If not the engine rebuild (that shouldn't appear every weekend. no idea why you think like that), then you will be able to fix it like a basic sports car. Those engines are easy to work on if you got the right tools and you don't need to carry all this weight. I bet that rotary engines are still lighter than i6 and other big engines.
@swilleh_ I specialize in rotary. I've built them exclusively for years, just got tired of them. And you are correct, massively easy to work, no special tools needed. Just got burnt out.
Supposedly, you have to let a rotary engine warm up before you start to drive in order to take proper care of the engine. That might be part of the reason why people who just start up their cars and go complain that a rotary's unreliable, if that's the case
