Tolarian Community College have you considered colfenors urn to subvert boardwipes?
If you could make a deck tech about Yeva, Nature’s Herald, that would be really cool in my opinion. She gives green decks alot of utility and some much needed instant speed interactions.
i have never seen anyone with a good atogatog deck, a deck tech would be cool
Do a deck tech of one of my favorites Harobi, Deaths Wail.
Two more haste granting lands: Flamekin Village and Hall of the Bandit Lord. Though I can understand if you want to minimize the nonbasics.
"One thing Zacama doesn't do for you is draw. Doubtless because her arms are too short."
genius.
That fez in your profile picture... Perfection!
"I've got a big head, and little arms!"
@@lordgiblets7585 Three big heads, and little arms. :B
Za-Comma
Exactly
Yeah... accent on the second “a,” the set has Latin American historical themes so I think we can assume a Spanish like pronunciation to many of the names.
bear in mind that in between, he pronounced it this way but then went back to "let me pronounce it wrong again"
Someone had to say it!
A VT yeah I almost screamed at the screen every time he said zacama😑
Lifecrafter's Bestiary. In other words, someone who uses a Pokedex to have models for their still life artwork.
I love how so many people agree that it’s a Pokédex
I dont often comment on videos but I'm always happy to give you one. Love the topics, love the quality, and love the personality, Prof. I've spent so many hours watching you rant on about this deck or that one. You help keep magic exciting for me
Zah Ka Ma
I played Zacama as my first EDH deck. My main goal was to get enough manato make Zacama absolutely broken, then cast a bunch of other bombs to have multiple threats, then remove theirs with Zacama. It's fun seeing a Vorinclex let you cast Zacama, then letting Avacyn, Angel of hope out of your hand. They don't know which threat to take care of. If they take out Zacama, it comes out again with even more potential than before.
I'm so glad you make deck techs like this one. I already have one commander deck but I'm looking to build another one and these are a great place to start!
Perfect timing! I was just digging thru old TCC videos to get my fix!
I know it's probably one of the simplest to build, but I'd LOVE to see more Gishath builds.
I love it when you make commander guides!! They're amazing and you describe everything so passionately. Thank you professor!!! Now, how about a 4 color deck?
I love Zacama as part of the 99 in my Jodah deck.
Literally same lmao
This guy gets it.. I don't anymore cause I rebuilt gishath...but yea
Jodah gets targeted so fucking hard..
TheSPARTANusm god damn but it's true. Can't do anything except in 1v1 cause then MAYBE he won't get deleted immediately
Well done. I am constantly learning and gathering enjoyment from your EDH / Commander deck guides. Again, well done.
I was exciting to see this video since I want to build a Zacama deck myself. I was expecting more of a Dino tribal build, but this was quite interesting!
Wow! I had built an EDH around Zacama but nothing like this! My deck is good, but this deck looks REALLY GOOD! I look forward to building a second Zacama Commander deck! Thank you Brian for uploading and sharing your genius!
Zackama?
I've had a Zacama deck for a couple of months now and have recently been looking to beef it up a lot, this video is just what I was looking for!
MY FAVORITE CARD YESSSSSSSSSS. prof u have gifted me life
Hey prof, I love it when you do more competitive deck techs. It would be awesome if you did one for Paradox Scepter Thrasios, Razakats, or Breya Consultation
One of my favorite decks. Seeing another's build and tech gives me ideas to update my build with. I love my Dino Tribal deck.
Also Professor you pronounced Zacama two different ways, the second way and more often used one was right
I've played Zacama quite a bit and had a lot of similar ideas as shown in this video. Temur Sabertooth is obviously THE card in this deck, especially with mana-doublers, the "draw as many cards as your creature has power"-cards are quite strong as well. What I am missing in this video is disruption. If you want to build the deck as good as possible, it's super important (in my opinion) to disrupt your opponent. And you can even use (and abuse) white! Play Aven Mindcensor, Thalia (both actually) etc. and Armageddon-effects. Why? Well, you can eaily get all your lands back into play through several cards (splendid reclamation, world shaper etc. for all the lands, life from the loam, crucible etc. for continuous lands). Also if Zacama is on the field and starts demolishing things and you play an armageddon-effect, you WILL win. This strategy won't fit into any playgroup, the more casual groups will simply get destroyed, but if your meta is strong enough, you can play it and it will feel good :D you can whisper me for a decklist if interested ^^
I personally prefer Gishath as my Dino commander, but Zacama is an amazingly powerful choice as well!
Well, Gishath is Dinosaur tribal. Zacama is a ramp combo deck. They do two completely different things. Only thing in common they have is that they are both dinosaurs in the same colors.
I know that they are very different decks, both of which are incredibly fun to play, but Gishath will always be my #1 dino! 😁
Affinity For Commander oh yeah Dino Dad for life!
Agreed, Zacama is a fun part of the 99 in Gishath, especially when he comes out free via Gishath's trigger.
Dino Commanders Unite! I use a Zetalpatron deck #DinoBash
I'm so happy my favorite MTG specialist made a video about my favorite Commander ever!
Oh man this deck is so insanely fun. Thank you for showing me this.
These videos always make me smile prof please keep up the great work :) and if I may ask, could we see a tech on Omnath Locust of Mana as he is my current favorite commander and I would love to compare lists :)
Great vid, keep up the good work! For Naya- Commanders I personally prefer Uril, the Miststalker, but Zacama looks great too. With the release of Commander 2018 I was planning on building both a Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow and a Tuvasa the Sunlit deck. I would love to see your take on both of these! For Tuvasa in particular I was thinking a Pillowfort/Superfriends deck could be fun, but I'm open to other ideas.
I just want to say that I'm really digging this series. Most other commander deck tech videos are too dry and simply list the componants. I feel the enthusiasm and "narrative" of the decks with your approach. You give enough description to give us the playstyle, but leaving the fine details for us to decide on our own. Bravo.
My request is for a Queen Marchesa politics deck.
Also, I decided to like/comment more thanks to your "How to help youtuber's" video. Behold, the fruit of your efforts! You aren't just shouting into the void Prof. We are listening.
You might also like to watch Jumbo commander and tune in to the command zone for their deck techs. I always find them entertaining.
Great video. I went big Ol Timmy with mine and made it dino tribal, but I'm now considering adding those sick combos!
Mana doubler mana ramp storm Zacama!!! Great tech. Naya lands aren't to be trifled with.
YES, I was just thinking of building a Zacama Commander! Thank you!!
With Ravnica around the corner, I would love for you to do a series of commander decks based on each guild.
I found it that it's pretty effective to just play like 30 ramp spells. Your opponents just can't keep up if you can cast Zacama every turn.
Nice to see my Commander getting some love in the CZcams community. Ixalan is fantastic block for Commander, I won't have any arguments to the contrary.
Jurassic Park is one of my favorite movies of all time, so naturally I'm trying to build dinosaur Yugioh and MTG decks. This video helped a lot! My quest still continues.
Amazing video as always! Though I am definitely too young to work a job, so I would appreciate it if you made a budget commander, or standard deck tech video.
I agree on the budget idea. I like having a variety (currently 40-50 decks) and have most of them around the $50-100 mark. I'd rather have fun differences than a few $2000 decks lol
I actually make some $25 decks and they're pretty good.
Yea, I like your spirit. :-) It is more fun this way.
Dude with commander having the cheap deck at the table means you're gonna fly under everyone's radar so don't be ashamed to raid the 5 cent bin at your lgs and find some amazing value cards there that'll blindside hour opponents. Resources like Scryfall will help you find cards with desired effects, and podcasts like the commanders brew have budget deck techs and the command zone is a good overall resource and has underrated cards and budget brew episodes
Hey man go check out the channel The Commander’s Quarters he’s got some amazing decks for commander cheap!!! I was once in the position you were too!
Literally yelling zuh-cah-mah at the screen lol
Hi Professor,
I would really like to see your take on a Horde of Notions deck or a blinking matters deck. Thanks and keep up the great work. Your videos are very helpful and fun to watch. Kudos!
Ooh yeah I definitely second Horde of Notions!
Bravo Zulu on the deck. Selvala Brostorm (cEDH) is definitely a solid source of inspiration for a semi-casual deck like this.
For a more competitive variation on this deck, I'd like to point out Food Chain as a viable path.
By using Food Chain (with Eternal Scourge and/or Squee the Immortal), you can turn your infinite creature only mana into actual infinite mana (due to Zacama's ETB ability).
White's ability to find enchantments can make this prospect quite viable.
Certainly worth some examination.
I would love a deck-tech for the new Esper-zombie-commander, Varina Lich Queen. I think she has a lot of potential
I'd be interested to see what you have to say on the topic of a Kruphix Commander deck, Prof. Great video as always!
I’d love to see your deck list idea for a Skythiryx, the Blight Dragon. Skittles has always been one of my favorites.
I would love to see you look at varina and what white could bring to zombies beyond anointed procession.
Awesome Deck Tech! Hope to see many more.
I'd love to see you build a Yuriko, The Tiger's Shadow deck, prof! She seems like a lot of shenanigans, and I know you love Dimir colors.
We need that deck tech for Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. I think she's so much value and she's easily overshadowed by the other commanders in the precons this year.
Yes! Ive been waiting for a Zacama deck tech on tcc!
My friend pulled it from a pack, and this should help a lot!
This looks incredibly fun, and even a little similar to my Ramos, Dragon Engine deck. I'd love to see you play it on Game Knights.
This was a very appreciated video, one of my favorite dinosaurs. I have a weird and rather stupid idea, but would you be interested in making a Queen Marchesa tokens based commander deck?
Wow, seems like a fun list Prof! It's interesting to note that I play a Dinosaur Tribal Commander deck and it's so drastically different from this one! That's why I love MTG and Commander specifically ^^. The possibilities are endless!
I love how loads of the green cards listed here were in faceless menace
I've been experimenting with an Animar, Soul of the Elements deck. Love to see your take on that.
Love your truck decks! I’d love to see your version of an angel themed deck built around Shalia voice of plenty. I’ve built one and it can be powerful. It far from tier one.
I would love to see your take on a Locust God edh deck. I am sure there are some wonderful busted ideas you would come up with.
Always love these deck techs!

"Also it wins"
Sick burns bro.
That comment was a bolt to my heart.
Awesome! I'd love to see a Scarab God deck sometime. Well costed 5/5 with great recursion and zombie synergy? Count me in!
I would love to see a Queen Marchesa deck tech. I always hear about her Grixis twin, The Black Rose. But, I feel the Queen herself has been given a diservice in light of her coronation! She is still a rocking Matriarch and her army of loyal subordinates need a spotlight!
Hey Prof! I would really like to see your take on whatever your favorite Simic commander is. I have had bad luck building simic so far and wouldn’t mind seeing what you can come up with!
Hey Professor, I'd love to see a few pauper commander deck techs. Specifically ones that don't feel like highschool kitchen table magic where each players turn feels like playing a creature and passing since no good attacks are available.
As per the vote for next commander, Yuriko seems to be overall the favorite from C18 and I would love to see your take on her
Awesome big mana dino deck tech. A timmy deck modified to be competitive. I remember seeing you talk about werewolves on twitter abit and would love to see that deck tech.
Thanks for the tech Prof, will probably proxy this one up, since it looks a bit out of my budget, but damn it looks awesome
Yes love these Prof, keep em coming!
Really like the video. For me it's a great guide as I'm not good at deckbuilding. Personally, I would love to see your take on Kaho, Minamo Historian.
P.S. Have a nice day, Prof. :)
I would very much like to see your take on a Brago King Eternal deck. Maybe some blink value, or a stax build.
Given that I'd gotten all six elder dinosaurs when I bought a Rivals of Ixalan booster box, I'll have to make a list of all the cards you mentioned in this video to toss into it.
I run Winter's Night in my Zacama deck with a handful of snow lands included, getting out Zacama usually around turn 4 and being able to combo off on the same turn with her untap ability paired with Winter's Night. It's a quirky little combo.
So, I've been trying to get a list together for a nazahn equipment deck. I'd love to see you tackle that.
Thanks, great one! It’d be cool if you linked a decklist so I could pick this up. A cardKingdom affiliate link for it would be fair, imo
High Market, Geier Reach Sanitarium, Mikokoro and Arch of Orazca are great lands for when you are going off.
Great video as usual prof!
Great video professor!
I'd love to see a deck tech on a dragon themed deck besides Ur and Scion of the Ur Dragon. Or maybe ways to make the precon dragon commander even better?
I've been running a similar Zacama build since March and let me just add a few includes. Absolutely want an Amulet of Vigor in the deck, it makes all of the ramp that puts things to the battlefield tapped even better. Panharmonicon is great because we get to untap twice. Traverse the Ulvenwald is great because early it can be used for cheap ramp if for some reason you fall behind (fwiw, I've never been behind on lands in this deck EVER) whereas it can be used to go get Temur Sabretooth or even just a good utility land later (like slayers' stronghold or kessig wolf run). Mwonvuli Acid Moss is fun because it's spot land destruction plus ramp. Recursion in the form of Emeria Shepherd is great because it's landfall recursion. And finally, while tireless tracker is OK, wouldn't you rather just draw off those lands coming in from Horn of Greed or Nissa, Vital Force? I would. Lastly, I include Sensei's Divining Top because it's useful enough on its own but gets even better with Oracle of Mul Daya/Courser of Kruphix.
Try doing a deck tech on Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. I think it would be a fun challenge for you and it's my first commander so I'm curious to see what you can do with her
I used to play storm/combo Melek so I'm making this type of deck instead of Gishath... but hopefully keeping some dinos in for the fun. Thanks!
Glad I found this I pulled a foiled one from a standard showdown pack
I had just built this exact list, this is buck wild that less than a week after I built a very similar deck
I built more focused on a combo storm/high tide but I love the deck. I'll have to tryout some of the draw your running as that's my biggest issue as of right now with the deck
I played lots of games with her, and 2 things that are just awesome and must with her. Panharmonichon and some Dosan effect. Specially since you run combo for protection. Other then that, pretty nifty deck :)
Really cool deck! Thank you for making the video! Nice production, man.
I think an Edric EDH deck would be a cool idea for you to do a video on, as the deck has to be political and what not.
Pretty sure it's ZA-CA-MAAAA!!! ;) Awesome tech, Prof. I would love to hear your theories regarding Brudiclad, please. Or perhaps an older Legendary that maybe didn't quite have all the right pieces at the time, but could be much more powerful now--no particular one on my mind at the moment. Thx!
I run the Selvala Brostorm, and let me just say it is amazingly fun!
Get all the mana! I dig it
I'll have to make note of all those cheap mana ramp cards too
Have you thought about doing a deck tech for Gahiji, the Honored One?
He's another fun and customizable Naya commander that's sure to spice up any game he's in
I would LOVE to see a Rhys, the Redeemed Selesnya Tokens build!
Prof, I just want you to teach a class at my university in magic. I know it will never happen, but a boy can dream
Great video, maybe next time u could do Tishana or Queen Marchasa
great vid doc! I would like to see a Zendruu edh deck. :)
Great video, as always. Do you have a link for this decklist? I see one for the deck that inspired the Zacama deck, but not for Zacama itself. It would be helpful to have both.
Shes a bit of an old card but I've been trying to build a Control deck but don't exactly know what i'm doing (i'm a bit new to the game) so what I would like to see a future EDH Deck tech on is, Merieke Ri Berit as commander for a type of creature control/Field control deck. Looking forward to the next Deck tech
I would love to hear you about a Jeleva Mill deck! It would be awesome!
Great video. Thanks Prof!
My Zucama build is more tribal themed. I got a few card ideas still, thanks!
If you make a guide for korlash heir to blackblade I'm taking that to the comp tournament
My wife bought me a set booster pack from streets of New capenna for Christmas, and I ended up getting 2 rares and zacama! I don't really know how that happened as zacama is from a different set, but I'm not complaining!
I would love to see a control build for meren of clan nel toth or a build of xantcha sleeper agent from the new C18 deck.
sorry professor, but my land waifu is Omnath, locus of rage and my dino lord Gistath.
Seems fun anyways.
I’d be interested in your guide to Doran, the Siege Tower!
Xantcha deck next! Such a great character from mtg history and fun commander
I've been running a Animar Commander with eldrazi and artifact creature I was curious how you would run him
