Best Time to visit: Sunrise or Sunset
Which route you should take to reach Mandalpatti, Coorg?
There are two routes available,
Route 1: Via Makkanduru - 35 km from Madikeri
(Recommended for family with elder people)
Easy route, decent views.
Route 2 : (My Recommendation): Via Abbey Falls
Beautiful views and great off-roading experience.
How to Reach?
Take a local jeep for about Rs. 1500 from Abbey Falls Junction.
Take a local Jeep for about Rs. 2500-3000 from Madikeri Bus Stop Jeep Stand
Sharing ride also available : Rs. 400-500 per head
Entry fee Rs. 50 extra per person
Tips:
Carry your own food and essentials as there are no shops at the top.
There is a small trek of about 1 km which you will have to do from the parking point.
