I've heard a lot of people talking about "purse peace," but I feel like we change as we age and so our needs and style preferences will change as well.
Purse peace is a weird term, I sometimes want to sell some bags and I feel at peace but then I start to really want something new or as my life changes, but itâs good to have healthy relationship with material items and knowing itâs just bags and they can come and go đ€
Absolutely respect this ideology. If a bag no longer works for you and is sitting on the shelf - get rid. This makes me think a few times before buying instantly and really think about similarities within my collection. Thank you my girl x
Thank you Jess đ„čđ€ I mean I think we all go through cycles where downsizing is very healthy. I feel overwhelmed consistently about having too much makeup or bags or clothes, but itâs definitely hard to sell some things
I loved this format. Donât sell your CFs you love them. If you are not using the book tote in the next 6 months either shelf it for esthetics or sell. If I donât use my bags I sell or donate. Bags are meant to be loved
PLEASE donât sell the classic flaps you love them and they are truly investment pieces. There really is no rule to owning handbags you can have as many as you can afford in your collection đ
Thank you Roz!đ€ thereâs definitely no rule! But sometimes I feel really bad when Iâm not reaching for them often so I get the urge of selling đ„Č I will give it a lot of time and thought to the classic flaps so I donât have regrets
Do NOT sell the classic flaps. Donât sell them based on impulse. They are hard and expensive size to repurchase. Need to be very certain before selling those. Unless you need to sell some, then thatâs a different story. There is nothing wrong with keeping things that you love, especially if you use them sometimes, even if itâs not often. Selling the little Kelly to go since you have the mini Kelly in the same color made sense. They were kind of duplicates. Both small, both same color. Since you sold the caramel 19 no need to sell the caramel flap. I say For me color and size is something that differentiates bags and whether they are duplicates. So I see why you sold the trendy and itâs one that you can repurchase if you miss it. As for the book tote, I think that size doesnât work for you. I say sell it. If itâs the print that you love, buy it in a smaller version that you can use as a bag. I donât use totes so I donât have any luxury totes except for my first LV bag when my kids were little. Itâs just sitting there. No need to add more. I travel with a canvas coated large Longchamp le pliage that I can put on the floor and wipe down after my trips. Most of my bags are more delicate and pretty (while still practical in terms of size) because that is what I love. Donât carry them all the time as I have many but I love every one and not selling them. Fewer durable bags That I use more often. You look beautiful with and without makeup. And love the new couch!
I agree if youâre not using your bags sell it. Great choice to purchase something for your house đĄ Keep your classics Chanel bags. Sell the LV boots
Maybe you should sell your Pink chanel bag? I feel like the color doesnât fit your vibe and I never see it on your pictures or videos of your most used bags. But I definitly can imagine the struggle !!
I think you are smart to always evaluate your handbags. They represent money, so you want to make sure your money is buying what you need and want and can use. I love your sofa, BTW.
I love the 'get ready' video format. Please do this again. Also, I'm with the others that you should keep your classic flaps because each is a good color for you and also has a story which gives history to your collection. Selling the black CC makes sense because you have your black Kelly and it is a truly forever bag. I have been feeling the same way about the size of my collection. Since I have not added a Birkin or Kelly yet that would be the only way I would add another because the designer bags I have I can easily carry in a rotation depending on outfit and season. Love how you share and always look forward to another vlog.
I think you should let the book tote and the boots go. Keep your classic flaps because you have always loved them and can pass them down when youâre older. Also I think you have a very reasonably sized collection đ
Hola Lou - I spent years buying the hot new skin care. I wanted all the pretty bottles. My skin got worse and worse. As of about 2-3 months ago, I use nothing but three products: I wash my face with a bar (!) of Dove soap. I slather my face with Bio-Oil (itâs drugstore - super affordable on Amazon - good for fading dark spots too). And then I cover my face with Cerave Cream (not the lotion - but I have dry skin especially in winter). In summer I use Cerave SPF lotion. Cerave is truly a miracle and so affordable. My skin has never been so soft, my pores are nearly invisible, my skin looks amazing. Saludos!
For sure the Dior book tote since you donât reach for it as much as you would have liked! But the classic flaps I feel like you shouldnât, youâve been hunting for those gorgeous bags, they are your âtrophyâsâ đđ your entire classic flap journey truly shows and sometimes we do change and grow up but they are are of your journeyđâ€ïžđ„°
As a viewer, I love seeing that couch in the background so thank you Chanel 19 for that! As for the bags, I don't think the book tote is serving you as much as it could to whoever buys it. As for the classic flaps, I would get rid of the vintage, it feels kind of redundant to me, in relation to your other bags and meanwhile you could make someone's classic flap dreams come true when you sell it. And who knows maybe it will be their birth year bag as well.
Im practicing 1 in 1 out since 20 years so I can appreciate everything I have and use the items. To me when you are beginning to think about letting something go: there is always a reason. Maybe deep down you are tired of it, want to use money for savings, maybe you feel you have too much⊠Close your eyes, imagine social media doesnt exist anymore so you dont know value of things and not exposed to brands marketing and no pressure/judgment from anyone. Listen and be authentic to your feelings the answer will come to you!â€
Selling the book tote and the boots make sense by what youâve said. Maybe hold off on the classic flap until youâre more clear on that decision. đ
Your choices in your sold bags make a lot of sense (Kelly to go and Trendy CC). Thank you for being practical in the YT Luxury community! You are encouraging me to be practical, there are 4 bags I definitely need to sell! Sounds like you should keep your classic flaps though - in your â€you are a Chanel girl âșïž
Great video, Lou! I agree with you about letting go of a bag if you decide to buy another. It'll help you to be more conscious of your spending if you do it that way and will also help you not to get too weighed down by how many bags you own. I think you should sell your Dior book tote and maybe the pink mini square and vintage flap from your birth year. Having said that, I only think this because these aren't my favourites. What matters more is how YOU feel about them. Definitely keep the white, black, grey, caramel and green classic flaps! X
i think the classic flap colours you should definitely not sell based on your style are - caramel, grey, tiffany blue, black. if i was you, i would spend the next few months using my classic flaps and see which one i don't use often đ
You sound like me! I go through periods where I just want to sell everything and then I think about it more and realize I love the items I have. Iâve acted impulsively before and sold things and then immediately regretted it. To me, it sounds like the love isnât there for the Dior book tote. If itâs not functional for you and your life anymore and you donât see it changing, Iâd definitely sell that and the LV boots. For the classic flaps, I wouldnât move on this just yet. It sounds like each flap has its purpose and is well loved! For now, keep and enjoy them. Donât feel guilty for having them - itâs ok for things to sit sometimes, especially if you love the pieces and have the financial means to do so. Loved this GRWM!
I totally agree about selling the book tote and the LV boots! It seems like theyâre no longer suited to your lifestyle which is okay! I would say keep the classic flaps because theyâre all beautiful and serve a different purpose đ„°
Hey Lou, yeah donât sell the classic flaps, u love them soooo muchđ Maybe you can sell the book tote and get something else in toile de jouy? So you still have this gorgeous designâš
love the video! One bag in one bag out is great! sometimes I do twobags out and one bag in! great make up! Also look at Indie Lee line of skin care! the couch Is fantastic! it looks so beautiful! making decisions about bags is always hard because they are like old friends!
One in, one out is a good policy especially if you find you are not using some of what you have. But...if you really enjoy the LOOK of the Dior book tote (and even repurchased it), instead of thinking of it as a tote, think of it as a luxury home decor piece. Fill it with something, like rolled hand towels for a bathroom, or beautiful fake flowers for an office, or have a Dior book peeking out with a fake baguette loaf and leave it on your entry hall table. I agree that Dior book totes are not practical with the stiff handles but I think they are absolutely gorgeous to look at. If I already had one, I would use it as a home decor.
Lou the Dior book bag is like a piece of art. Maybe keep it, but repurpose it. For example, put it on your shelf in your office and keep office supplies in it or use it to store other things. That way you can keep the bag and make it useful in a different way. Have a Blessed day!
It doesnât sound like you are ready to let your classic flops go. I think you are so young that as you age, you will regret that decision. But a test could be to set one aside for 6 to 12 months. See if you miss it, I did that was my Kelly 32. I said it aside for six months! Never grabbed it, so I sold it.
Lou đźif you sell any of your classic flaps I promise you you wonât have regrets because even in the video you said yourself youâre happy with the savings that youâll get from it so if that something you want to do you should just do that you can always re-purchase down the line but if having savings is something that you really want then go for it
I have a book tote and have only used it once on a vacation, you are correct, the handles were an issue on the airplane, but otherwise it was a perfect beach bag. I'm keeping mine for the time being, but I can see why you would want to sell, especially if it doesn't hold what you need it to hold.
Okay girl sooo Iâm for selling the book tote forrrrr the Celine tote! I absolutely love that Celine tote and want it eventually đ„Žđ„Ž I love your one bag in one bag our rule. I can see how it would make buying bags easier on the bank account and your mind lol
Do you still have your pink Chanel square mini? Itâs super pretty. I just feel like you donât grr we much use out of that one. That could be an option to sell?
Love the get ready with me! Donât sell any of the classic flaps! Lol just because they are all special in some way and you can tell when you talk about them. Plus you wear them so itâs not like they are gathering dust on the shelf. In the end whatever makes you happy!
Hey lou! I love how practical you are with the one-in/one-out strategy and that your approach is based on usage. I think Iâm inspired to do the same after having watched the video. I try not to hoard bags/shoes so that they do get worn. But having said that, I wouldnât sell the classic flap. I feel it would be timeless always and increase in value and can be gifted or handed down to your daughters if you plan to have kids some day. Also I love how your channel is such a positive safe space. All the followers are kind and constructive and no drama at all đđœ itâs so hard to find such a safe space on the internet đ„čđ
I feel the same way about my wonderland boots! I think I am going to sell them :/ I love them in theory but for some reason when I wear them I feel a bit like a spectacle, in a way I donât with my bags. But if you donât need to sell the classic flaps, I would definitely hold onto them because they are only going to go up in value. And definitely not the gray!!! Itâs such a rich, velvety stunning color!
Oh the search for the perfect tote! Iâve been on this journey for a minute and have definitely made a few mistakes. Sell the Book tote. It doesnât seem to make much sense for your life and your needs require something more sturdy. Iâve been contemplating the Chloe Leather Woody tote for this reason BUT in the meantime, I got a Marc Jacobs teddy tote because I needed something while I figured it out and can I tell you? Itâs my favorite tote ever. Itâs so lightweight. It hold my computer without being enormous and the fabrics allows me not to baby it all. Iâm a New Yorker and I travel a lot so security is a concern for me and I LOVE that this tote has a zipper. Also, donât sell the classic flaps. My nieces constantly joke that theyâre so happy I only have a son because that means they inherit my bag collection đ Classic flaps are heritage pieces at this point and I can definitely see you passing them down in your family. Thanks for being one of my favorites!
I agree, if you arenât using a bag it can be a good idea not to keep it. After awhile I know I will run out of room, as my closet is only so big lol. If I keep buying I will have to start hanging them from the ceiling.
If you use your classic flaps, then why do you feel the need to sell it? As long as theyâre being used, I donât see why they got to go. If it wasnât being used, then thatâs different.
Iâm totally for the one in, one out! Really makes me reconsider my collection & really think about whatâs been used & what hasnât. Iâm in the same boat of deciding to sell my book tote but itâs just so pretty đ too pretty to stay on the shelf tho
Hi Lou! I love your videos so much! They all have very cozy, happy vibes and they put me in such a good and calm mood! Your makeup is so beautiful!!! I was wondering which shade of Chanel Les Beiges eau de blush you are using?:)
The one in one out policy has always worked for me. To me, it just makes sense. The only time I stray from this is on my birthday. For that, I allow myself to buy a new bag outright, and not get rid of one. I say don't sell any of your other bags just to downsize. Just my opinion.
Sell the book tote and boots, keep Chanels except maybe the green (not my personal fave). I would sell the Bobby bag too, but thatâs just me. Loved this format of video but also loving your vlogs too.
Nice videoâŠthe Dior tote let go and I would suggest the Tiffany Chanel CF as if doesnât seem like you ever wear it and it doesnât match your color palette. Possibly the vintage as you may not wear it as often given your never purchased. Only suggestions as you have an amazing collection.
Have you thought of getting the Dior tote in the larger size? I have the large one that fits everything, including my laptop and couldn't bear to part with it. And please don't sell the Chanel flaps! They are iconic pieces, especially the colors you have. Maybe revisit selling them next year, and if you still feel strongly about it then do so at that time.
Ditch the book tote and the boots unless you are having financial distress, then do what you think is best for you. But if you are in a safe spot, keep your classics. I don't sell my items since I tend to stick with classic pieces most of the time. I try to be mindful and use what I have and not follow temporary trends hoping one day to pass on to my young teenage daughter as things were passed on to me, such as watches, jewelry, etc... đ Although I don't believe you need any additional Chanel bags in your collection as provided the list. Hope you make the right choice and be wise with your spending. Best of luck.
Sell your book tote if you think about savings. Thatâs probably the best way to go And your monogram boots too.. But your CF they are hard to find pieces and the colours were great, keep âem :)
I always talk myself into buying a book tote but evertime im about to buy one. the structure isnt for me. I need a flexible, ready to go bag that doesnt require that much pampering. You know what i mean đ đ buying that bag in that price doesnt give justice by pampering it and treating it like a baby or even just storing it on my shelf. It looks good on the shelf for sure. But for the dust to sit on it and for price. I dont think so. So i got myself a deauville instead, best purchase ever. Flexible, got a handle and a long strap! Perfect đŻ
HI! First congratulations on your engagement. I've never seen Polo look so happy and proud. I don't think you should sell your dior tote you brought it twice for a reason. I'm going through the same thing here in the U.S not wanting to take my designer bags out unless I am driving. hopefully thing will change. Keep your tote. Sell the LV boots. Also keep your Chanel Bags because you're in doubt, when in doubt do without that includes making decisions.
Sell the tote and shoes but keep the Chanelâs :) youâll have more $$ and save it for something you will absolutely love and use. Love your videos đ
Nice chatty video! Donât do the flaps unless you still feel like this in 6 months to a year, put it in your planer and stop stressing about it. You have had to many changes and you probably gona fall back I love with them đ unless itâs to buy a wedding dress đ
I'd be interested in buying a chanel classic flap if you do decide to sell - but obviously understand all the reasons you would want to keep them too! enjoyed this video lots - so nice to have things you love and use :)
Loved the sit down , conversation, type of video. Iwould not sell the classic flaps, get them a little longer, itÂŽs a classic for a reason, but I would sell the book tote, if just there "collecting dust", them it doesnÂŽt make sense to keep it.
I think I deleted my comment by mistake đ Lou like many others I think you should keep your Chanel classic flaps! These bags are so precious and with these crazy price increase itâs painful to get new one. Chanel classic flap, Birkin and Kelly you can pass to your daughter! Tote may be good to sell. If you want to come back to it, you can get one with new style/pattern. Selling Kelly to go in gold seems a good idea considering your collection and I also would keep blue brume one as the color is very special. thank you for the video! đ€
Now there are many vintage Chanel classic flaps but with time getting one will be more hard especially in good condition and new version does not come with same quality so I recommend keep them all.
I think that for the book tote, you should use it as decor somewhere in your home. You love looking at it, enjoy that! I donât think you should sell the classic flaps. You are very young. Your life will change. You will use them in the future. And theyâre like money in the bank. Sell the boots if you want. If you have a baby, your feet will likely change size.
Donât sell your bags if you feel guilty .I had the same guilt feeling after buying my Birkin with premium from reseller . So I was debating to sell few of my 6 classic flaps to get some of my money back .. but I decided to stop since I am quite sure I will regret it . I got them for excellent prices before the crazy price increase . I still love therm as they are in wonderful seasonal colors ( caramel , rose Clair , burgundy ⊠etc) .
Book tote: hold on to it for another 6 months. If you still not using as much as you would like, you can consider to let go. As for classic flap, just keep it. There is no reason to sell them.
I've heard a lot of people talking about "purse peace," but I feel like we change as we age and so our needs and style preferences will change as well.

Donât feel insecure without makeup, you are really pretty even without it đ
I would let go of the book tote and the boots but definitely keep all your classic flapsâ€ïž Loved this type of video! đ
I love the sit down chit chat videos âșïž
I say sell the book tote but keep the classic flaps! The Deauville serves you better than the book tote
Thank you Melanie!!! I think I will end up selling the book tote and think the classic flaps a bit more đ€
It is so cool how you just have the necessary for fashion, makeup and bags, and itâs alway concern in how often u use each of it, inspiring!!!
Love the chit chat especially your natural looking way of putting makeup on â€
Put your blush wherever you like it! There will always be a know-it-all naysayer on the internet! đ your makeup looks nice!
PLEASE donât sell the classic flaps you love them and they are truly investment pieces. There really is no rule to owning handbags you can have as many as you can afford in your collection đ
Amen!!
Thank you Roz!đ€ thereâs definitely no rule! But sometimes I feel really bad when Iâm not reaching for them often so I get the urge of selling đ„Č I will give it a lot of time and thought to the classic flaps so I donât have regrets
Agreed, definitely keep all the classic flaps id say!! I would personally sell the CD tote
Your skin is looking amazing!

Keep your classics Chanel bags. Sell the LV boots
Thank you Andrea!đ€
Sell book tote and LV boots!! Keep what you truly love! đ„°
Thank you đ€đ€ I will end up doing that!
Your couch is everything! You've sold some good bags, I think after selling the Dior book tote and LV boots you can pause and reassess in 6 months.
Maybe you should sell your Pink chanel bag? I feel like the color doesnât fit your vibe and I never see it on your pictures or videos of your most used bags. But I definitly can imagine the struggle !!

I absolutely love that Celine tote and want it eventually đ„Žđ„Ž
I love your one bag in one bag our rule.
Hi Lou, where do you sell your handbags to get your money back? Thank you!
Sell the book tote keep all the classic flaps!!! You will regret and end up buying back at crazy prices!
I highly recommend you keep your CFs, see the recent price increase âŠ
I wouldn't sell the classic flaps, especially right now! I love your videos
I think try to wear each classic flap for a couple of days each see if you are happy or meh then decided on that. But definitely sell the book tote
LOU, YOU ARE YOUNG AND GORGEOUS. NO TENGAS PENA SIN MAKEUP. LOL. ALSO, WHERE IS THE WHITE TOP FROM?
Iâm totally for the one in, one out! Really makes me reconsider my collection & really think about whatâs been used & what hasnât. Iâm in the same boat of deciding to sell my book tote but itâs just so pretty đ too pretty to stay on the shelf tho
Hi Lou,
First and foremost, congrats on the engagement đ
I would definitely sell the Dior book tote and the LV boots.
I would sell the book tote but keep the classic flaps.
Thank you đ€
I agree!
Hi Lou! I love your videos so much! They all have very cozy, happy vibes and they put me in such a good and calm mood! Your makeup is so beautiful!!! I was wondering which shade of Chanel Les Beiges eau de blush you are using?:)
literally on the same boat with chanel classics... this prb happened to me as I just love hermes a bit more now lol.
Follow your gut, sometimes is good to let things go and have room for other things as time goes byâ€
The one in one out policy has always worked for me. To me, it just makes sense. The only time I stray from this is on my birthday. For that, I allow myself to buy a new bag outright, and not get rid of one.
I say don't sell any of your other bags just to downsize. Just my opinion.
I would keep classics and sell both totes.
Keep your classics, sell the book tote. You can always reconsider selling your classics later, but only when you feel đŻ about it!
Thatâs going to be the plan!
I definitley think you shoukld swap the book tote for the celine tote!!
DONT SELL THE CLASSIC FLAPS
Do you use the pink mini square bag much? I think you like the vertical medium flaps more
Sell the book tote and boots, keep Chanels except maybe the green (not my personal fave). I would sell the Bobby bag too, but thatâs just me. Loved this format of video but also loving your vlogs too.
Loved this chit chat grwm!
Yup, I love GRWMsâ€
Nice videoâŠthe Dior tote let go and I would suggest the Tiffany Chanel CF as if doesnât seem like you ever wear it and it doesnât match your color palette. Possibly the vintage as you may not wear it as often given your never purchased. Only suggestions as you have an amazing collection.
You have a good skin routine going đ. You may not need hyaluronic acid separately because it already is in the moisturizer. Have a great day âșïž
Would say keep all the classic flaps, but sell the Dior book tote
Yes, it's smart to sell the book tote now, while you can still get more money of it. I've heard some people having issues with it aging badly.
I put my blush high too!! It helps give some shape to my rounder face :)
The Book tote is the only one I will sell đ loved this video â€
Iâm happy to know this type of video is also good!đ„čđ€
Love your videos, I would sell your book tote and the boots, but keep the classic flaps
Sell your book tote if you think about savings. Thatâs probably the best way to go
And your monogram boots too..
Perfect đŻ
Btw i love the sit down! And the make up products you show. Thanks
Which Celine tote bag are you thinking of getting,
I'd be interested in buying a chanel classic flap if you do decide to sell - but obviously understand all the reasons you would want to keep them too! enjoyed this video lots - so nice to have things you love and use :)
Loved the sit down , conversation, type of video. Iwould not sell the classic flaps, get them a little longer, itÂŽs a classic for a reason, but I would sell the book tote, if just there "collecting dust", them it doesnÂŽt make sense to keep it.
Where is that teapot and cup set from its stunning?!
Maybe sell the book tote but then eventually buy the smaller size to still enjoy
Lou, where do you sell your Bags? I would love to buy from you, knowing they are well lovedâ€
Hi Lou! I'm curious because I am also thinking of selling my KTG - what sites would you recommend? Merci!
Loved your video , Iâm feeling a bit convinced to start 1 bag in 1 bag out !!! Which platform is the safest for selling luxury bags ?
Book tote: hold on to it for another 6 months. If you still not using as much as you would like, you can consider to let go. As for classic flap, just keep it. There is no reason to sell them.
Hey Lou I loved this video! May I ask how many bags are in your collection right now?
Where do you sell your bags??? I âd like to sell some but I want to feel secured
she is prettyđđ„°
