I watched your video with extreme attention and enjoyed it very much. Thank you for taking the time and recording it. It is a really very valuable asset in many designer's day-to-day projects. Congratulations!
Thank you for sharing this and making the video, this expression is great! Love that it works with paragraph and multi-line text, which I was really struggling with today.
Nice expression and a great tutorial. Thank you. Keep them coming, please. It looks like you really know your stuff.
Perfect expression and tutorial, thanks for sharing this
Excelente trabajo!👏👏👏👏Felicidades.
Buena herramienta!
Very cool, this gives me lots of ideas!
this is awesome. thanks for the code!
I wish you could change fonts, weights, and other styles within the selectors. Wonderful script! Thank you!
You're a god damn saint. Do you know that? A SAINT
Thank you. I didn't see that coming, but thank you. LOL.
@@LuisMartinez-oh2nx Nah man this is seriously extremely helpful, I constantly come back to this expression. While I doubt you care about this expression anymore, do you think it would be possible to make an invert selection? Maybe by putting the x value to 2? Thanks again for this amazing tool 👍
Thanks for sharing, this is great. Is it possible to use this for kerning individual letters within the Essential Graphics panel? I have some animated words with a uniform tracking value but I want to tweak the leading of certain letters. I can do this within the timeline interface but I can't think of a way of doing it within Essential Graphics as I can't specify the letters I'd like to alter. Any thoughts?
Hey Luis! Great explainer!
Now that we can access text directly with expressions in AE 2020 is there a way to do this same kind of thing but changing the font weight, font size etc?
I haven't been able to figure it myself, would love to know if it's possible!
Cheers
As of today it is not possible. Best you can do is add stroke to make the text look boldish and adding skew to make the text look italic. As for font size, best bet is to change size. But it looks really bad if there is a big difference as the tracking is not preserved.
Maestro O:
Would it be possible to use this or RE to automatically color URL's in the text a different color than the rest of the text?
Great tutorial but how did you end up fixing the accents? ´~`
Hey !
Looks cool but tricky as you said.
I see many things happen but don't understand how to get this selection.
What is the expression to keep this selection ?
I wrote the expression, this is not something that After Effects has out of the box. As with any other parameter available for expressions, you can type anything you need, as long as it works for your project.
@@LuisMartinez-oh2nx Yes sure... i thought it was a tutorial on how to write the expression... nice job anyway
!
The expression itself has several lines, so posting it inside the description might not be a good idea. A tutorial sounds good for another video. 😊
@@LuisMartinez-oh2nx you're the boss ;)
Download the script and apply. Its in the video details.
Hey there, I'm really struggling to get this to work -- Do you just apply it to the "Amount" property in an expression selector, and rename the animator? Am I missing something? I can't seem to get it...
Arrange it as it is in the video, and it should work
