- In this Guest Pitmaster video I am joined by my friend Cameron Haley of Smoak Town BBQ in Fate, TX to make his delicious Nashville Hot Pork Belly Burnt Ends. Cameron told me that he was influenced by my Nashville Hot Chicken video (see below) and he uses our Honey Hog Hot in the recipe. That made this a really special video to us. Not to mention it is super tasty. You can adjust the heat levels to make this mild to spicy.
Make sure to visit Cameron at Smoak Town BBQ 5 minutes east of Rockwall!

Cam I’m so proud of you bro and honored to be your friend! You’re a BBQ king!!! Matt thanks for having my friend in your an epic host!
My pleasure!!
I love how he wore a glove on one hand but only used that hand to open everything. 🤣
The is the "Flavor enhancement" technique
Saw this video and went to Smoak Town today. Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Cameron obviously takes great care in the proteins and the sides. It was all delicious. You need to go Fate and try this food! Cameron graciously spent time with us talking about his food. It was a great experience and we’ll be back soon.
I appreciate you supporting my man Cameron and his family!
This is definitely a "Not here to make you healthy, here to make you happy." recipe. I have a pork belly in the freezer so I'm going to be happy this weekend!
Keep us posted!
Simple recipe yet complex enough to have a ton of flavor! Looks great! Also love when guest pitmasters are on.
I appreciate that!
Matt is so comfortable in his skin. Relaxed, not threatened by another bbq'er.
are you threatened by other bbq'ers?
My job is easy. Cheers!
Cameron is my 2nd cousin!!! So proud of ya!!!♥️ 4:32
That is awesome. GREAT dude!
@TammyPalmer-k9e that is Awesome! I love genealogy. I do a lot of research and I've realized I know absolutely ZERO of any of my 3rd cousins, although I see them in the databases and see how we're related. Heck, I've realized I Barely know any 1st cousins once removed. My father's uncle is (was) also Elvis's uncle; he was Elvis's dad's brother, and I met my grand uncle and aunt Presley in East Tennessee in 1984. Now I'll catch all kinds of 💩 for saying that, but it's true.
(Let me be clear, I did not meet Elvis in 1984. I met his, and my father's uncle, (my grand uncle) who was a Presley. My dad was the first of 15 children to not be born in Tennessee, and that was almost 100 years ago. 🤣
That looks amazing. I love watching the way Matt and his friends support each other.
I appreciate that. It's fun!
As a physician who loves to cook and smoke - I must say I love your channel. The recipes are spot on...and there is plenty of job security for me with your product! ;)
haha LOVE that, Dr!!!!
Nah fam, smoked meat is nasty and bad for you. Boiled meat is the best way to consume animal proteins. An apple a day and a boiled chicken breast keeps the physicians away.
Pharmacist that also loves to cook and smoke. After they’re done seeing you doc, I’m sure to see them as well!
@@Rav123123 Better living through chemistry. :) Inhibit all the HMG-CoA reductase!!!
@MeatChurchBBQ haha! The joke is on the good, Big pharma, doctor. Fat is your friend! Good fats that is, like pork belly. Now white flour and white sugar are Not your friend, they're the friend of the medical industrial complex.
Here's to Pig Fat! 🍻 😄😋
S/o to Cameron. Congrats chaley! You’re big time now kid! Super proud of you bubba. Also big meat church fan and I too are a ft worth craft beers man. Cheers boys!
I live down the road from them. Their regular pork belly burnt ends are amazing!
So good!
This channel is a must! Best of everything. Thank you.
Thanks!!!!
It was nice of Cameron to actually give ratios and amounts for the oil and sauce!
Those look freakin' incredible! I will be making them! Matt, you (and your guest pitmasters, when on) do it right! Awesome!
👍👍
Thanks for being here!
I gotta try this one! Thanks for another great video Matt!
Please do!
This one is personal to me as I'm friends with Cam; very nice.
That is awesome!
Love these guest series. Thanks Matt!
Appreciate the feedback!
We've lived in Fate for over 10 years now. Love it that FATE is on the rise. Great Show and excellent place to eat!
Love it!!!
WOW!!! My mouth is watering. This is next for me. I love the pork belly burnt ends but this is next level!
I agree.
A wise man once said, the best way to make great grilled chicken breast is to use chicken thighs!
FACTS!!!!!!!!!! I love this. -Matt
😂smart man
I’ve been doing nothing but Meat Church recipes since I got my first Traeger about 2 months ago. I’ve impressed myself lol. I’m gonna have to try this one.
I love that!!!!! -Matt
Awesome collab, love that you are uplifting others with their meat smoking passion! Keep it going!!!
@@josephkim1636 my pleasure!
We cook it plain and add salt n pepper when done. Some pepper as it frys down and salt as it comes out of the oil. Keep it simple. A classic Montana breakfast side.
That’s an insane amount of spices!! Love it!!
It was heavy, and delish!
How have I not had this?! I live in Nashville. Gonna smoke this in the backyard this weekend!
Enjoy!!!!
Great video Matt! That looked so freaking delicious! That’s this weekend for sure.
Thanks for sharing!
Our pleasure!
Does anyone else think Those would make an amazing po boy sandwich? Or am I crazy?
Absolutely would. Maybe cube it down a tad more (maybe decrease fry time) and you'd have a much more manageable bite 🤙
Good idea Jerry!
I got to get over to Fate Texas and try Smoak Town, bbq, I live here in Northeast Texas and tried Slaughters in Sulphur Springs, Texas and Smoke Sessions in Royce City, Texas, the way he cooks that pork belly looks awesome
Please do!
Love the the fact that my guy drinks Miller Lite and so do I, kudos and cheers brother. 🍻
Cheers buddy!

Sounds amazing
It is!
Matt, I really like the guest pitmaster series (any video for that matter)…you bring people that definitely have some game. Thanks! As a future video shoot, have you considered doing a video of your videos? A behind the scene video about what it takes to make a video. I know others have done it and I’ve enjoyed theirs. Would you think about doing one?
Looks awesome. Cheers, Matt! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Cheers!
Matt, thanks for all of the informative videos! I only discovered you about two weeks ago.
I'm here for ya. Check out my library of videos. Thanks for being here!
Another great reason to visit TX.

Wow, they look superb. What not to love about crispy pork belly and spice. ❤
So good!
That’s a very nice treat to go with some ice cold beers
Yessir!
I would love to cook with you Matt. The longer cooks can let the beer catch up with you. Looked like y’all were having fun. I’m definitely trying this one. Thanks and keep em comin.
Sounds good!
Ahhhh, I too dent the can, which could have gotten confusing in that room. But also twisting the top to the left, pro tip! Excellent information here kind sirs, and we haven't even begun to cook! lol
Thanks for being here!
I love the hot honey seasoning too.
I also dent my cans. I had to back when I played softball because our entire team but 1 drank ML. This looks amazing and I just happen to have a PB in my freezer and Hot Honey Hog on my spice shelf. Weekend smoke, coming up!!
That looks awesome! Crazy !
It was!
Smoked, fried pork belly. Wow.... Looks delicious. Great content, Matt.
It's insanely good.
Loved it. Nice one.
Thanks!
Of course this comes out after my pork belly is done on my Traeger. First time ever smoking a meat. Bought my first pellet grill this past Saturday. I used Matt’s “SMOKED PORK BELLY WITH JAPANESE BBQ SAUCE” recipe. It turned out fantastic!
I love that feedback. Thanks!! -Matt
Well, I wish I had a smoker! I’d definitely give this a try! Great video!
Go oven route.
@@MeatChurchBBQ I’ll give it a try. Thanks! 😎👍🏼
Awesome video! I live near Fate and have been going to SmoakTownBBQ since they got there. If you are anywhere near the area, you have to try it. Cameron has a great palate and comes up with some crazy combinations that are delicious.
I love this!!!!
Do you smoke with the fat side up? Also is that considered the “top”?
Thanks for another amazing video
Cameron's BBQ trailer is about to be slammed!
I hope so.
Had to take another Lipitor while watching this. 😂
Probably trying this this weekend..😮😮😮
Great video Matt!
It was all Cameron but thank you!
Matt’s beer can has the lipstick 💄 on it! 😂😂😂😂
Smoak Town!!! I live in Melissa TX and will make the hour drive atleast once a month for this place. Best bbq in Metroplex in my opinion and super good dudes that work there
So good!
I’ve never had pork belly, but this one, I’m tryin’! 🇨🇦👍🏼
Enjoy!
Cameron!! Let's go bro!!!!
👊🏽
Love Matt and the Meat Church brand, but he seems like the high school substitute teacher that’s trying to get invited to the Friday night after football party, “oh I see you dent your can too, can we be friends?” lol 😂
Bro i’m doing this and pairing them up with my smoked collard greens!!!
YESSSSSSS!
Damn! Those look fantastic Matt. Great video..
Thank you!!!
Love the video, damn I'm hunger now. Keep them coming.
Deal!
two legends!
Thanks!!!
Great video and idea!
Thank you. It was a ton of fun.
@@MeatChurchBBQ oh I bet so, that honey hog hot is amazing on pork belly
Great one Matt👍🏼👍🏼
Tasty one!
I knew he was on top of his game when he busted the Melinda's out. LAAWWDDDD!!!
That sauce was really good and not too hot.
That looks scarily good
Honestly, VERY good.
We live I Wylie see you and your BIG Phil's smoker.
First! I love Meat Church. I have all of the seasonings.
NICE WORK!
Bleu Broussard from 1701 bbq in Beaumont Texas
Honey Hot Hog is excellent on pork and chicken! Its especially wonderful on wings!!!!
Thank you!!!!!!
Oh man. That looks legit!!!
So good!
Mmmm! Mmmm! I used to live in Nashville, Brentwood and first of all Franklin. Great memories! Just like this pork belly! 🐖 🐷 😋 ❤
Love Franklin!
@MeatChurchBBQ It was quaint and definitely had that small-town feel to it when I was there in 82-84. Now it's full of hollywood types, and the real estate prices! 🤯 (in my home state, we call that the Park City effect. Bunch of out-of-state hoity toitys with tons of 💰 🤣)
Nashville had this restaurant called The 5th Quarter, all you could eat crab legs and prime rib! I believe it's a taqueria now. 😐
But I am gonna try that pork belly recipe! Thanks so much!
I woke up this morning and said to myself, "Self, how can you make pork belly more unhealthy and give me a bigger chance of a heart attack today." and Matt listened. And I soooo wanna make!
lolol
Calling Miller Lite “Fort Worth Craft Beer” is a lot like calling Dickies “Texas Craft BBQ” 😂
Glad you like my analogies!
This looks like heaven. I love spicy food and my wife is completely to opposite. Honey Hog Hot is too spicy for her. I may have to make 2 batches of this one for her and one for me. I love Nashville Hot chicken so this is 100% right up my alley. Never done pork belly burnt ends.
Enjoy!!!
You broke so many rules 😂 awesome guys this is on the to do list!
Please do!
That would be "Double baptized " chicken fried ends!!
That dude seems cool, gonna go check it out, thanks for the content.
Thanks for supporting him!
Yes please!
YES!
Those look amazing!!! Can’t wait to try the recipe!!🥵🥵
Give it a shot!
It's called a "beer signature". We've been doing it since college in 1988. Keeps you from grabbing someone else's beer, and them yours.
Preach
O. M. G. Decadence (in a good way) to the absolute max!
HA ha, so good!!!
'Fort Worth crap beer' You got that right, Matt.
Well done, Cameron. Thanks
fort Worth Craft beer. So good. Especially in the Texas summer when it's 105!
This looks amazing an will definitely be trying it very soon! But I have to admit, I'm REALLY curious about the Broccoli Salad recipe!!! Will you be sharing that one?
I don't have it but Cameron might share it with you. Hit him up on IG.
Thank you very much. Great. And yes, meat to desert! Is good. 😍
Welcome!
Looks great! Think I'd add a 1 inch cube of white bread underneath.
Go for it!
Gonna have to try this
Hope you enjoy!
Brad Pit Man. Yep. You live up to your name man. Reminds me of a Marine I met once; He was a Sargent Steele. I would have laughed, but he was Marine recon guy. Just too damn serious LOL.
haha
You need a Bayou Classic Fryer my boi!!!!!!
Have several.
Question to Matt or others. How do you properly clean/sanitize your large wood cutting boards?
Soap\water then I use walrus oil.
Well shoot! I know what I’m making this weekend now. Just when I thought pork belly could not get better.
Enjoy it!
