Say that again. Today, you have to spend $100K or so to get a comfortable car, and even then I am not sure the experience would be the same. Just look at those seats! The simulated wood grain looks very attractive and did not cost a fortune. Those cars were pretty simple, but they were very solid and comfortable, and priced within many people's reach. In addition, they were relatively cheap to maintain and repair. I prefer the Electra, though. Had a '78 that was stolen from me.

What a beautiful car! I love it!
As far as cloth vs velour, I always understood that velour has that plush pile that you can run your hand over and it changes shade in each direction so to speak. Cloth on the other hand is just that: cloth. You will never find cloth in this caliber of vehicle. Velour is more luxurious and soft.
I love your videos, Anthony! Always great, clean cars! Keep up the great work.

The '80s were the heyday for velour upholstery. I really miss it. It gripped you in the turns and felt comfortable whether it was 100 or 10 outside. I really resented when the automotive market started pushing leather and really low-grade crappy no-nap fabric (NOT velour).

Wow! So beautiful and so nostalgic! My Daddy bought the 1984 version of this beauty back when I was still a young teenager. We were a family of 7 (including my mother and father). Although the Dodge minivan had made its debut in '83, I guess my Dad was not that impressed and preferred the subtle luxury of the Buick for his family. This care gave us many years of safety and good service as we traveled up and down I-75, on Dad's ministry assignments. I'd love to own one for the nostalgia, although my choice for our young family these days is the Honda Odyssey Touring. My kids would find the LeSabre cute and interesting, but they're not ever giving up their Odyssey, and I don't blame them. Just a different era. Thanks so much for sharing this video!

I still have one now in a coupe same colors. I had about 4 of them over 25 years, White, Burgundy, Black and my current Gray one- all coupes and I drove them everyday. Weakest link in these cars is the anemic 307 Olds motor (165 Hp maybe) and the valve stem seals which dry up and then allow it to burn oil. But as a collector car its fine. 1985 is the only year the Lesabre was bigger than the Park Ave Electra, which went to FWD that year. The"leftover" Park Ave interiors from 1984 were put into these cars and made the 1985 "Collectors Edition" Lesabre. But these cars an eyeful for sure and really did float down the road. Thanks for seeking and saving these cars.

Absolutely stunning. I come from a Buick family myself. My father had this same model, completely identical except the seats and carpet were burgundy red and the AC was a touch pad.
I’m going to guess you didn’t drive this car at night. The Buick LeSabre word and rectangular pinstripe above the glovebox light up when you turn on the headlights. I’ve never seen any other car with that unique feature.

This was amazing. I miss the 80s cars. I had an 82 toronado and an 87 riviera. the quality was impeccable. plastics had made their way in but there were still some quality stuff like the leather and the velour as you call it. I wish I could go back and drive my toro and riv. The Riviera was so ahead of its time with the digital dash and crt touch screen. It felt so futuristic. I have had two kia optima turbo's a 2011 and a 2015 and though their tech was nice i'm in a 2013 lincoln mks twin turbo v6 that has been a good mix of what i've loved over the years. The luxury, the sport, the power. and happy to have the awd with the power to really make it scream down the road!

The indoor video is fine. You have to because of your seasons and the winter weather. You are right about filler panels down south. You are so on the money. I remember that Pontiac Parisienne. Simply elegant! I liked you put new tires on the car and your comment about the 1996 Buick Roadmaster Collectors Edition and the seats on this LeSabre. It was sad to see when GM downsized all those cars in the 1980's. They upsized in the late 80's early 90's the fwd cars. Buick Roadmaster gave buyers one last shot at this kind of Buick(1991-1996). Hard to believe Buick is now an all crossover and suv brand in the United States. The last Buick sedan to be cancelled is the Regal which is being discontinued. They will still have Buick sedans in China. You are right about that brand loyalty does not exist anymore. That was a lot of collectors items that are interesting to see. Nice and clean indeed.

I believe that the Buick Roadmaster is the best highway riding car ever made, Quiet and smooth.
I have a new Regal now, it has a sport suspension, which means you feel every bump in the road.
Feels like a Nissan instead of a Buick.
Nothing like the cruisers of the 70's and 80's, That you could run up on the curb and the suspension would absorb all the impact.

This is a beauty!!! I was raised with Buicks and in fact, my first car purchase... was a 1996 Buick Park Avenue.... it was the bomb.com lol I miss that car and hope to find another one like it... the first car I drove was my mom’s 1985 Buick Regal T Type supercharged engine... I loved it!! I love this car!! It takes me back!! In fact, growing up, my second home was Schuman Carriage, the official Buick and Cadillac dealer for Hawaii (sadly they retired the company)... if you still have this car in 1.5-2years, I may want to buy it... depending on what other beautiful Buicks or Cadillacs you may have at that time!!
