My “God Mode” would be to type what I want it to do in the layer. And walla it does it. Like “make selected object Disintegrate”. So that object then does that function. Boom! 💥 🤯

Thanks so much for posting this video. As someone who's just starting to use After Effects, you've made me feel like expressions aren't out of reach for me. And while it's simple, "Wiggle" will come in very handy for a project I'm about to start working on.
A while back I built an interactive operating system in AE with precomps, guide layers and expressions. It has a lock screen with a password prompt and also showed the current actual system time

I would like to include voice control for After Effects, for those times when clients say 'make it a darker blue' or 'slow that animation down' or 'make it square and round and triangular all at the same time'. Being able to yell instructions into the computer and watch it update would be absolutely amazing.

My „God mode“ would automatically mask out people or objects

I've seen someone do a video where that worked pretty well in premiere, if it was setup right (I suspect it would work in AE too). The video instructor grabbed a single frame of the scene without the person, then he didn't move the camera (tripod). And the person came in the scene but put enough distance between himself and the camera that there was no shadow on the wall. Then he filmed using auto. He said you had to film with auto mode. Then he put the single frame above the footage, dragged it the full length of the footage, then gave the frame a right click and some sort of hold command). Then in layer properties he changed the frame from normal to (either divide or multiply, I'm pretty sure it was divide) then the whole background became white. Then he removed white like you do green screen. It was pretty cool, though he wasn't a perfectionist when it came to getting rid of the edges, still it's a great start. If I find the video. I'll come back and add a link.

Hmmmm. i would automate easy ease in/out because i need this all the time for smooth animations. I’m not very knowledged about after effects. I’m re-learning it because I forgot what I learned in uni. But I also want hot keys for cutting layer sections in the timeline and preview panel like premiere pro. Maybe once I learn more of after effects, hopefully I can learn more about this coding looking stuff xD

Quick question about random: If you don't Seed it, it changes every frame. That's good, I may want that, BUT how can I make it every other frame or once every 3 frames, or once a second?

Jordy, My name is Cory J I been trying to learn After Effects for about 3 months every time I watch a video and want to learn something I try following along but it seems either I misunderstood something or I don't know maybe its just a version conflict. I have the Adobe Cloud so I have everything. I managed to learn PS, LR, AU, Pr, Ai, But After Effects is really testing me. Can you give me any tips on what I could do to figure this program out? i just want the slider at the bottom to not be so thin or expandable or not so close to the edge of the window. on a mac i am constantly bringing up the dock and like it there so don't want to move it.

I would allow some "legacy" workspace, so when you are using tools you already have in photoshop for example, they would have same name as they have in photoshop and work the same way. How futuristic is that...

I have a confusing copyright question with storyblocks/videoblocks? 😫 If i have a licence with videoblocks and use the stock to create a video for a client, does the client also need licence to upload that video to their channel? For example, can my client be copyright striked on their end by some algorithim for music/sfx that I used on my end with licence? 🤔
After effects needs to switch to node base it will be a power house if it does especially creating essential graphics via a node editor
