Sailboat Shakedown Time - Virgin Gorda - Ep.2

- This week we take some time off from the boat works and head down to Trellis Bay in Tortola to enjoy the full moon party and catch up with some friends. We fly over to Virgin Gorda and take in the amazing scenery and go for a snorkel in The Baths.
We decide to do a shakedown motor to Virgin Gorda to test out old Zephyr. We dock for the first time ever and get some fuel and water for the journey. Once we are confident all is well, we check out and start heading to St. Marteen to get our new mast and sails.
This is the last video where we will use our phone cameras. So bear with us for this last video. We thought there was footage worth including despite the quality.

We also just bought the sister boat of yours. Ours is called dolce vita. It was not storm damaged but also had to invest a lot to make her ready for proper sailing again. It is great watching how you approached the topic and to learn from your learnings and experiences.
Just remember that you never stop learning. I have been sailing since I was a teenager and am now nearly 70. I still get it wrong sometimes, stay safe and enjoy your adventure.

I like your videos. As many sailors it seems the video posters blasting ones favorite music at watchers is more than annoying. A lot of people complain about it. Quietly in background, great, any music goes. Blasted at watchers sucks. I constantly turn sound up when you share and down when you turn music fully up. You share beautiful places. You speak normal, then you way turned up music. Ack.
