300 for mine (US). My plan is to take my two 27" monitors and put them vertical on the sides of the 50" to expand it out more, then I think I'm good.
Nice. Do post a pic of that setup here. It's an interesting idea
Hi, Do you finish your 27x2 + 50 setup? Do you use Nvidia or AMD card? I have nvidia card. I just tried similar idea with vertical 22" and horizontal 27", but nvidia surround couldn't do that. If you have good result, please share how you do it. Thank you and happy gaming.
@@yanshaoumo6076 Nvidia. I don't use Surround, it's very limited in what it can do, and really doesn't work unless all your screens are the same aspect ratio and orientation.
Can you say why you ditched VR in favor of a TV?
@@GTI8855 Comfort and image clarity. I have nothing against VR really, I just got tired of wearing it.
I can’t get enough of your videos as I assemble my first rig. Years later with these new 57” ultra wides and such I’d love to know your opinion or preference:
- one ultra wide large monitor 49-57
- 3 curved 32s
- 3 straight 32s
Something else? That’s my last decision to make

With your experience, do you prefer a curved or flat triple screen (immersion, distortion, settings)? For the moment, my choice is oriented towards a triple 32" flat screen (LG 32GP850: GSYNC, IPS, the best quality/price ratio currently, it seems to me?). I have been following you for 1 year, and I appreciate your work , it's remarkable. Thanks you!
Did you get the LG's ? I'm interested in trying them as well.
@@MikaTarkela Yes triple flat screen LG 32GP850. And after compare them with a friend's curved triple screens 27" I definitely prefer my flat screens. Also 27" is a little frustrating, 32" is super for immersion.
Thanks for the advice and Vids. Amazing setup you have. Looks so real, vertical immersion, the sides.. having so much trouble trying to choose triple 32 VAs curved. I feel I want curved, but they all seem to have problems, something wrong. They say the large size are more of a challenge for manufacturers using VA tech which most curved are. Anything you recommend? And if not I might go 32 flats, IPS. What do you recommend? Please advise. I want solid monitors that I won't regret buying, returning and wasting time. Also don't wanna spend a fortune on OLEDs. Please advise
Can you do a video on getting the perfect fov with triple monitors
with prices included for europe 32(300 each) is the best for 144Hz screens. when 100hz is enough , you can get 55 inch tv's for double the price. 27 inch is not that much cheaper than 32. and anything between 32 and 55 is always more expensive than the cheapest 55inch 100hz tv . there will be a few options but it's very limited
the 32inch setup is 1440p and the tv setup would be 2160p but some models only accept 100hz @ 1440p . i always check if rtings has a review. they have extreme detailed reviews . one thing being a list of all accepted input signal resolutions and hz
Is a Four-Monitor Array doable?
I fly open cockpit WW1 aviation sims and I've seen three-monitor setups (like yours) where a center monitor shows the view ahead and a second and third monitors angled back on the sides show the view to either side; blended to merge when you rotate your head to look around with a head tracker like Track IR.
I've also seen four-monitor setups with one at top center, but only used to display the desktop; not the sim.
QUESTIONS Is it possible to assign a fourth monitor (above the center monitor and angled back) to show an overhead view of the sky in an "open cockpit" aviation simulation?
Will the "wrap around" setting for three multiple monitors also see a fourth one (atop center) as "extra real estate" on which the range of the game image can be extended?
I'd like to build an array that will do that. Any info?
I’m saving up money so I can replace my desk monitors with better ones.
I currently have two identical 27 inch 1440p monitors may buy a third one if available for a good prices then I can add those to my sim setup.
However this will take a while since I just bought the cockpit for my setup and first my 10 year old cpu will need a update sooner or later.
Hello, at what angle the monitors are placed? i want to buy a 3 monitor support, but only goes to 45.
Have you tried making your side screens curved? Would that fix the common “pointiness” complaint?
What about the mount that holds the screens? I'm struggling finding a decent one.
Just got my triple 32" screens set up... I feel like i should have gone larger for more of a 1:1 scale look. I feel like the vertical FOV is too narrow. 43" might be a better option for me.
there is no GSYNC 43" sadly IPS....
@@kolysion164 You dont need Gsync and IPS is nice but again not needed. You can 43in 4k monitors 120hz
@@Simlife101 GYSNC IS THE LIFE, NO GSYNC NO MONITOR, and NO VA, ONLY IPS, maybe the FO48U but too expensive
@@kolysion164 Gsync isn't life. Lol. It also depends on the monitor and the VRR range the monitor provides while using Gsync. There are alot of Gsync monitors out there with such horrible VRR ( Variable Refresh Rate [ the technology Gsync and Freesync use ] ) ranges that it makes it pointless to use Gsync on those displays even if they support it.
Remember, Gsync only works while you stay inside the monitor's VRR range. A lot of times this is something like 48 to 60 or something even tighter than that. This means than anytime your game's framerate EXCEED that range, you aren't even using the technology, and a normal Vsync is applied instead. The same goes for when you drop below the minimum threshold, once you go below 48, vsync engages and causes frames to persist for longer than normal. This means if you aren't playing with a proper frame limiter such as the one you can use in Riva Statistics Tuner or the internal Nvidia one, which in my opinion isn't as good as Riva's, then there is no point in even having such a display. Most play without a limiter or vsync enabled, thus they aren't even using the Gsync technologies. Lol. Most in game limiters are TOTAL garbage and I would never recommend them unless the developer did a proper job implementing them, which most never do. Just use Riva's.
@@ronstranscriber1192 NO GSYNC NO BUY
Nice vid. But is it better with one 34 ultrawide and two 27 inches monitors on the sides?
Great video mate. So what screens do you recommend as 32”, 1440p with good contrast, good colors and less motion blur?
s3220dgf
That’s what I’m working on
I have a single Samsung c32hg70 for the Series X and as far as i know it's the best one out there for Xbox and would get two more if i had a pc and a room for it.
pg329q, 32" 1440p gsync IPS 175hz, THE BEST
What are the button boxes you have in this rig?
Curved or flat screen for triple 32? If curved what about the Samsung screens with 1000R? Would that be to much?
I have the same question
So I was running 2 x screens (better than it sounds , main screen in front and other one to the side to give me the full dash and mirrors view ) and was getting a 3rd but yesterday I finally decided I went and bought a 75 Inch tv screen , (while FoV is not an issue on PC as its changeable in most games and My wheel is about 70cn from the screen about 4 inches up so it lines up perfect in game (also tried triple screen mode anyway and it works as the lines dividing the 3 are not visible! , But on XBOX ACC you can't adjust FoV anymore with keyboard , But im 100 percent happy with one large screen as it was the cheaper option at $1100 compared to 3x $450 plus the 3 single stands (3x $150) for the screens as they were too large for a stand that holds 3 , don't let people say one large screen doesnt give you the right FoV they're just talking rubbish
I have a 24.5 would that be ok because I have one monitor but ima but 2 more for the triple but I want the same size so would 24.5 be good enough
What stand are u using?
I already have a single 32 inch curved monitor setup, would it be weird to have triple curved 32s?
No, that would be fantastic!
@Leitz i have triple 32in asus xg32vc 170hz 1440p amd tbh flst screens you get a better image sat in the rig but by no means is it bad lol
Is 32 inch 1080p good enough? And how far should i set them from me.
Hi can someone help trying to find out what's best flat or covered triple monitor for sim racing thanks
Don't get curved. Flat is better for triple screens. Anyone that went curved will soon tell you the same. Curved will drive you nuts trying to match them up and will never get them where you'd want them. Most important thing to consider is your planned resolution vs your video card. Don't buy 4k monitors if you don't have a 3090 or 4090. Yes, 4080 would slightly work, but slightly. Ultra wide resolutions (triple screens) means you want the card with the 24gb ram. Triple screens is what those cards shine on and having tested the lessers I know how much of a difference it is. Now that leaves floor space. This gent from Boosted Media clips has another video where he talks about the disadvantages of his setup, and basically my gripe with trying to use large TV's as monitors. If you want a true 1:1 ration, or get it close to feel real, your 55" TV's would have to be a few FEET away from your rig. Once you move a 55" 3 or 4 feet away from your rig you only need to shift your line of sight up a couple of inches before you're looking above your screens. My personal favorite is no less than 27, no more than 32. Again, this too depends on space in your area. Three 55" TV's away enough for you to use them in a sim rig (Flight or racing) would mean you would want about 12' of space for width to allow you to still squeeze by. They'd be far away from you and not as good as a computer monitor built for gaming right in front of you. I have three 28" Samsung Odyssey's. They are 4k. I have a 3090TI and I went this route because I already had one monitor. Had I had it to do over again, I would buy three 2k monitors. Gaming at 4k on triple screens will be common a few years from now, but it's not common or practical now. My rig is a beast, and I knew this going forward, but in most games, I lower my resolution to 1440P for better FPS. 1440P on a 4k monitor will not look as good as it would on a native 1440p monitor. Having smaller monitors closer to you that have a fast response time will look better than three 65" screens a few feet away. Plus your rig's footprint won't be 15', ir will only be 4' or 5'. Hope that helps.
I’ve been gaming on a LG 55 CX for awhile now, I’m going triple 55”s can’t see myself going smaller.
That's cool but what about triple 49" ultrawide monitors?
You’d be able to see your subconscious
Hello, please I need your help with my triple screen.
I have an Nvidia Rtx 3080Ti graphics card so 1 HDMI and 3 displayports.
I am above all a gamer so I plan to put HDMI on my 65 inch TV for my action adventure games.
Then my 3 displayports on my triple screen for SimRacing.
My question is if I can have a two main screen (my 65 screen for my action adventure games and the middle screen of my triple screen as a second main screen)
I took a long time in order to explain it better, please help me if there is a solution for me.
Sincerely
I measured my windshield from the top straight down and it’s no where near 32” I’m going with 24s, sitting in my car rn and 24” seems more than enough
You want to see above the windshield though. So you want more than 24. You get better immersion seeing a bit off roof
Thought u were in a real fkn car at first even tho i knew what i searched up LOL
whats your cpu and gpu
what screens are you using in your video?
3 x 65 inch oled
27inch |34inch ultrawide| 27inch
Just for screen size only , i would go for
34inch ultrawide in the middle and 27inch on both sides is what i will go for
Not all games support it though. i had this issue
I have the exact same size monitors a Alienware OLED 34in Ultrawide in the middle and 1440p 27inch, IPS displays one of each side. What do you use for triple_monitor monitor gaming on the three. Nvidia surround for this setup is horrendous.
Would an RTX2070 be enough for triple 32 monitor in medium / low quality or impossible to work at decent fps?
Depends on your resolution, 1440p is a definite no, not even a 3070 can properly manage that, but I'm not sure about 1080p. However, I'd personally stay away from 1080p 32 inch displays, just because of the bad pixel density.
Yes, but it depends on the rest of your computer specs. Problem being, large screens with low graphics are bad. Better go with 27" 1080p and high graphics setings. But iracing for example, you can play tripple 1440p at medium and less AA as it's a better screen res than 1080p.
Yes, absolutely. ACC might be run at a bit lower settings. With upscaling, there's not really a problem.
I run AC and ACC at a stable 60+ @ 1080-1440p 3x 27" (upscaling) with GTX 1080 (which is a bit faster than yours)
@@socrateresorts1963 He should rather stick to 27" 1440p for future reasons. 1080p doesn't look bad on 1440p screens compared to native 1080p screens, at least to me.
*TL;DW*
The only takeaway is that 27 or 32" in triple monitor config are better than ultrawides due to their increased vertical field of view
A large 21:9 monitor coupled with TrackIR (or alternatives) is also a nice setup. Yet, the sensation of speed is always better with triples. Or maybe, the single 21:9 monitor is so huge that you can use a higher fov getting more crasp of the objects rushing past you.
32" is a great size but @1440p it's too pixelated for racing at close distance. A 27" is so much sharper, and 32" with 4K + high refresh rate is way too expensive and almost impossible to drive with a decent PC
It really int though it looks fantastic at 1440. I have fooled more than one freind into thinking it was 4K. Trading 4K for better frame rates is far more important and the smart move.
@@lowproscrumbum getting RID of frames? Unless you have them to spare I hope not smh

Do you recommend a triple monitor over the meta quest 3 ?
depends on how quick and convenient it is to get going with the vr. Ive used the quest 2 and its a bit of a process, and youre switching between headset on, and back to desktop, etc, it can be a bit bothersome.
but VR is good for training new drivers, if you ask me

Agreed 32" is sweet. They really aren't small in that layout, but is also amazing for work if you're eg a software engineer for 80% of their use.
Would love 2160ps mainly for work but will just have to do with 1440ps for cost for the time being.
Alright so, 32' is the sweet spot. Now; Flat or Curved?😂
My biggest issue with the 32" screens are that no one makes a 32" bezel hiding kit. You'd have to make it yourself.. and I really don't have the interest in that.
Its just cutting the lcd dispersion film from a old tv

Mate I have ryzen 5600x and rtx 3070. Could you please give me the recipe 😅 which setup should I go with?
-triple 1440p 32” VA curved
-triple 1080p 32” VA curved
-triple 1440p 32” Ips Flat
- or 27” versions?
1080p on a 32” screen will be quite low resolution. Personally I would only do 1080p on = 32”.
I think it also depends what screens you are getting, for example a good VA might be better than a bad IPS and vice versa.
It also depends what else you do with the monitors, eg. Do you also use them for work, or only gaming?
Then you have to consider things like trade offs in colour accuracy vs contrast ratio and response times, etc. and decide what the most important for you personally.
Your budget and screen pricing and availability in your area is also likely a factor.
I’ve seen some reviewers saying 27” is better and some saying 32” is better, so I think it comes down to personal preference and your rig and available space.
@@pieflies so what would your choice be, flat or curved? Btw thanks for the reply
@@oguzdervisoglu2259 I'm not sure really what is best. I've seen mixed reports on that too. To be honest I can't imagine it matters all that much, especially at smaller screen sizes. I am currently deciding what my setup will be and I think for now it will be 3x 27" 1440p, mainly because I already have two of them and I would rather have them all the same and I don't want to buy 3 new monitors. Although I could potentially use a curved screen in the centre and my two flat screens on the sides.
If your sim racers can use Upscaling, everything would be fine fps-wise, yet, I would really refrain from 1080p 32", 1440p is the absolute minimum there, 27" 1440p ~120/144 hz is my personal sweet spot also considering cost.
Just avoid Curved ones and go up from 27 inch. I also prefer 32 inches but only FLAT.
