Crazy how documentaries have been getting popular in recent years. I feel like they were barely made in the early 2010's, but now have been being produced like crazy.
Accessibility to them was always an issue. This was broke by youtube and now streaming.
Documentaries rarely were of appeal to studio execs - You could not profit too much off of them or were generally considered boring matter.
As a docu-film-maker and someone who loves films, I'm glad people now are more interested to watch such great docs and docu-series. It takes a lot of effort shooting them and also editing them. More power to good films!

Cried my entire way through. I forgot what kindness, hopefulness and love looked like in leaders. The energy, forward thinking, and inclusitivioty that the Obama's displayed seems like a lifetime ago. She will always be a leading, elegant and inspirational First Lady!

Like the guy above me said, she publicly admitted she never felt proud of America until her husband got elected president. That says a lot about her as a person. I truly enjoyed the documentary. There were tears, but I enjoyed the time she spent with her family, the reflections she had about her father and grandfather, and when they focused on some of the students she visited.

I read the book and that was great, really amazing woman! I'm so excited and I'm curious if the documentary will affect me like the book.
