With how much efford put into it, it must have been a long road, getting from there to here.
For anyone wondering what mods were used to create this. (Also just fyi, you don't need mods to load the save.)
Micro Manage: For adjusting the position, rotation and size of objects.
Area Actions: Lets you select areas and copy/paste, and more.
PakUtility: Adds various chat commands to the game (!fly, !noclip, !god, etc.)
Thanks for posting, I hope nobody assumes this is vanilla. That doesn't take away how amazing it is.

10:35 This is actually a technique called "Kit-bashing" where people take preexisting shapes in 3D and mash them into it's own thing. Some people go nuts with it. I have been trying to get better at it myself when it comes to 3D Modeling. It can be done in 2D, like how many artists can create amazing looking landscapes. Some people are just built different to have those minds, lol.
It's allmost like the makers were listening to Infected Muchroom.... ;-) wink wink (nice playlist you have bro)
As someone who watches the original SST often I'm blown away. The medivats in the bio lab, the canteen, the launch bays, just perfect. You can see the creator has watch the film over and over to get the environments just right. Super blown away. I would really recommend rewatching the first film after watching this, the similarities will hit you when you see them.
What I find amazing, is how smooth the whole map runs. No stutter, no slideshow. And that despite all the things going on. That's a testament to the devs on how efficient they made the game (or probably on Kibz who alternatively may have broken into the NASA-mainframe to run this map)...

the amount of fine intricate detail is astonishing, yet its not overdone.

Iâm amazed at how detailed this world looks. Iâm even more amazed that itâs all running at a stable framerate. My PC that Iâm running my game on isnât up to date, so it would chug if I ever ran something like this on there.

In the beginning, I was inspired. ... but towards the end, I had no self-confidence left. This is absolutely insanely good and well done.
This is amazing! This is the first build Iâve seen where I actually donât recognize most of the pieces and blocks. Like, I wouldnât recognize this as satisfactory in most places. That speaks volume to the creatorâs creativity!
This thing is AMAZING. That reactor room is nuts, and the details on the hull? Holy god.
It's interesting to me that you exclaimed with joy at the greeblies on the engine cowlings, considering special effects artists and specifically model-makers say that greeblies (little seemingly irrelevant details) are what makes a project actually live.

That area at 15:51 reminds me a lot of Lorville's habs on Hurston in Star Citizen. I like it.

This is one of those builds that is sooo good that it's unrecognizable. It doesn't even look like Satisfactory anymore. So cool!

This reminds me of when I used to do renders in DoGA. You had a library of fairly basic shapes and you had to clip them in certain ways to get certain greeblies on ships. So much fun.
This is so beautiful, a grouping object option would be nice in the basic game so you can arrange differents assets and save the configuration !!
That's insane, imagine having the patience and creativity to do something like that

I really would love if they turned the base game into something like dyson sphere program and have a sort of space engineers element with having like build able spaceships, then you could have a like space port or something where you export some rare metal or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if this individual has some sort of background in game development and modeling or has at least dabbled in it. I find those with such experience often come up with the most interesting ways to use pieces in a game. I mean this person practically used the game as a level editor lol.
Unfortunately I do not have experiences in game development or 3D modeling :/
But I do however have an extensive amount of experience at being stubborn, using whatever tools I can find to achieve that vision.

That is BEYOND COOL! Even better that it is Starship Troopers. A little disappointed we couldn't see the bridge. Was the bridge done or did it just get glossed over in the video? Also, did anyone else get a Halo vibe? The whole time looking at the interior I got Halo UNSC starship vibes.
AFAIK the bridge is done, he just didn't find it or care to show it.
What a coincidence. I've been taking a break from Satisfactory as of late and diving down the Space Engineers rabbit hole. This looks like someone took the two games and said "Now kith!"

All you need is the micro manage mod to get to this level of detail. There is nothing in there that isn't vanilla, just resized and rotated in ways the game normally doesn't allow.

It would be great if the CS devs would give this kind of freedom without mods. It wouldn't have to complicate things for basic gameplay. Just have some modifier keys for doing cosmetic scaling and rotation.
