    I picked up the M30x's new for $55 a few years ago and love those things. No removable wire and the wire that comes installed with it is LONNGGG but still has 40 millimeter drivers with a nice neutral sound.

    • @ralphotero3053
      @ralphotero3053 Před 2 lety

      No, you don't need an amp for these headphones, they don't seem to scale up very much when you amplify them. However adding an good dac most likely improve the sound of of your music files independently of the headphone you use.

    Sonic sense pro audio channel has these compared to others, and to me these by far sounded closer to the original than others, including the M50x, Beyerdynamic Dt770, or the Sony MDR7506.

  • @AndreasHvilhoj
    @AndreasHvilhoj Před 3 lety

    i got some nice at m40x but...
    Why do mine turn up and down the volume by themselves? when i play a song at let's say 50% volume they're fine until the loud part of the song comes and then they turn down the volume without me doing anything and when the song goes quiet again the headphones turn up the volume
    it's almost as if they're trying to have the volume be the same ALL THE TIME instead of letting me hear the quiet parts as they are and same goes for loud, like i want it to be loud if that's how they made the song... weird

    • @KevinShroff
      @KevinShroff  Před 3 lety

      Thats weird, and definitely not from the M40X - check the audio source youve connected your m40x to, maybe it doesnt have enough power to drive the headphones, or maybe it has some loudness or dynamics leveler audio effect or something like that enabled

  • @BlazertronGames
    @BlazertronGames Před rokem

    I wouldn't recommend these if you are looking for durability (or you wear them on one ear a lot.) The clip where the ear-cup attaches to the headband literally just snapped in half on mine after 2.5 years. I wasn't very rough with them, either. I think it only really came from wearing them on one ear, and taking them off with one hand. I'm not the only person that has had this problem, there is no metal in the hinge, only plastic. As far as I can tell, beyerdynamic dt 770 or sony mdr-7506 are far more durable, and have metal in the areas where it matters.

    My biggest dilemma has been between DT 770 vs M40X. And I guess from what I see for the purpose M40X is better for mixing bec they are more flat. DT770 is basey and has some spikes in highs. Do you agree?
