I like how simple it is to adjust color, brightness, contrast, hue, and for music- adjust the speed WITHOUT changing the pitch. I also like how increasing the contrast doesn't just make the bright brighter, but also, in an image of a star, like Sirius for example, increasing the contrast makes the 4 points of the star longer, brighter, and the star shines more. Like a bright sparkling crystal light in water, lit up. UPDATE: Oh- I forgot- and I like the equalizer. I was able to get used to determine which one to adjust, based on the quality of the sound. Like a depth in the background. And which to increase and which to reduce. I like increasing bass and treble qualities in music. Loud, sharp, clear and good, clear bass. Even without high quality speakers. But I always use Apple earbuds. Good quality bass because one of the tiny speakers on each earbud is pressed tightly against the wall of the ears, making the sound echo through the head, just like a stereo system with surround sound. And still too low for others in the room to hear what I'm listening to. So, loud music and still complete privacy in the room, or out in public. Especially while bike riding. But again- it's never great quality without Windows Media Player.

Whenever I try to sync an album....let's say 10 tracks using windows media player, at least 1 if not 2 of the tracks is cast out of the album/folder and dropped into a different folder which is then labelled "unknown folder". Sometimes thosr pushed out tracks are not put into a folder but are made solitary tracks, labelled track 1. So I end up having dozens of tracks ALL labelled "track 1". Any ideas?
I am fine with my WMP, but the LIKE portion doesn't always work. I put my videos in a certain play order, but I like to click on the stars as to how much I LIKE certain songs. It used to work, not only intermittently, and I can't find anyplace that talks about this issue. Help?

How to prevent the player from changing the order of playing the songs in the playlist???? Until recently, the songs in the playlists were played according to the order/turn that I set. Recently the player has "taken control" of the order and plays the songs of the list(s) in random order. I tried all the options in: Organize> Sort by>.... None of the options return the player to its previous function, there is no option: without sorting / my arrangement only!!! How to stop the player to change the order of the songs in the playlist???

well i got to the codec pack step and received an error stating that "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.
@mjtube I think I've lost it pls help me. I tried the second method as I went reinstall media player after restarting my laptop but the second time I didn't restart when it told me but I did later on and now I went to services but it's not showing media player as I think it completely got deleted from my device I also tried the 3rd method to install media player from web but it's not happening ....... what should I do ? how do I get back media player ?
