I was in all kinds of pits before but this little girl was not ready for a Pantera pit 😂 luckily some nice gentleman pulled me out of it, made sure I was ok, and jumped back into the fray. 'Walk' was one of the simplest riffs Dimebag Darrell (guitar) came up w/ back in 1992 for their 2nd major album 'Vulgar display of power'... Phil Anselmo (vocals) captured the hard attitude perfectly against people who wanna trip on u for petty reasons.
One of the qualities of the greatest guitarists is the ability to play slow and sound incredible, as well as shredding fast riffs... and Dimebag Darrell (R.I.P.) was one of the greatest 🤘🤘 The beat that his late brother Vinnie Paul (drums) gave 'Walk' was just stellar... and we can't leave out bassist Rex Brown's fat groove.

trust me, venue didnt matter with Pantera, i saw Pantera in a big venue, and yeah, the pit was epically brutal! they were known for having the roughest pits, I've been in many in my day, but Pantera really brought out the primordial fire at a live show. GETCHA PULL!!

The mosh pit at a Pantera concert was always intense. It is the same way at several other great band’s concerts. But 99.9% of people in any pit are not trying to hurt one another, and that .1% that should have just stayed home.

The majority of metal shows I go to are at small venues and have crazy lights like that.
The thing about those pits, and most other bands concerts, as violent as those pits were, you would NOT find any other place on Earth with more love than on that floor, in front of that stage. Injuries? Sure. But everyone took good care of each other. If somebody lost thier footing, tripped, and went down, there would be a dozen hands grabbing them and picking them up so not to get trampled. Love and bruises 🤘
