  • Today I would like to share with you how to release all attachment to your desires, without any form of suppression or denial.
    After practicing what I direct you to in today’s short guidance, you will feel so free and be so crystal clear about desire, that this question will not come up again.
    And understanding this important insight which you will be learning today, will help you no longer suffer from your desires, allowing them to project lack where there is none.
    Along with this, the sense of personal identity itself will be weakened and dis-identified with.

    Dr. David R. Hawkins even said this too where releasing the feeling of desire has you in the feeling of acceptance (It's okay if it happens and it's okay if it doesn't) and paradoxically, this brings in your desire with ease since there's no resistance or clinging to it 🙏❤😌

    Considering the possibility of not ever getting my desires- I am more okay with this now than ever before. When I think back to the biggest rejection I faced, all other desires came into question. And when I didn’t get my way, my ego threw a tantrum. But I sat with this frustration and disappointment for months. And eventually I stopped caring. Does it matter whether I get this or that? I stopped caring so strongly about a lot of things. There are still deeper desires that show themselves in various situations, such as wanting to fit in or whatever, and I just observe them. I suppose I have become more apathetic about the world, but I don’t want it to be a kind of bitterness saying “I don’t care about anything anymore.”

    This video revealed to me that I am not as afraid of saying this may never happen as I am afraid of continuing to fantasize it. I literally cried. This exercise helped me let go for a few days but I came back to the fantasy of it as I feared... It's like I came to the point where its okay that its not going to happen (even if I am sad about it, I will survive) BUT, the fear is that I keep it with me via fantasy 😭 This is chronic for me though, I wanted this intensely for over 10 years now...

    I just found your channel but I don't get it. Why would you want to let go of your desires? Even if you can manage to not identify with the part of your mind that feels resistance/upset when you contemplate not getting your desires....for what end goal?
    Doesn't this just set up in your mind an acceptance that you won't get your desires and why on earth would anyone want that?
    We want to get our desires:)

    Hey brother I am doing a talk to text and can't edit so I apologize for typos due to my severe light sensitivity in my eyes. Just a thought to add if never getting what we won't let us feel a certain way what a thought if never getting what we need. How does that make us feel...

    • @selfinquiryschool
      @selfinquiryschool  Před 3 lety +8

      Haha the same principle would apply honestly. Instead of accepting the possibility of you never getting what you want, you must come to accept the possibility of your worst case scenario happening. Fear is the opposite side of the same energy we call desire, they are one. Observe the desire and fear from the place of freedom

    I second a previous comment by asking you please to make a long video, maybe an hour or more, about the opposite of accepting that your desires will never come true, and that is accepting that your all your fears will come true. I think the second one is much more difficult for me and a lot of people than the first because it’s harder to deal with something unpleasant becoming a reality than letting go of something that is at most a source of frustration if it never becomes a reality.
