Should be able to just push the button on the TV cable, and move the throttle lever to wide open. Darrell is excellent. He and Phil rebuilt my 700R4 that went in my 4.3Runner. Only thing in that setup that worked reliably.
I had always thought cable adjustment was only done with the mount but the button on the cartidge actually has that button as well. This was a pleasant surprise when Darrel showed me. Dave's Transmission is the best, they will be the only place I go for transmission work from here on out!
Great video, should look into a set of RaceRamps. Kinda pricey but I found them to be well worth it when I had to pull the transmission a couple of times.
Just commented on your short about this issue, having the same issue with my van that just had the transmission rebuilt. Edit: the previous guy had it rebuilt with “performance mods” like yours had as well, I’m hoping I can adjust it better without taking it to a shop. It shifts fine if you floor it until you get up to speed but if you just gradually cruise up to speed like in a residential area it holds onto the rpm’s wayyy too long for me
Yeah that sounds like the TV cable to me. One of the fixes was using a tension spring that my transmission guy tossed on. Having that little bit of tension at all times helped significantly. I don't know how it works but it worked 😆
At 27 minutes I explain all of things I had to do to get the trans all dialed in and shifting great. The buzzing was nothing more than the aftermarket dip stick not being accurate. I kept adding fluid and the buzz slowly went away. I believe the main reason for this is the big aftermarket cooler I have on the transmission. So lesson learned! Hope this helps man!
@@DadModsMedia thanks yes I just finished installing a 700r4 and makes a whine just when in drive. I have a total of 8 quarts in it so far. Maybe the same thing is happening to mine with dipstick not being accurate... thanks

I'll have to look at those! Thanks man. I have a set of Quickjacks that I used to toss the transmission back in. Thanks for watching man!
I heard your TV cable has to be level horizontal and your is pointing downward. Please find out.

@@DadModsMedia oh yeah I’m gonna have to add one of those springs, thanks for the reply!
What fixed that whine?
