I'd say Mondstadt is just an archetypical town of European medieval fantasy RPG setting. Fontaine is hinted to be also fusion of French and British but in early industrial steampunk setting
@@geochadinc.9471 Well, yes, I did notice Mondstadt isn't full german. But that technically doesn't mean Fischl isn't talking german. My guess is that for the sake of convenience everyone in the game speaks the same language, but in the canon, however, I believe everyone in Mondstadt speaks german, since in some of the game's dialogue the Traveler thanks Paimon for teaching them Teyvat's languages

Well that's what I think after playing this game and the story so far.
@@jaredatlanta Someone pointed out that the frame on the Vision is different based on the region. Guess this shows who gave the vision itself whole the element is from the respective Archon.

Even Oz knows she is just role playing. But nobody gets hurt to let such a colorful character do her thing. She is conscious of reality and doesnt let her madness, be pretended or not, hinder in any way anyone, if else, is fun. When you level up her friendhsip she is clear about her treu background so dont stop the weeb.

Everyone kind of plays along because she's a good pure person, just bored/lonely.
I don't think childe likes her. Yesterday I saw a video where when you meet childe in some building and you are for example the traveller(female), he will look at you, then switch to barbara and he still looks at you but once you switch to a male character OR fishl, he will look away xD

i really think the story in this game has so much potential with the complicated backstories of the world, the characters, and alot of other things. but i honestly just find the story a bit cringy with some of the voice acting and how the main story plays out.
it always frustrates me when people just skip through most of the diologue. yes it may be long but history and lore is long. this world isn't a copypaste of our own but a world with its own lore and gods. and they skip through that lore without reading it. and then they wonder why the standard world is so shallow, they ask "why didn't they put more effort into this world". the answer is "why put effort if people will just skip through it and not enjoy it." just like people are doing.

As a Fischl main, I appreciate this so much. People always assume that she'd being childish or just roleplaying, and I can see why but her real story is so heartbreakingly relatable. It's not that she found a character she related to and started just pretending to be her, she had a trauma response to child neglect and loneliness at a young age that ended up shifting her entire identity. I love her so much 😭
Ah that's why she broke her character with us during the the event story quest, we were the only few who understood her despite her ways of talking, my goodness, how precious.
The book that the Xingqiu reads during one of the quests, "Legend of the shattered Halberd 6", talks about the Prinzessin der Verurteilung, and was written in Inazuma many years ago.
So it seems that the Fischl we know isn't just from one story, but a construct from many.
Wouldn't it be a real trip if Amy!Fischl IS the woman of legend who inspired those stories and Genshin Impact is going to have a time travel element?

I was like 11 when I was at one of the lowest point of my life. I was the smart gifted kid, cute and sociable. But sadly, changes overwhelm me. I suddenly got into the smart kids' class 3 years after me being a transfer student from a different school (I was 8 before being a transfer student, turned 9 right when I changed school). For the first 2 years (9-10), they put me in the low-end classes even though I should be placed higher in the classing system. Since I was the 'genius' of the CLASS, everyone wanted to be my friend and always ask me to help them with homeworks. And knowing little me, I'd do whatever I can to make people be content. Even helped my first "best friend" who left me after she got into a newer, more sociable friend group where you're placed high up in the hierarchy pyramid the more you talk shit about other people, to cheat off their EXAM.
Now with that outta the way, this is where my 'fischl arc' begins. My mom told me that I got into the first class. The smart kids class. And knowing parents, of course they'd celebrate it. But not me. I was beyond scared, I was frightened. I was anxious. I had little to no optimism left of my youth despite only being 11. From the past years, I slowly- but painfully learned that not all human wants to be friends with me for good causes. They used me. They used my intellect against me. And when I got something wrong, they'd leave me alone to reflect on how useless I am. And I fucking did- Which left little me speechless. Little me thought that she can make everyone get along if she helps them. But then she figured out she Couldn't- the hard way.
So then I became eleven I guess, living a hellish live. Couldn't look at people in the eyes til now because of that. Lil shit thought that not looking people in the eye and it being effective as a coping mechanism was just the universe having a bug. Thinking that she lives in a choice-based videogame, having the mindset that everything bad that had happened to her was just because the player taking a little too much time picking the right choice. Thinking that everything good that had happened to her benefits the player since completing achievements results in a bountiful of rewards. Thinking that she passed the exam because she happened to be wearing a luck-enhancing equipments. Its kinda fucked up.
Then, I began to be very dormant mid-year. I was burnt out from all the acting. From all the effort it takes to create up an excuse to keep on a front. At the end of that phase, I would always look on the mirror and try on different personas. Chill persona, confident persona, dashing persona, bashing persona, mysterious persona. And in the end, I chose the good old cutesy persona. Before starting fresh again, I would pose in the mirror everyday tobe as cute as I can. I would flick up my fingers while walking, run like Klee or @every other child genshin character, practice cute facial expressions and responses. Mans literally pulled out a Fischl throughout the rest of the year LMAO

With the recent Golden Apple Archipelago event, i cant help but feel sad for her. The city didn't feel like a memory or a figment of her imagination, it was a place full of life and joy that just contradicted all initial impression from her appearance and mannerism. The fact that her dream city shared so many traits of Mondstadt, you can say that to her, the Immernachreich is Monstadt. Still, only in the mirage that she was not only accepted and be herself, it was also a place where she was fully understood. Imagine her sadness when she has to see her dream city fade away.

i was actually close to being a fischl once in highschool lol, because i was such a nerd. her story about loneliness and being outcast is relatable too; sometimes you really feel that you belong somewhere else. i'm pretty much okay now tho, and our princeszin inspired me to be myself a bit more

While she certainly has more than before, in the unreconciled stars event, it is likely that she is still somewhat of an outcast, as she accidentally admitted that people don't talk to her except for Oz's reconnaissance reports.

Thinking about what we now know about Raiden Shogun (the electro archon), as well as some of the others, I've come to a little headcannon of mine.
It seems like a lot of people with visions tend to have some similarities with their corresponding archon.
For instance, anemo users having a desire for either personal freedom or a love for freedom as a principle (Sucrose wants freedom to conduct her research, Kazuha wanted freedom to travel without responsibility, Sayu wants to be able to sleep wherever and whenever she wants, Xiao wants freedom from his bonds, Jean desires continued freedom for her people....) just like Venti, god of freedom.
It seems like Geo characters all live by some sort of personal code or honor system, or favor tradition (like Zhongli, god of contracts and one of/the oldest archon)
And it REALLY seems like for most of the electro users share a number of "personality traits" or more so, trauma with the electro archon. She, an archon who lost her family and friends and thus knows great lonliness and suffering, as well is known to be quite diligent worker when it comes to the prosperity of Inazuma....yeah. She's also the god of eternity.
Lets see.
Razor is the clearest, being abandoned as a child and raised by wolves, he had to watch his original pack of "family" be killed (this is when he got his vision) before being adopted again by a related pack. Sara is the last of the (known) tengu, with no family of her own, being adopted into the Kujou clan, and is incredibly (Keqing like) dedicated to Inazuma. Keqing, is incredibly dedicated to Liyue, and not just that, but is very focused the concept of the "eternity" of liyue and believing that liyue needs to step up if its going to survive without their god. Beidou was an orphan (seeing a trend?) who survived extreme poverty with Ning, and has spent her life trying to make both money and friendships that will last "forever" as well as cement her legacy (eternity). Lisa is a bit of an outlier here, except for perhaps that something happened in Sumeru we aren't aware of....
And this leaves Fischl.
The girl with few friends, who felt (to a point) that she was being betrayed by her parents. A girl who hides who she really is to take on an identity she feels as though she *should* be (*cough*, *cough*, I see you "Raiden Shogun whose name is Ei pretending to be her dead twin sister Makoto for all "eternity"".).....
I think out of them, Fischl is the most like Ei, as she is right now. On her way to make a new life for herself while fully immersing herself in an identity not her own but clearly recognized by others. A familiar (Oz, and Miko even says she's Ei's familiar outright), to help her her in line while upholding that new identity, someone who is incredibly hardworking, but almost always in the shadows, and needlessly edgy because they're dealing with the effects of prolonged lonliness (and, in Ei's case, trauma).
I'm pretty excited to see and learn more about the other archons to see if this holds up with the other vision characters.
She may not be the original Fischl, but she's still awesome and worthy enough to have her own powers.

It's more than that, great video btw, but I can't just accept that Amy manifested her dreams into a reality, visions are a powerful thing, but the extent of their power (as far as we know) is granting the wielder the ability to manipulate elemental energy, the fact that Amy not only can wield electro but brought to life an actual living breathing talking raven is far more than just what a vision might be able to do. I think we're missing a huge chunk of info about Fischl. Oh, she can also see through Oz's eyes at will ... Yeah.
And she's not the only one, Guoba with Xiangling is also a curious case...
Maybe one day we will find out the truth, but until then, we can only speculate.

I knew she was a chunibyo from the first moment I saw her, but this is such a deep story 😢💜💜💜 for sure she is my favourite character even more now.

Oz having a personality and acting the way he does actually makes a lot of sense when you consider that Razor's stand(?) also moves manifests and interacts on its own. You can see it in his idle animations. I think that these energy constructs are something that electro users can do and that they manifest as something from the user's mind/inner wishes /subconscious. This could make Oz show up as a character from a book and even allow him to just pop up from time to time.
My favorite character, one of the motives why I kept playing the game early on, I love her dedication to follow her dreams and her persona has Fischl, also Amy is really cute when she broke character.
Fishcel is the epitome of 'never give up on your dreams' if you try hard enough, you might achieve it.

Honestly, I see her as a very damaged girl.

seems kinda like the opposite though, she was neglected to the point of grasping on to anything she could to escape that loneliness. The first time her father tells her something that seems endearing and comforting to her she obviously chooses to grasp on to that and not let it go.
She developed this persona from a lack of being spoiled and the constant neglect and near abandonment she felt

I have a whole other theory:
First of all, fischl’s one eye is covered. In one of her voice lines she was talking about it but I don’t really remember- I just remember that it was something mysterious. According to her story and voice lines and stuff, I think she actually is not around 16 or something. In her story it sais she actually is coming from another universe and she actually sais that SHE created the universe in her voice lines. I donu think this is because she’s a chunnybiou, (I forgot how to spell it) because she actually is powerful and she created a universe herself. That’s why I also don’t think she’s 16; she can’t be that young because since she created a universe, (which she calls her home-world or the universe that she created and found it padise in her voice lines) she must be old like the gods I guess. Not only that, according to her story and her voice lines, the eye that is closed of her is actually the vision of her other-self in a parallel universe which is Amy herself. So according to this; I think she is very powerful and she created a universe and she sees her other-self in her other eye. Also I think she lost her power somehow when she came to Teyvat from her home-world, because I think she’s normally much much more powerful than she is in Teyvat. (Since she created her “home-world”) I think fischl is not a chunnybiou. I don’t think she just sais these stuff because she “thinks” she has powers and making up some fantasy stuff to “act” strong. I don’t think like that. I think she actually did all the stuff she said I’m her voice lines and all the stuff is true. (Said in the voice lines.) I have some proof too though! If she was only making up some stuff to “act” strong to be a “chunnybiou”, in her character story it wouldn’t write that she created/came from another world/universe. In her character story lines it sais that she created/came from another universe, but her character story lines are not obvious as if but still it reveals her secret.

Her origin is so interesting, same goes to the og Fischl. But what if Fischl's soul was merged with Oz's? And the true purpose of Oz being loyal to Amy was to help her grow to be a suitable body for Fischl? I really want to know what exactly happened when Amy and Oz met.xD
