That landcruiser was the machine ! ..nothing gave it a problem .The 80series 4.2 with triple locks was probably the best 4x4 ever built .
Defender for me. Cannot be beaten in my book. Maybe I'm biased.

The best 4x4 by far is the defender. I regularly kicked seven shades of sh*t out of it in Patagonia. Old Suzie had a tough life but she was always properly maintained and loved but it wasn't the most comfortable in comparison to my Discovery 4 which can almost do everything the Defender can off road. Great cars

And yet landrover can boast that they have the biggest percentage of old vehicles still on the road.
The Land cruiser did well but didn't do nearly as well as ANY of the Landrovers. It had to take a hell of a run up for the first climb.
Also, why no footage of it doing the REALLY challenging stuff later on? 🤔
Tbh many Land Cruiser in Indonesia where been scrap. Most of them rotting in the junkyard in sumatra

Pretty cool video, nice Rover’s. Here in the USA we see very few of them off road. The two door ones sell for about 120000 dollars, stock and the 110s for about 210000 dollars, mostly we see them at the fancy restaurants and country clubs…

@ we have a couple of old Toyota Landcruisers that are lifted with 38s on them. On our ranch. But mostly we use Ford F-250 4X4s cause we haul cattle and horses. What country are you in? I’m in the USA

@@oberkrainerrock7996 they are awesome, and no they can’t pass regulations in USA. I have a old Toyota Landcruiser, with 38s on it. I have to have emissions tested every two years, it’s getting harder and harder to get it to pass. Have a great day

After 20 yrs using toyotas to get around some of the planets roads an mountains an volcanoes. I would automatically pick the 80s everytime. It’s no just the drive train, it’s the room an comfort too.
I find with landys I’m banging knees, elbows etc all the time. Great if you luv Ruffin it but not for long trips over ruff terrain. Sorry Landry luvers.
I used these cars for a job livin in an out of them. Not bashin around off road centres.

EV’s will not perform as well off road. They are extremely heavy, and would expend all of their power in a very short period. They may work well for a few minutes, but the petrol powered vehicles would be hours and miles ahead of them, on any type of extended overland travel.

Lc has 4.2 turbo diesel intercooler 6cyl. But not enough power
That last part the land cruiser went through it like a knife through butter. And it looks like it could be the heaviest vehicle from the lot... Awesome vehicles though all of them
