Island was playing for their lives like crazy and we still beat them with B team (9 changed players!!!) that never plays together! Hats off to Island, but I can't believe the team we have! This is just incredible victory, tells more about the team than victory against Argentina! The only goal we conceded in these 3 victories was from penalty kick! Am I dreaming, what parallel universe is this?! haha After so many years of frustrations and early exits they are finally putting it together, and it looks mighty impressive!

I agree with almost everything you said but "insurmontable odds"? Croatia basically played with Modric, Perisic and 9 bench players who never played together in a match before. I am sorry but Iceland had their chance against Nigeria and were blown away. And i am sad for them because i like them but they dont deserve to go through.
Jarvis I will concede that that statement was added for dramatic effect but it I believe we've gotta give credit where credit is due, Croatia is STRONG. As someone who is admittedly a pure casual when it comes to football, I was surprised to see Croatia perform so strongly in their group - especially against Argentina. I understand that while Iceland aren't (yet) up to the World Cup standard seen in previous years, I still think that their efforts are commendable and I full confidence that they will improve in future years.
