This is probably the best looking car I've seen brought to market in the last 20 years. So sick of all the supercar offerings trying to make their cars look like stealth fighters with all the hard angles in the body. This car has the most beautiful curvature I've seen in a very long time.
Save for the wheels, which are overdone, I'd agree. Really need to see it with some elegant 5-spoke wheels, for example
Yes, just watched the Lambo profile by The Car Wizard the other day and that thing's obnoxious. This is still trying to be pretty.
100%. It's stunningly beautiful.
For me it's the De Tomaso P72, this is pretty nice though.
Reminds me a bit of the F430 which is also gorgeous and a future classic, if it isn't already. The only mistake here are the black rims which are a huge "no no" in my book and I'm sick of seeing those on every car.
Jay is a true auto enthusiast, and if he was impressed and pleasantly surprised with the MC20, that's a damn good endorsement in my book.
You should look into your statement more.
“Pleasantly surprised” for a $200k+ car is not good enough.
Jay is always nice even if he hates the car.
This video was an advertisement for the car. Jay has to be complimentary otherwise he wouldn't get any more Maseratis to review. The true test will be if Jay buys one.

One of the nicest car designs I’ve seen in a while! Less is more for sure on this design. Knocked it out of the park . My new dream car.
2 seconds into the video and I’m ready to count how many times jay says “back in my day 100hp was like woah!”
I'm waiting for Jay to mention his Mclaren F1 :)
He's blessed to have been along for the ride, not that he doesn't have modern high horsepower cars or is unfamiliar.
Awesome design, I'm definitely going to get one, as soon as I can afford the 1/30 scale model.
Go all out: 1/18!!
@@davidfuith377 he cant even afford the 1:18 nor even 1:24🤣😃
1:64, maybe…
That’s .4 per inch, if you go 1/20th you could probably make a gocart and drive it! Haaaa! Funniest comment I’ve seen!
Me as well!
"I like to drive my cars." Jay Leno (unlike a lot of collectors, lol)
Thanks Captain Obvious. No one caught that. I mean there is NO other possiple meaning but maybe an organ grinder monkey didn't catch it.
I hate to admit it I have three cars in my car collection one of them I have not driven in 15 years the other I have not driven in 10 years the other I have never driven and I have a motorcycle I have not rode in 10 years. But they are literally pieces of art to me, I know that may sound stupid but I have a 1970 Dodge Challenger RT 440 magnum pistol grip all original, 1970 Camaro SS 396 all original numbers matching and a 1955 Chevy nomad all original V-8 motor three on the tree, I keep them in my shop they’re nice and clean I start them regularly I keep them covered most of the time and then I uncover them so look at them or to show them to people and they’re just so beautiful honestly tell myself I’m going to drive them and then I end up just enjoying them as a piece of artwork. I know most people would consider this a complete waste and I do plan on getting them out on the road and driving them again and enjoying them soon. My motorcycle is nothing special it’s a 2007 Suzuki Blvd. but it is a beautiful blue color lots of chrome less than 800 miles I definitely need to drive my cars and ride my bike, I’ve been thinking once I move out of Silicon Valley.
@BillsButt - Jay got alot across with few words. You said little with lots of words.
I don't want proles looking at my car it ruins the paint
@@itsruf1 but of course yours are just perfect in every sense, after all, that's what YT is all about anyway -- trying to get an A from you
I won't be surprised if Jay buys one of these. Right up his alley.
I wonder how many cars Jay owns? I couldn't really tell if he loved it or not...
Beautiful design, nice subtle but still aggressive lines. Love the tried and tested V6 with the dual plugs. Probably one of the last of the few internally combustion super cars (or any car). Hats off to Maserati, and thank you Jay.
It is so ridiculous that suoercars are going electric. It doesn’t save any gas. The batteries will go bad from disuse.
Didn't you hear what Jay said? It has TWELVE plugs per cylinder...
@@dclipper8052 That what i heard to????!!!!
At twice the price , I do not see how it will sell over a Corvette . Plus you have the quality issue . Also I hate all black interior, A BIG BLACK HOLE !
@@rayRay-pw6gz The Corvette looks like it was designed by ADHD 12-year-olds whereas this is a proper respectable looking car. I doubt Maserati is aiming too closely at the Corvette crowd.
10:46 'going through a set of tires every weekend gets a little expensive' let's you know that Jay hasn't lost touch with reality ... no matter how much $$ he has in the bank or the number of cars in his garage. Lovely car and, as always, nice interview and can review.
I imagine Jay probably can hear his dad's voice in his head saying, "How much?".
you don't get rich by spending your money, it's the penny pinchers that make it
@@kemicbi "You can't spend yourself rich."
Come on now. Jay doesn't pay for tires.
@@kemicbi Yes but are they HAPPY??
This poor guy is flat footed on all of Jays jokes. Hilarious.
He's not listening. Too busy thinking of what the next talking point is.
Its almost like he's trying to talk people out of buying one. What a plank of wood. Reminds me of Kristen Stewart.
👍🏽I’ve watched the review of this MC20 with other automotive channels but it’s always refreshing to hear what The Godfather Jay Leno thoughts 💭 are 🏁🏁
This is the first Maserati since the MC-12 that is actually gorgeous.
I don't know if ide call the MC-12 gorgeous. It looked mean, but not beautiful. This car here reminds me of the Ascari A10 and the Ferrari 458
@@SieTeppischfresser I've seen the MC12 in person a few times, pictures do it no justice. It's gorgeous... Except for the back, basically looks like a basic GT1 race car.
@@Dinosaurchickin That is a nice car...I think I'm jaded, I live in an area where I see a lot of those.
@@Dinosaurchickin I didn't like the GranTurismo until I saw one in person. They're way better looking than they appear in photos.
Uhh GranTurismo???
That's a stunning car. I'd drive it everyday
The new Maserati MC20 is an ASTONISHINGLY pretty sportscar. People make the mistake of comparing it to modern supercars... Its a modern classy sportscar. And as such, its glorious.
Yeah, $40K sports car performance, priced at $240K like some unicorn supercar.
>sports car
@@idokwatcher2062
Uhm, yes.... Not everybody cares about numerical values. People will buy a 2 million dollar Patek Phillipe even if it doesnt tell the time any better than a 10 buck plastic watch.
What a gorgeous sport car in the best old School tradition.
And the Classic MASERATI, standing beside this Brand new Model, still looks modern, impressive and highly desirable.
Thank you Jay for this fabulous Video and congratulations to the Maserati representative.
He truly knew his vehicle from head to toes.
1.000 Thanks,
That shot of the car starting at 16:35 driving over the bridge with the flowering trees in the background is awesome. Such a beautiful design.
quite simply the best looking car on the market. Would only need it to be 8/10 as good to drive as other supercars to justify a purchase but pretty much every car reviewer is loving how it drives as well. home run from Maserati and the first Maserati I would consider buying.
lol... yeah, if it only started every morning. Maserati is a piece of crap

@@seanmac5093 Still in the 80's are we? Wake up and read reviews today of Maserati,cl own.
The Granturismo was superbe. But yes, best Maserati since MC12. And that was a limited edition
@@Mr995pippo ahh yes, I overlooked the granturismo here. the GT was a solid car and I definitely see the appeal but I always gravitated toward its competitors (f type r, 911, vantage, m8) as they were all faster with better interiors and the vantage and m8 were better looking in my eyes although the GT was very good looking car as well.... Excited for the new GT mostly bc of this mc20... if they can capture some of the mc20 magic, put in 550ish hp and a better sounding form of the nettuno engine it could be a game changer in that 150K car range... regardless I think we can all agree that Maserati is back to being a real contender after making boring and slow sedans with cheap lease deals for renters who were trying to look rich and impress some naive thirst traps on IG! (can you tell I hate the Ghibli? lol)
Tremec needs to give Jay a lifetime supply of free transmissions. He's their best advertising.
Even though this car is way out of my league, I absolutely love it! The looks are breathtaking and not overdone. Comfort, handling and more than adequate power. Nothing overstated, everything seems so well balanced. I have to put this car at the top of my list of cars I would love to own but never will. I'm so impressed! Excellent Job!
Hey Maserati are the Kings of depreciation, so maybe someday… Although I have a feeling the MC20 will hold it’s value pretty well
@@moneymikz this is no quattroporte or granturismo. With everything going electric in a few years, its value will stay high
That car is drop dead gorgeous, literally the perfect daily driver supercar even if it isn't completely perfect.
It's not a supercar daily driver. The NSX is, but not that one. Still a great automobile.
It’s okay… relax lol
Nothing says perfect like imperfection.
@@NiceCapeHelpVids what me? I am super relax. Always.
It looks pretty decent! But I prefer the design of the McLaren 765LT.
16:45. Beautiful shot of the car cruising past what looks like cherry blossom. Great design. Well done Maserati 👍
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful car. Maserati got it right.
This car looks so so much better in person. It’s stunning! I saw it recently during my visit to dealership for service.
I'd love to drive one! Do you own a Maserati?
Wasn’t very big Maserati fan,But I love what they’re doing this is a sexy car. Kudos to Maserati and there future ahead!
Their cars before this one all had quite an uninspiring design.
@@to_discover_life I disagree 100%
I love the 2013 Granturismo MC Sportline, and happen to find it pretty inspiring for a daily driver
The Maserati MC12 in white and blue was a LeMans race car that is one of the most gorgeous race cars ever made.
Unfortunately,it did'nt love staying on the race track at speed but they fixed that later.
Regardless, this car looks alot like that MC12 ,especially in the front and that's a great thing.
Honestly,I saw that Maserati MC12 in white and blue and fell completely in love with it at first sight.
Thanks to Maserati,Mr.Peffer and to Mr Leno for bringing us this new beautiful new car to positively envy over.
No cheese grater grill anywhere.awesome.
MC 12 all over it....so damn sweet
The CLASSIC Maserati on this video, was parked just in fron of my house in north London late 60s, and the asking price was 1.500 uk sterling. That night I couldn`t sleep thinking if I could just go for it, in the morning it just wasen`t there eny longer. What a pity, it came back to my mind quite a few times, even today when I looked at this video brought back lovely and at the same time sad memories. Thanks a lot Jay.
You can take this Maserati to any supercar/hypercar car meet and get mass respect. Such a beautifully done car Maserati. Congrats!
Love the blooper at 2:17 where Leno says, "This is a V6, 3 liter, twin turbo, 12 spark plugs PER cylinder, which is sort of a Maserati tradition." LOL
I hope 72 spark plugs is enough. 😉
That was exactly what I was thinking about 🥺
LOL
Beautiful car, the guest seems a nice guy but I think he has more of a sales background than engineering, he was giving Jay the sales pitch, infotainment system, colour options, laser etched alcantara
Um, I hate to break it to you, but Jay is now and has always been a shill. Like it or not, most of his vids are slickly disguised commercials. Just like his son, Doug Demuro. Cheers regardless.
I can’t wait to see what Maserati has in store for the Granturismo!
At this point I already know when the good ol “Toothbrush, Toothpaste” joke is coming when they open the front hood compartment. 😂😂 infact I use it now lmao

Jay is so right about the color . The blue makes the car look less expensive to me.
Maserati dude should be a little more easygoing, almost freaked out when Jay made a joke about the front trunk.
Lol the veins nearly popped on his head haha! when Jay mentioned he liked not being bombarded with lap times and distractions on the dash. He was like stop man, we have all that. Please stop, I was supposed to talk about how damn smart it is! He also had to bite his tongue Hard when Jay mentioned the word compromise. Flexible Jay not compromised. Then in the car he went into full android mode.
This car reminds me a little of the Jaguar F Type and the 918 Spyder. Both great looking cars. At first I was not sure about the design but this color really makes the car pop. It's a car design that is going to age like fine fine wine no doubt.
🤤This is the prettiest new car you've featured this year. On another note, restoration blog???? Please! And some more vintage vehicles.
Man I’ve been waiting for this review. A super car we can ride everyday that isn’t a Porsche! Looks fantastic as well. Love it in som light blue colors I’ve seen.
“…bring a toothbrush…”😂😂! That being said, this is one BEAUTIFUL car. Reminiscent of the Lamborghini Maura from the side profile 😍👍🏽
I love listening to jay ask questions that the guest has already answered twice within the last sentence or two of conversation. Really let’s you know he’s listening to the other person… must have developed from the years of interviewing mindless celebrities 🤣

Bill was one of the nicest and best presenters that Jay has had on his show and he’s had many good ones. The car was one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen. Maserati did in design what Ferrari had been trying to accomplish with the 458 and they did it better.
You don't think the Roma is attractive?
@@iraeich I do think the Roma ranks as one of the most beautiful cars in the world, but they are two different types of cars. The Roma is a front engine of course, along the same lines as the Aston Martin DB10 (also one of the most beautiful cars in the world), while the 458 and Maserati are mid-engine which just makes them different. I guess I should clarify - the Maserati is one of the most beautiful mid-engine cars I've ever seen. I have a long list of the "most beautiful cars in the world." The Roma is definitely near the top.
Maserati always doing the most beautiful cars around, just remember the Quattroporte 5, Gran Turismo and now this jewel 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Love this car. Hope the price goes down in a couple years so I can snag one, but that ain’t gonna happen. This car will only go up. Just beautiful.
Really gives me Italian corvette c8 vibes. The trunk in the back and the overall styling/comfort over being a hardcore track toy. Looks like a great car, and i think it might be the only car in this segment with the butterfly doors.

Got behind a MC20 in Blu Infinito. They must of been on a test drive. My god, what a beautiful car. And the exhaust notes. Priceless. Looks like Maserati hit the mark on this one👍
Hopefully this pulls Maserati out of the self induced position of a "discount premium" brand due to the terrible resale values and lease discounts. Great looking car and clean styling that will age well unlike so many other mid engined (looking at you C8) cars.
It's interesting how it blends modern and classic design. Good-looking car, especially from the front.
