Something I have noticed with both Senegal and Nigeria, their running is so fast and so good that when they take over the ball, the other teams just can’t keep up with how fast they run and take over! Niang did the same for his second goal, ran like a dog and no Polish defender could catch up. Musa did the same for his second goal here!

I think the changes made by the coach in tactics and personnel weakened the team and diluted the synergy in the Nigerian team. This team during the qualifiers used overwelming pace to devastating ends, and thrived on counter-attack that would devastate any team on any day because it was a free-scoring team that behaved like an opportunistic Viper, slow, brooding, waiting, calculating almost relaxed to a fault, then they strike with deadly precision on counter-attacks that catches any team pants down. Moses provided the runs on the wings, Iwobi slithers into position at the centre even the most harmless pass to him becomes a threat that sends the back of the net gyrating happily to the utter shock and disbelief of the stunned, beaten keeper. Ighalo lurks around like an Inland Taipan and when Kelechi comes on during the second half his dazzling dizzying runs on the opponents penalty box suddenly awakens the team and you see the Eagles come alive once more like a hibernating African rock phyton to coil round the opponents and squeeze them slowly but persistently until they concede. Musa may be used as a sub but that guy darts down the wings like a bullet off an M24 sniper rifle. Mikel distributes the passes while Onazi worked as the interceptor-in-chief, Troost Ekong, and Leon Balogun act as both enforcers and counter-attack initiators. When Ezenwa was in the goal during the qualifiers we had some certainty yet Uzoho although at times flatfooted and unsure of his positioning, with slower reflexes, he is proving to be the greatest revelation in Nigeria's world cup, he is good and will get better with experience. If there is one person that the team misses desperately, it is Onazi. However, Nigeria has players that act as a Lucozade boost to the team. If anyone noticed, as soon as Ebuehi came in, he started doing what the team needed, initiate attack from the defence. To be clear, the Eagles don't attack like most teams whose attack starts from the tip of the midfield instead the Eagles attack from the defence. This is why we lost to Croatia, they forced the defence to pass the ball in our own half and defend same ball rather than initiate attacks. However in the Iceland match, the first goal was a pass from the defence, second goal was a straight lob-volley-punt,shot or whatever you call it and came from the left side of the defence, and in under 1 minute after that pass, Musa found the back of the goal just like the little green snake in my village, one minute you are walking happily barefooted having a feel of the warm sandy soil and wild grasses kissing and prostrating at your feet, and the next the green snake out of the blues slithers past the elephant grass, rounds up the stiff defensive walls of tall green imposing bamboo poles and before you pick a wild berry the green snake has unleashed a stunning volley of neurotoxins at the cheek of your ankles as it backflips in celebration over the tall grasses. The Super Eagles stunned Iceland like the green snake in my village. You never see it coming😎
