- Part II of our AK caribou hunt has the action picking up and shots are fired.
The migration can be feast or famine when it comes to hunting caribou. Although the action wasn't what we dreamed of, we continued to work hard and stay positive. It was an adventure worth experiencing and we'd do it again in a minute. Great times with our friends from Weatherby.

The whole time on that first bou I was waiting for someone to read out ranges while you were positioned behind the scope and they never came :( i guess too many cameras or such was a distraction cause with 4 guys you would think someone could confirm a range to that bou before you shot. Tough hunting but I’m sure a memorable experience

Sucks to miss but on the other hand you were surrounded by guys with rangefinders, as the shooter you should have never had to leave your scope. 2 cents.

A little constructive criticism here. Pretty sure you all figured it out after watching video.
1) with 4 other guys standing around you, why is the shooter ranging?
2) A hunt like that cost at least $6000.00 each all said and done. Why did you bring a cheap range finder knowing you could/would get into long range situations?
3) you boys have a death wish. Why would you carry unloaded firearms in bear country and have them in a place it takes you 5 minutes to remove and use. I noticed you saying you can see for miles but as you soon found out there are little valleys and ridges things just dissapear or appear. You think the caribou can move across the tundra. Grizzlies are much faster. With other hunters in the area that could have had a kill just on the other side of one of the ridges you popped over and a bear feeding on it would'nt be good. But I guess you could just tell him. Wait until i get my firearm unpackaged and cartridges in it. Things for people to ponder if they are thinking of doing something like this. Good hunt though.
Kill or not, no part of this hunt looks enjoyable!...
