  • The ld Davis D100 Backhoe needs some love. Time to repack one of the Hydraulic cylinders but first I have to figure out how to take the thing apart. I have very little experience with hydraulics. This is a two part video series. Enjoy.

    Sometimes I weld the tool to the nut and cut it off after I get it loose

    Two things I do is red lock tight the piston nut or bolt and anti sezee the threads on gland nut
    Will keep the treads from rusting out and bad

    lol in hyd shop we use rag and wire it over fitting to catch the oil lolol 😊

    It should have popped out. Also you don't always have to align both pins of wrench the lead one can actually just ride on the outer edge of nut and you only have to hit the bottom hole in this case

      I ended up getting it out... the cylinder was binding slightly due to me trying to pull it out horizontally. I inverted it and popped it out vertically. Thanks for the heads up on the pins on the wrench, ill keep that in mind for next time. Cheers!
