If I don't Build 1,000 Battery /min My World will COLLAPSE in Satisfactory Update 6
Satisfactory Update 6 gameplay today and we have to deal with the 'circumstances' we find ourselves in. So instead of progressing normally, I need to rush and automate 1000 batteries /min to save our power grid from crashing in the future.

Wouldn't be a Kibbitz build without a nuclear disaster
I like how that's become the staple of the channel
@@archonmage2486 at this point its kind of obvious that it’s manufactured for content.
can you make a video about factoria please?
@@flairian4528 not really. The way he does things kinda creates those problems.
@@neilsiebenthal8696 yeah but he does them on purpose, the most satisfying part of satisfactory is plugging the the production line you just made and see it working… and he just ‘forgot’ that part? For a production line required for nuclear energy to work? It just seems convenient that 1 in 3 of his satisfactory videos are how its ‘melting down’ and he only has so much time before he ruins his world. Its just obvious content manufacturing that takes away from his videos in general.
Kibbitz : We need to get this going as fast as possible so we avoid possible power shut down!
Also Kibbitz : Lemme just see how pretty I can make these machines and walkways real quick.....
Also kibitz:
Uses unnecessarily power and space intensive solutions to immediate problems.

On a lighter note, great content man keep going and please fix your breaker room.
@@cheesesniper473 also Kiblitz: dose not make the master shut down switch where he said is his entire base master shut down switch room.
@@ImKibitz 0:13 you are amazing every time I watch your vids I am in awe by the sheer scale of your build keep up the good work and have fun 😮
"Because we'll never have another nuclear issue again! :D" I feel like this phrase should be part of a counting gag. just add a little ding sound every time he says that.
@ImKibitz Merch shirts when?
Add a ba-dum-tish.mp3 in there.
I would laugh if coffee stain watched the vid and did an update adjusting the recipe, all in the name of “helping”
This would be great!
I mean, they've confirmed that at somepoint in the future (think it's Update 7), they're playing around with the water requirements for nuclear power plants (think it's lowering it so it's not on it's own overclock scale, since on a normal scale a 250% plant should need 750 water per minute, but Mk2 pipes can only do 600, so they fudged the numbers a bit). They've said nothing should break, but Murphy's law will probably say otherwise.
@@irishgoblin95 Especially in a carefully tuned factory like this, it'd be really, really, really difficult to keep it from breaking if you changed numbers.
@@nikkiofthevalley If they only thing that gets changed is a reduction of input water required, then it should break nothing. You'll just have Water Extractors idling, which is a very minor drain on power that you're producing in the hundreds of gigawats.
@@PhailRaptor I can think of situations in real life where that may be a problem (some types of pumps don't like it if they're entirely filled with water, they stop working properly, so you could end up with not enough head pressure and you have to reprime the pumps, usually through dumping all the liquid in the system and letting it flow back through if the pumps are self-priming. If not, you can simply prime them after partially dumping the fluid.), but I'm not sure if Satisfactory simulates such situations.
You can actually make those station curves work if you delete the platform and replace it with plain rails, then connect the curve, then delete the temporary rail and put the station back
in U5 (last time that i used trains) it was better to connect rails to platforms instead of platforms to rails because otherwise trains might not recognize it as connection. but another trick helped (and JUST an hour ago saved me in U6): building 2x45 instead of 1x90 degrees.

" ... enough drones to blot out the sun!"

"Heh. Then we will build in the shade."
The foundations you used above your manufacturers along with the half foundations make for some really cool tunnel bus lines as well! 3 half foundations side by side then put the inverted half pipes on the sides. They meet at the top and make a really neat kind of half tunnel for your conveyer busses!
"we had a bit of a nuclear accident last time, flooded our world with waste and our powergrid almost collapsed"
you know I haven't watched for a couple of months but I'm glad nothings changed 😂
This is great for me, because i am just getting trains set up. I did them on another playthrough i did about a year ago, but i've been really thinking through and trying to plan my layout a little more efficiently, so getting to see your experienced methodology will prove useful. Thanks for this sort of content, it may not be 'boundary pushing' but getting a window into another persons process is great. When that person is you, well, this is a good class to have this semester. And Sky UI is a FANTASTIC call out!
Oh Kibitz. First, you show off your fancy SkyUI mod so that you can have permanent sunshine. Shortly thereafter, you propose to block out the sun with all of the drones that are going to be built. In summary, there may be a simpler solution here somewhere...
i love how Kibitz is so organized in satisfactory it stimulates my slight OCD
You need container buffers on the loading side to solve the throughput problem of loading stopping when the train docks. Using the double outputs of industrial containers lets you make up for the lost time
Not just on the loading but also on the unloading side too.
@@skilz8098 you ideally put it on both yeah. It's technically only necessary if your throughput requirement exceeds your fastest belt and even then you can get around it by using more cars. But yeah I always do buffers on both sides. Makes the stations smaller.
@@NotMyActualName_ I use buffers all over the place, not just at my stations. Even throughout my production plants. I'll have either a buffer or a double buffer before and after the input and output lines of my factories. It helps to prevent bottlenecks especially if one product is ahead or below another. I do the same thing with my oil production plants.
However, using the correct ratio of different speed belts is what truly makes all the difference. I rarely setup any belt balancers as I typically mostly use manifolds. And at the end of their output lines, I'll usually split them with a smart splitter with the priority going into my storage buffer and all overflow going into a sink.
This will work for about 95% of all of your builds. Now, when you start to get into doing nuclear with radioactive waste... This is where you would want to be more precise and would prefer to have belt balancing over manifolds. But yes, using a double storage buffer on the inputs and outputs on your stations does help to reduce any bottlenecks due to latency.
Me, happy to have my first batteries factory: 120/min
Kibz: A THOUSAND BATTERIES BROTHER!!!1
:')
Me with 0/min:
This was a great episode. Nice to see the new pieces in action!
I just love your Satisfactory videos Kibz. You inspired me to finally start playing on my own. And I love it. Thank you.
The half foundations are really useful. There's been a few places where I needed to extend a building, but a full foundation would've been too much
They're also nice for creating some gaps, or to sneak in some small hallways in other foundations by replacing full ones with half ones.
The only thing that bothers me a little is that they're not symmetrical, and one side has the floor texture, which is on purpose I feel like
I make rows of Water Extractors alternating back to back and then put a walkway between the face to face portion. I used to use the catwalk, and it looks ok, but I like the concrete half foundation so much more. Densest configuration of Water Extractors with walkways just wide enough to make an interconnected vertical lift, go straight up to key pipeline, rather than trying to go sideways, merge, and lift.
where are all the half walls (walls, windows, doors, conveyor walls, etc) that fit the small edge of those half foundations ?
the half foundations looked like a blessing when i needed just a tiny bit more space, but now i cant't properly cover that half foundation with a vertcal window for the full height of the factory, and also have no more door to enter from catwalk stairs (before placing the half foundation, i had a catwalk corner with a door on the next normal foundation)
@@Anson_AKB lol yeah, I definitely ran into the problem of needing half walls
I usually use the short fences or pillars for that, but it's not optimal
I wish I'd had only a fraction of your creativity and patience. Whenever I get even close to Tier 7/8 I get so overwhelmed with stuff I want to do or could do that my brain stops working and I quit.
What a cool episode of your Railgrade playthrough! Oh wait
Great season video’s so far! I love to see the insane scale builds you do. When I want to try it for myself I get lost in numbers and stare at the screen for half a hour 😅
Didn’t have to space stations apart. The track issue can be solved by first building a straight track passing through(with a node where you wanted to have the ACTUAL node of the turn), and then connect one node to one station, delete the straight track, and then complete the turn to the factory
Love Your Satisfactory stuff man ! It's a kind of a link to the game when I don't have time to play it.... and a bunch of cool tips. Nice to see someone having so much fun with this game.
OMG watching you in satisfactory is soo ocd friendly that makes me wanna see a montage w low music of all your world. congrats kibbitz
Better solution for the 2,000 plastic problem. Each freight car holds 32 slots of items. Each plastic stack is worth 200. So, you only need 5 full stacks of plastic to equate 2,000. And, if you put a train at the end, your speed goes up. Combine that with if the 2 stations are close to each other, and it all might eventually overflow, which you can just put a sink in to nom all the excess plastic.
Been enjoying your builds and inputting stuff you do to my factories
With that curve that doesn't work just split that 90 degree section into two 45 sections. It will let you lay it then.
Noooooooo!
Don't turn off the rain! The rain is the best!
It gives us the reflections on the ground! 🥺
leader kibtz: nothing is more nice than nuclear errors and broken power grid that will colaps at any momment
kibitz the builder : EVERY KIBITZ TO THE TOTALY NOT A FURNCE TO POWER THE GRID SO I DOSENT COLAPS
I think some underglow lighting would look really cool around the battery manufacturers! Just a subtle glow underneath the catwalk :) Idk if it's doable, but just wanted to leave my suggestion! Great video as always Kibz! :D
impossible drinking game: take a shot every time kibs has a nuclear accident
"never going to have nuclear issues again" he says has a nuclear issue "BART!!!!"
I feel obligated to point out that there's an easy solution to the issue with 90 degree turns off of train stations. For the tight bend radius, if it won't do the 90 degree turn, you can always do it as 2x 45 degree turns without it complaining. No idea why, but it works 100% of the time.
"We'll never have another nuclear issue again."
"What's that beeping s... ..."
Are there enough resources in the world to build all that so fast?
ye
Yeah batteries are made of mineable/drillable materials so they’ll never run out as long as you have enough overclocked nodes
Nice video keep it going i love it
decorating next? remember to set it to night time to do the lighting
I've played Factorio for thousands of hours, but just picked up Satisfactory the other day after marathoning your channel.
FICSIT managers waiting for Kibbitz to realise the nuclear power plant is failing like:
***SLLLLUUURRRPPP***
Hey kib,
If you need hover space in the factory, wall outlets work great so you can use the hover thing.
Helped me build my 12 high stack of 600 water pipes for my nuke power setup.
Season 4 Kibitz be like:
,,Nooo, I must have factories spreaded around the world or the lag will be to much to handle!"
Meanwhile Season 3 and Season 1 Kibitz : ,, 60 fps? I don't get any fps!"
Next episode: my nuclear power plant will shut down in 5 minutes but I don't know the issue
“This time, were never gonna have nuclear issues again.”
You don’t know how long that time will last.
Talking about pains of yesteryear… I can remember a time before item lifts…. Oh how the mighty spirals towered in the sky!
4:59 sphagetti trains!
This man should have a very nice job with how well he can manage all this factory stuff
I do like your skills in building your buildings, but the reason you’re having issues with train traffic is because your train signaling system still needs work. You’re not building enough blocks along your tracks to allow more trains to travel along your tracks at once. I discovered that you need to segment your straight tracks into evenly-spaced blocks and not build said signals just at intersections. Otherwise, your system will just treat one huge length of track as one block and only allow one train through at a time.
[Kibitz]: "And now we'll NEEEEEEEEEEEEEVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER have Nuclear issues again..."
*puffs a large inhaler labeled "Copium"*
I feel like the last 5 videos of ImKibitz that I've watched have been damage control for the nuclear reactor setup. I think it was:
1. Creating the bigger reactor setup.
2. Fixing the pipes after the update.
3. Increasing the plastic production
4. Finding out that the drones were gummed up after the throughput test.
5. This video
I solved the problem with the track curves by splitting the 90° curve into two 45° curves. The 45° module is then as long as the minimum length of the track dictates, i.e. 1.5 foundations long.
2:45 THANK YOU PAST KIBS!!
Ever thought of having two or three connections to everything to make sure that when you unplug it you don't accidentally start a meltdown without knowing
"Our nuclear power plant won't have any problems in the future."
Kibitz, I have a bridge to sell you.
You factories are giving me so many ideas to make my own factory and save game fun to play again with as I just didn't know what to do after reaching the end so I am going to remake and redesign everything without Starting over with a new save 🙂
Wow, just wow. Absolutely amazing. I'm going to have to go back and catch the series from the beginning. Are your mods listed somewhere?
"i mistakenly disconnected a power wire and one of my factories stopped running"
Yup. That's this game in a nutshell.
So by the start what I'm getting is some byproduct of the nuclear power is being used in the battery production? Or something that is a byproduct to run the nuclear power? Sounds like how I'd set things up lol
Loving the music on Spotify
Very nice work Kibitz, looking good.
"We never have to worry about power problems again!"
We all wish that was true.
i JUST had the same problem with curves ...
almost no 90 degree curve would fit, not even when i had built a short straight at each end.
simple fix (for me) : building 2x45 instead of 1x90 degrees !!!
btw1: in older versions, this problem existed too (with the same fix), but usually only for the fourth quarter of a circle/roundabout, while a single quarter between two straights (or the first three quarters of a circle) would accept 90 degree turns without problems.
btw2: having more shorter 45 degree curves also helps building switches after some time ago they started prohibiting switches next to each other (which was a good decision since in those old versions this was quite buggy anyway)
Setup so nice i whish i could like the video twice
I see you ran into the same problem I did with my rails they really need to add a grid systems for rails to help prevent this
Noob question, started satisfactory on the weekend on green fields map. Which map is this here in the video and should I switch for a long game? Don't want to restart too often
for the period the trains are loading, use an industrial storage container as a buffer, and hook up both of the container's outputs to the station, that way it can double feed two 780 belts to make up for the time the station is loading, hopefully. Not tried it myself, but it might make all the difference.
it should work if the total docking time of a station is less than half of realtime, and with trains needing to brake and enter and leave and accelerate, that is almost guaranteed even if they follow each other pretty quickly. and even if you still miss a few seconds, it will be much less than half a minute loss from the train being docked.
This is all really cool, but it is wild overkill for sure. Regardless it is great entertainment and very informative .
The tumbnail is PERFECT, it just looks tasty hmmmmmmm batteries
Maybe try using billboards or signs as lighting fixtures down by the manufacturers?
This video is basically "When fate tells your world to end but you refuse"
Famous last words: "Now for sure, this time, never gonna have a nuclear issue again" 18:35
If you're limited to 2 train cars then just build multiple trains
He addressed this. He is limited by how fast those cars can load and unload, and the distance between stations. He can only get 2 trains, each with 2 cars. He tried 3 and 4 trains, but they backed up and blocked a different train going to the other bigger station.
6:06 thats why you always have a industrial storage bin with one belt input and then two outputs to both inputs on the freight station. That makes a buffer that wont shut down the system.
with this the belts and then machines will get saturated and stop
You need to make more satisfactory videos
I just cant stop watching
hey kibitz did you know that a new version of a very high quality modpack just came out, its called satisfactory plus and it is filled to the brim with custome stuff and mods which are perfectly integrated into each other, i just would love to see you playing it (maybe not now but as a little break sometime?)
Lovin the vids man
Great job Kibz!
i love how he says smile
One of the best ways to get time sens is to watch the fuel amount go down down down UP! down down! ;D
The setup of the assemblers looks a lot like a chef's kitchen, am I right?
kibbitz always finds ways to fix it!
You should add a counter to your base that says:
"X days without a nuclear disaster".
Then you update it based on real life days. 😅
How about you go back to old buildings and see if you can improve them with the new stuff? Pretty up the nuclear plant a bit. Those curved ceilings look awesome.
Can you explain how do you plan your constructions ?
It is always so clean... When I start a new stuff it always get messy really quick xD
you should make the ceiling higher
yay new video!
In order to connect those two train platforms you have to place the rail from the one direction first, then you can place the train platform connected to it.
i'm always annoyed how train stations are built, because i usually build my train network in the direction in which trains drive, thus would need to place the rail first, then the platforms, then the station itself, and then more rails. but instead, the game forces me to build a dummy rail first, then the exit rail, and then replace the temp rail (backwards) with station and platforms :-(
@@Anson_AKB I just build rail into the general vicinity of where I need it, then build out a place for the station, then the station, then build the rail up to it. and since I use locomotives on each end of the trains, I don't have to worry about going further than that.
I like putting all of my belts under the floor to hide the spaghetti
I am almost done setting up a factory that will produce 500 Battery, 800 Plastic, 325 Al Sheets/m. And I am getting a little overwhelmed by it, this is pretty much twice the work im doing I cant imagine haha
Dude plays the game like it's his job or something. Oh wait.... 😆
This whole season is literally:
We fixed the nuclear problem .... oh no we didnt 😅
idea: instead of platforms for the catwalks roof do glass and have red lights on top
Delivering critical supplies by means of transport which rely on energy is a recipe for disaster.
Wise satisfactory engineers know that conveyor belts are better for such job.
Our train is glitched in a 70 hour game. Train won't dock in one station and one station is on the map in a whole different place then where it actually is, is this a known glitch? Love your video's!
Man, contrast this awesome transparency with how blizzard does things lately haha love this company!
The issues with building train tracks has been reported over 2 years ago. I necro'd that report stating as such, that it is still a serious issue. I don't trust the devs to get it fixed when it's been this long. But it'll be good if they do get it done by 1.0.
*_temp fix_*_ for 90 degrees being "sharp corners": _*_build 2x45 instead !_*
although that mathematically should create the same curve or (if the midpoint can't be hit exactly) even one slightly wider and one slightly tighter curve, both of those 45 degree curves are possible, and together will fit a non-fitting 90 degree curve.
additional bonus: one more location for signals, or giving some space between switches which may not touch each other.
we love batteries
