    Sweet! I have two of these and on 6s they are at about 98amps!! The power is great too! Love them!

      @M4rkmcc21 Před rokem

      Yes agreed very low draw. I just up the timing from med to high and its Amp draw is still low enough for stock 100A with the gain of about 80g thrust

      @nighthawk0077 Před rokem

      @@M4rkmcc21 I wouldn't call 98amps on 6S very low. I would definitely advise caution running full throttle too long on 7S.

      @@nighthawk0077 98amp is very low for a 6s 80mm fan. 98amp peak for a 100A is fine. Its draw midrange and throughout is very low compared to other 6s 80mm motors too (xfly 2200, fms 2100). That's why they give slightly more flight time and that's why I was able to up the timing and still be within range. Peak with the 2100 is 115A. Peak with the 2200 is 120A. That's on stock timing too. Thats why the sirius gets very hot. Id definitely not run these motors on 7s.

    What your referring to is the difference between static thrust and in flight thrust, in flight you have a rush of air based on your speed, the air coming into your fan increases your thrust. Some fan profiles are better for this than others

    • @Themheals
      @Themheals Před 3 měsíci

      Dynamic thrust is less than static according to engineers.

    That’s really impressive !! My 80mm jetfan 1865kv on 8s is meant to be 3.7kg of thrust.
    I’m tempted to buy the fms unit and try it. I would be lighter on 7s and in theory fastest and have a better vertical! 😎

      @@ghoustanable I have got a question for you tho mate. I’m building a Sebart avanti. So I’m looking at 90mm edf units, Jetfan Wemotec and Schübeler. They all cost WAY more than the 90mm FMS 1500 KV unit, Would you try the FMS unit on 10s in that model? I can’t see why it’s not worth trying. All the above units put out about 5.5KG of thrust on 10s. Iv seen your testing and that it puts out over 6kg on 10s.
      Worth a go fitting it, for long term use?
      What would you put in a Sebart Avanti. Much appreciate the help. And I enjoy the videos. Keep them coming. 👍💪👍

    Fms also puts more time on designing their fans and fw does not. Hence the performance in the plane being better with fms… my experience anyway

      @Garfield Houstan thanks mate. Its just basically the the same as the Predator/FMS 120A 3s-8s esc but with Hobbywing logo on it. Would u also recommend yo go for the metal housing and not the plastic? Found the metal ones online at a reasonable price. Now you're making me consider 7s for my Mig29!!

    • @ghoustanable
      @ghoustanable  Před rokem +1

      @markmcc21 that would be a sweet setup in the MiG-29. I would go metal over plastic. Yes, you do have additional weight from the metal. However, you also have additional cooling because the metal shroud acts like a great big heatsink. Additionally, a lot of the freewing 80 mm jets need a bit more tail weight anyway, so this is a great solution and gives you more options to move your batteries forward.
