For the amount of money these manufacturers are asking. These trucks need to come with a lifetime bumper to bumper warranty.

You are on to something there. If these truck companies want to have higher prices, they need to extend the warranties to match the longer financing years. Who wants to have a note on a truck with no powertrain warranty?

Payload 1482 (sure wanted every option), max towing (reasonably- 8800-9800lbs is most ill do), with a 5.7 box. And yes, adding a 4" lift with 35s, fox shocks, and UCAs, My 3.92 gearing should be fine with that. Also swapping deluxe cloth seats for newly padded leather / vented seats. Added OEM tow hooks and aftermarket hidden winch system. Its a baby powerwagon, but with a 33gal tank

A lot of comments on truck review videos is about the price of new trucks. They are certainly very expensive, especially in the higher trim levels, but these trucks are far more capable than the trucks of 50 years ago. They didn’t have crew cabs and the payload and capacity were much lower. I had a 1975 F 250, and it was a great truck. I loved it, especially the four speed with the granny gear, but that truck is not even close to the capability of a 2024 F 250. And back then, getting 100,000 miles out of a truck was rare. Today, these trucks are easily going 200,000 to 300,000 miles. And if someone told me in 1975 that a 3/4 ton truck could get over 10 miles per gallon I would have thought that they were crazy. So yes, they’re a lot more expensive, but they are also a whole lot more capable and they last much longer.

Those prices are nuts...just proves that we have runaway inflation no matter how hard the government is trying to hide that fact. Plus the interest rates!?? These trucks are becoming unreachable for average people.
Ram is also alienating a lot of their loyal buyers and truck people in general. People love their V8s for their reliability (i know the HEMI had issues but this Hurricane is all new and could develop issues, only time will tell) and their longevity, ability to perform unlow low rpm low strain conditions and of course the V8 legacy, many people were brought up being taught that a truck wasnt a real truck unless it had a V8...hopefully it doesnt bite them in the ass too hard. Great video as usual, Andre!

Not true. Some corporations are being greedy and seeing what they can get away with because they know dimwits addicted to fox news will blame the current govt to try to get their own guy elected. I just bought some expensive running shoes and they are the exact same price as they were 5 years ago. The bike industry prices just collapsed because people began refusing to pay the fake prices. Nice race bikes are selling for almost half of what they were a couple months ago.

In the US, especially with American name brands,, the reason prices are going up is because of a huge inflation (even thought the gov says its not) and auto unions.

Unions didn't raise the price of vehicle. Union labor accounts for an average of 4% of vehicle cost. The greed of auto companies and inflation are causing the price hikes. Ford has recorded record profit, even after us auto workers got our raise and everything else with this strike.

@@christophernoe5367 It's not 4%, that's just a fudgy number the UAW claims. Labor costs are probably several times that. Also, keep in mind that part of Ford's "record" profit goes to you, the autoworkers. That's an average of over $10,000 just in profit-sharing bonuses to wage workers. In reality, more money goes to you than is left on table for the company.

We get a tiny amount of that profit, it just goes to show the true scope of the unreal profit auto companies turn. Nothing wrong with that, just don't complain to me about getting a raise and being a part of a group who does what's needed to get fair wages, healthcare, and work safety standards. Plenty of industries deserve better wages, they just don't have a union or other entity to assist in the fight to get better wages so they rarely see meaningful wage increases.

He said it was very high strung, like it was straining to pull that big boat of an SUV around. That means it has to be in high boost a lot. Then, you add Stellantis, who has hiked prices big time on all of their cars, is laying off factory workers, and sales are plummeting.
