So in this case, the xfr-s is more comparable to a e63s and the jaguar xjr is more comparable to a s63 amg. The e class and jaguar xf are midsize luxury sedans and the jaguar xj and Mercedes s class are full size luxury sedans.
Unless it is the Long Wheelbase version, the back seat is only good for groceries, packages and small children. Forget about transporting adults back there.

The best and only time to buy a Jag, is when it's a used car. That thing will drop in resale value as quick as Ramaphosas popularity after May 8th.
The next xj is rumoured to be all electric 800 hp. Future petrol variants will see the current v8 lump replaced by an i6 or the BMW engine.
