@@DeepOwl1073 Great tow! This trailer wasn't my first RV but it had been over 30 years since my other one so I just considered myself a first timer. I Came across the US from WA to NY and no problems at all. High cross winds in South Dakota didn't phase it at all thanks to the anti sway hitch package. My QX-56 is equipped with auto leveling but that was part of the hitch package so a good thing to have anyway. Heavy driving rains at 70 mph got rid of the bugs. The only upgrades I would make is getting rid of the weak stabilizing jacks and replacing them with welded on power levelers and maybe a different awning that doesn't have the arms that shave your head. I bought mine in May and just got my free road side service cards in the mail so Forest River is slow on that. The solar package did exactly as advertised and I still have 20 lbs of propane left. The outside grill needs to be seasoned properly but is a great addition. It took a while to find the cutoff under the trailer which is right on top of the connection. Doing bacon and eggs outside may draw a crowd and then they want to know everything about this new trailer. Even with the slide in I was able to have access to the fridge and bathroom while at rest areas. Just be careful when going by the stove because if you move the burner or oven knobs you may end up with gas in the unit. It is true that Walmart is reducing the ability to overnight park but Cracker Barrel is free and usually near the freeways. Overnight in rest areas is a spotty thing and I was advised to not take up truck parking at truck stops. They were grateful! I would recommend a topper for the mattress. Keep an eye on the use of DC power for lights, ac outlets etc while on the inverter. I turn the inverter off when hooked to shore power and never use the water pump when connected to city water. It was helpful to download the owners manual from the Forest River site and don't let the dealer talk you into a special coating that prevents staining because it isn't worth the $900 + so just wax your front, back and sides. Get the Furrion camera set up. That really helped me see what was going on behind me while passing other slower vehicles. I don't recommend depending on it when backing into a space. This is truly a tiny house that can go off road. I did this on purpose up a very rough logging road in MT and had no issues at all. The storage under the bottom bunk is a godsend even with the bunk down. Make sure that your dealer orientation is complete and not rushed. Ask as many questions as you can come up with. I used utube extensively to learn how to develop a list of must haves and how to develop a setup and take down routine. My dealer supplied a surge protector and adapters for 120 connects. They did not supply sewer hoses, fresh water hose (I got a 50' zero G) or black water flush hose. The TV doesn't come with detailed instructions and that is a bummer so really make the dealer demonstrate it's set up and use. The audio system is great but again no manual. The steps are really good and I like the way they stow inside the unit. Enjoy!

@@crv20051 well, bad news is. I don't have the 16 TH any more. It was lost to the North Complex Fire in California. But it towed alright. I didn't have any weight distribution hitch with that one. But I would definitely recommend it.
On another note. I replaced it with a GeoPro 19 TH. With a weight distribution hitch a sway bar. Combined with load leveling air bags. Tows great. I don't have any issue so far. Definitely keep it in 4th gear when under load on hilly roads. But runs smoothly on level roads with no headwind in Drive.

@@georgewilliamssr5230 Thank you for the kindness of your reply and sorry to hear of the loss of your trailer. The Geo Pro 19 line does look like a really solid choice--a little more space, but still staying close to that 4.5K trailer load. Tacoma specs have it a little over 6K towing, but GCWR needs a little more realism with hitch weight, cargo, humans, etc! Glad to hear the combo is working out for you. It is the combo I hope to put together this coming year. All best wishes and good travels.

I have been through Ouray, Million Dollar Hwy, up and over most of the big passes in Utah, Colorado, CA, and most of the West and have felt that my tow vehicle did great. I average about 12 mpg overall, up and down passes and along the highway. The 15TB is 2500# dry, and I probably have another 700# with tanks and personal stuff. The highlander is rated to tow 3500#. We wanted something that we could take places where a lot of people don’t go. The u shaped diner was a big part of our decision because of the room to sit as a family and play games and such. How realistic is it too cook in their when the family is also inside. Do you end up cooking outside to avails the crowd? The inly other floor plan I’m considering is the 19FBS just because I figure there would be more cooking space. But my preference is a trailer as close to 3000# and the 19FBS is roughly 3200#.
