We've been using keyboards and mouses for a very long time gotta get used to him. Thomas aren't your only fingers
Its pains me that he restarted the map every time he failed instead of using the quick reset button
you have to reach the checkpoints to quick reset
I was like, there's no way there isn't a quick reset.

@@cbadcruiser you don't, you can quick reset and it takes you back to the start. It just doesn't reset your time.
Get good at this, then imagine how good you'll be at Zeepkist, haha
Not the same principles behind the games... Apex Rush needs you to take the curves properly as it allows for further acceleration, meanwhile Zeepkist, minimizes turning due to how speed is handled in Zeepkist...
Literal pain....is it a Kan track? :) That is really cool you dont lose speed underwater. if they make a track editor that could be some crazy tracks for sure.

Dapper I figured out the problem with the landings. You can't really hold accelerate while you're in the air. Your car will lose control on landing. Release when you go off a jump and accelerate again just before landing.
went and played and beat the first level in 10 minutes (10:08:610). getting to checkpoint 5 was the hardest (after the red loop). I made it to cp 4 in 3 minutes and it took another 6 minutes to get to 5. Second hardest was the jump out of the white tube. took me a few tries. Made it to checkpoint 2 on my first try. I used keyboard to make sure I was doing it the same as dapper. I think he needs to tap more. Not hold. I thought it was quite easy, but there are a few weird things with the game. I got some strange clips while driving straight down the center, and landed once and the car almost instantly stopped.
I figured out the problem. The car has incredible torque, so if you hold accelerate while you are in the air you will bounce and lose control as soon as you land. Let go as soon as you take off and then accelerate right before you land. It's incredibly easy if you do so. I tried a second time with controller and struggled with checkpoint 5 again until I discovered so. Second time was 7:12:239

Boy that first 5 minutes was difficult to watch. Hard to sell me on a game if the first jump is that rigorous.
Once you get the line for the jump and dont smash into walls removing all your speed its quite easy. The rest is not
it's not actually that hard, but if you dont know the apex or the racing line then yes it will be very difficult. To me dapper needs a bit more training on how to find the best line
Well the game is still SUPER early in it's development and as you can hear Dapper say at 2:20 there was an update, so coming to a conclusion based on this video is highly unfair to the game

Seeing how the very start of the game is already like this, I will definitely never gonna play it.
Your watching someone who, like he said himself, doesn't play driving games on keyboard and mouse. So yes it's going to look super junky, super hard and alot worse than it is when your watching someone play a driving game with a keyboard who hasn't done so previously.
This game came a long way. I remember when the creator first started it. It's on his CZcams channel.
The beginning of this is impossible to keep watching. Dapper, my man...I love you but how have you not learned the most basics of racing lines and taking corners by now?
I remember randomly watching the creator of this game building this map as he randomly showed up in my recommendations and he made it look easy 😭

If you're blinded then use the brakes and ease along till you can see and also this is not zeepkist, zeepkist will alow you to do shortcuts but I believe this one is designed to where you can not do shortcuts it's designed to where you have to use the track the way it's intended

Sometimes it's just about comfort; lotta folks just have more success that way, but in this case the game itself doesn't have controller support just yet unless something recently changed.

It's almost like they took the most basic UE vehicle template, made a gamemode, used a premade world, and added some shiny track assets.

Who would make a racing game without controller support? I assume they had to test it. That's ridiculous.
It's like one of those 1000 degree knife challenges right through the eyeball.
It's in super early development, from what someone else said, it has controller support now, so if he would have updated the game like it requested, he would have had controller input and would have been alot easier.
Most recent update adds controller and a checkpoint before the loop where Dapper got stuck.

I can't believe this little game is insane, its graphics are outstanding and gameplay is so hard, I played it very time and the result is on my channel.

Dapper? I love the color of the dial and the strap! The dial looks really (well done ✅ and I love the dial too much to be honest haha but I think it’s just the dial blablabla and it’s a great watch) and it looks great in the blue dial as well done with it and I ye love it too but the dial is too big for the price point of the blue

When he made this video the game was in early deveploment, so the physics were unfinished
Unless Dapper jumped into a difficult track this feels way too difficult to be considered a beginner's track, and I think racing games should definitely start with easier tracks to help ease in new players, as experienced ones will definitely jump to the harder ones anyways.

I feel like it takes genuine effort to take lines as bad as this dude did, but I mean I guess I've played trackmania a liiiiiiittle too much, had to stop myself from getting track master on every track after the first 40 or so... it was called like trackmania turbo or something, I aint a huge fan of that series of games, I was just bored at the time and the high speed driving and drifting was fun.
but anyways this dude made zero effort to prepare for turns by swinging out and didn't even start turning until after they had already entered the turn... felt like watching a toddler playing their first racing game and not realizing that the car won't turn on it's own because they've never bothered paying attention to how cars work in real life, the closest I saw him get to actually trying to make any kind of preparation for a turn was hugging the inside wall of the turns like he was trying to get the perfect half a millisecond time shaved off right before he slammed into the other wall because he just couldn't be bothered to turn with the wall.
I mean yes it may be harder than it looks, there may be some other challenges which only become obvious when watching someone with basic competence or playing the game yourself, and the game being made by one dude tends to skew the difficulty upwards as testing something as you make it is a sort of exponential skill increasing loop similar to crafting equipment that boosts your crafting skill levels on a game, but his timing and precision and everything else about how he's controlling that car just screams that he's never touched a racing game in his life, and racing as you give commentary isn't nearly that difficult as I've done the same while racing with friends, so regardless of the games difficulty, this dude really sucks.
I get that not everyone plays racing games, but I was expecting more from the title, like at least someone with enough skill to actually show how difficult the game is.
the only half decent attempt I saw before I couldn't stand watching anymore was 4:55, though he clearly wasn't prepared for success and seems to be one of those types that only learns through failure, which probably isn't exactly a mark against him for most people, but I love flying by the seat of my pants and tend to be at my best on my first go around of tracks making split second decisions and having fun, so watching someone who needs to fail to learn is just pretty boring.

I love you as a creator and i love your videos but god who is editing them? Honestly it jumps past every high point and leaves in alot of the boring parts, like the entire video keeps killing all the suspence. Wish well and still a good watch
