- 10-BALL - JAYSON SHAW and SHANE VAN BOENING were up against eachother at the 2022 Derby City Classic Big Foot Challenge on a 10-foot table. Shaw, 33, was the defending champion of the Big Foot Challenge and the 2019 International 9-Ball Open title holder. Van Boening, 38, a former Big Foot Challenge winner and 3-time U.S. Open 10-Ball champion, was also a record 5-time U.S. Open 9-Ball winner.
Mark Wilson and Jeremy Jones shared the action.

That's about as many balls as you'll ever see Shane hang in one match and it was still only a 3 game difference! The level of skill with these two is outstanding and inspirational. They shoot so well it makes me forget that they're playing on a football field sized table lol. Great Video!
The thing here is Jason Shaw is no champion. He's a loser that has one a few games. To be a champion you don't get unsportsman like conduct warnings for throwing the balls around with your hand and being told off by the judges. Jason Shaw did that in a match with Fidel Gorst. It should have been game lost but they gave him a break Fidel went on to win the match. Jason Shaw is a loser he is no champion He's only one a few games It takes it real champion to lose a game with dignity and he can't do that.
I see Shane lose focus in the middle of a match way more often than he used to. I bet Shane is just completely burned out on playing pool. Probably wondering if the fish are biting in the middle of his backswing.

@@dbbl Yeah, you're right, but as far as I'm concerned, that's not 10-ball -- it's 9-ball with an extra ball. Call shot is what makes 10-ball a better game than 9-ball, which will always have a huge luck factor.

Mark´s extreme admiration of Shaw gets pretty comical. Same for JJ saying Shane is the best player on the planet when it took him forever to win anything outside of the US. All kinds of excuses including not agreeing with food abroad. Took him much longer to win a world 9-ball. Yes Mark, Filles is the better shot maker and has won ten times as many major big tournements than Shaw.

The TPA stats are incorrect starting with Shane's miss here 57:18, and I don't think they ever get it corrected fully

If this match was in 2022... the commentary comparing Shaw and Filler is WAY off...... Filler is a MUCH more accomplished player than Jason (and Shaw is amazing)... His list of titles are ridiculous and at this point Filler is in the discussion for greatest ever...... so to say that Fillers rotation game isn't as complete as Shaws is almost laughable.

I used to dislike filler, but he's just so good that I can't help but enjoy watching him play. His pace is great, almost like a Strickland like the above person mentioned.

This is the way 10 ball was played for 40 years before the BCA messed it up.
@@justachristian4072 Is that true? Look up the 2016 10ball match between Dennis Orcollo and SVB and go to the comment section. The Accustat page replies to someone and says "The Big Foot Challenge on a 10-footer is NOT call shot." So according to Accustats, its only being played this way because of the table they're using.
I like both of them and I do want SBV to win but I think Shaw gonna take it. It's 10 to 6 Shaw. 🙏
