- Brisket Elotes with a Texas Twinkie at B4 Barbeque & Boba
I've been lucky enough to build amazing relationships with some of the top pitmasters in the world. In this Meat the Masters Guest Pitmaster series I have convinced them to share some of their best kept secrets with you guys.
In this episode of Meat the Masters, Nolan Belcher, the owner of B4 Barbeque & Boba in Mabank, TX, shows you step by step how to recreate one of his most popular special menu items - Brisket Elote served with a Texas Twinkie. Nolan makes both of these items with Meat Church products in his daily routine at the restaurant. The brisket elote comes with a whopping 6 ounces of chopped brisket in it and the corn is seasoned with Holy Voodoo. The Texas Twinkie is one of the best I've ever had and is loaded with our Texas Sugar plus some other surprise ingredients.
You guys be sure to visit Nolan and his wife Emily at B4 BBQ located inside the Mabank Feed Store! This is a family operation that can be found in a super cool and unique location on a great Texas BBQ road trip!

Yes Sir, no Sir, please & thank you. That's a true Texan at his best and he deserves to have a booming business. And great BBQ is an added bonus
Yessir!
We as well in Florida brother.
Give respect, get respect.
AMEN 🙏
That's how my father raised me and he was a Texan 💪
This might've been my favorite Meat the Masters yet. This guy is so down to earth and you can tell it's all genuine and for the love of bbq. Great job Meat Church! Now I gotta make some this weekend! 😂
I really appreciate that feedback Russ!
To all the goons making fun of this guy for saying “yes sir”, A- we all know your jealous of him, he’s making more money than you are, B- he is showing respect to Matt. So go troll elsewhere goofs. (Sorry Matt, just had to speak my mind) 😃
Thanks so much for the mention in this video. The response has been absolutely incredible. We are very excited to have our glaze in your store!
Our pleasure. Stoked to be stocking your stuff in our store starting this week!!
@@MeatChurchBBQ what kind of hot sauce in this recipe? Recommendations?
@@charliehustle3685I second this question. Looked fairly bright red but I don’t think it’s a Frank’s or anything like that
That’s cholula no question.
@@SnackPack913 Maybe homemade?
We’re so proud of this BADASS local family and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE the BBQ! Thanks for highlighting them, Matt! You rock, buddy.
So glad you came by!!!!!
Love the series, it's awesome to see the amount of respect Matt shows people that get it right, and the respect they give him back for all that he's done in the BBQ world. Let's get this channel to a million subs people!
Thank you so much. I pour my heart into it. Thankful to have such good friends.
100% agree. I have been loving and learning from Matt’s videos for a long time, but this series shows the character of the man and the passion for just really good BBQ along with the hard work it takes to pull it off as a business.
😮
@@MeatChurchBBQ 😊😊😊😊😊😊😅😊
sames!❤
This channel has literally changed my life. My wife just gets me whatever bbq gitfts I want now because she's so excited for me to heat up the smoker. My neighbor looked over the fence and asked me what I was doing because he was tired of just smellin' it. I'm teaching him how to bbq now because of you and he just bought his first Kamado grill. You're the man. Thanks for taking my BBQ game from a 4 to an 8. I'll never be a 10 but I'll spend my life chasing that 9.
So good! My wife just told me today "Buy whatever you need to keep making food" 😂
I’ve learned so much these past couple of years watching the meat church videos. Matt is a true professor and ambassador of bbq not only in central Texas but in America. Keep up the great work servicing your community! Makes me feel part of it every time I use your products!
I sincerely appreciate your feedback Marcos. Thanks for being here!!
What a humble guy man! Love this video ❤️.
Couldn't agree more!
So awesome......Matt you are gonna make his business explode. You're a good man.....
I hope so. They deserve it. Thanks for being here!
I've been eating there since it was just a food truck. He just keeps improving and getting better and better every time i come. It's already a half hour wait to get through the line to get your food after opening.
Reading between the lines a little: Matt, I think this man has studied your work, and probably that of many others in the world of bbq. And he’s using what he’s learned to inform his own unique approach, not at all a copycat of any one individual but at the same time it’s obvious he’s done his homework. Love to see it! And love to see you use your platform to highlight up and comers in your field.
I really appreciate the comments and kind words. Thanks for being here Nathan.
Sides are everything and I think there should be more focus on that in the BBQ scene. Love the up and comers. It's always fun to find a new joint.
I have to agree. It's a must have in Texas these days.
Never been more proud to own a lake house at Cedar Creek Lake. WE NEEDED amazing food out there. Nice work, Nolan!
Same!
I love this new series. Love that you give props to others Barbque grillers. You don’t boast that your way is the only way. Love what you do!
Thanks man.
This is friggin' amazing!! I love the spin on elote. These pitmasters are so creative. I felt Nolan's appreciation and pride of his 1000gal smoker. He almost choked up introducing her b/c of the amount of time he spends crafting his art. Another awesome video and creation.
Thanks Victor!
It's he, isn't it?
Wow I love this video. You can tell he looks up to ya Matt and you’re doing great things helping out showcasing great bbq!
Matt, I aint mad at ya! I went to B4 and had the Elote and Texas Twinkie. It was phenominal! I got there at 11:30, and by the time I got through the line to order, I was lucky enough to enjoy their last Elote! Sold out before noon! Nolan said that he'd gone through 25lbs of corn that day. It's that popular! It was so worth the drive from Dallas. Thanks for the great video and suggestion to visit Mabank and B4 Barbeque!
Great video, great series! Thanks Matt & Co. for doing this!
Our pleasure!
I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel. I've learned so much and I'm nailing some great smokes with the tips and techniques. Your the best Matt!
Thanks for being here Tyler!
My dad was born in 1938 and raised in Mabank. I remember visiting relatives and going to this small east Texas town(compared to Houston where I grew up) with a flashing yellow light in the center of town. Ahh childhood memories. Thanks Matt
That is a great memory!
Man that looked great! Love seeing different techniques
Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome! Love Texas! I appreciate that y'all have a lot of manners! Not many people this day in time have them! Food looked amazing! Man you are awesome! You know how to get it on point! Great video really enjoy watching them.
Thanks so much for being here!!
Twinkie, ABT, smoked stuffed Jales, this thing has so many names, and it never fails, great recipe!!!
Thanks to you and your host’s sharing their knowledge!! Watched this just before lunchtime, now I’m dying and my leftovers aren’t going to cut it.
Thanks Todd!

@@MeatChurchBBQ that would be fantastic you can also make a stop at South Padre Island its about 40 minutes or so from here stay blessed Matt!
I've learned so much since subscribing to this channel my own cooking has stepped up and the wife notices! You know the saying happy wife happy life! This place looks amazing we will be making a trip soon from Weatherford, TX thanks Matt for this channel!
Awesome. I used to live in Mineral Wells. Bought my truck at Jerry's.
Awesome to see you showcasing the Pit-masters in and around DFW. This past weekend I brought back a dozen Texas Twinkies back home to Kansas from Hutchins.
Keep doing the good work! ✌🏻
Hutchins are the OGs. Awesome!
This is one of the best meat church videos. Love this series! I want to make a version of this for guests.
Thank you! More in the works.
Outstanding. Love seeing bbq joints up and coming, bringing new ideas to the menu. Keep on keepin on!
Thank you!
Growing up in the '80s we also had a weekend place on Cedar Creek. Back then Mabank was barely a blip in the road and sure as heck wasn't any good food around. Nice to see things coming up.
Oh my goodness !!!!!I just happened across your channel one day and I am so thankful… I've been making Texas Twinkies for a while with my own rub and I so enjoy these behind the scenes with BBQ Greatness... ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for being here!
WOW!! That looked so good. Love the series.
I will definitely give this a try on Mardi Gras Day when my family and friends are partying and watching the parades.
Hope you enjoy.
That looks so good. You could make that like a casserole and put the jalapeños on top and serve a lot of people. Thank you for the ideas. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Cheers from rural Western Australia. I've cooked a couple of your side recipes and they've elevated me to BBQ King status. This one looks like it's going to take me to whole new level. 😎😂
Love this! I was invited to Meatstock but had to pass due to family vacation.
Great quality, wholesome. great food, great information
wow. going to try to do this. thanks Matt and Nolan.
Our pleasure!!
Keep ‘em coming!
Yessir!
It looks like I’ve got another place to try. Thanks for shining a little light on this one.
What an awesome guy! Thanks for sharing, these look LEGIT!
My pleasure.
So blessed to live down the street from this place . It’s soo good
Love that!
Daughters B-Day and she always asks for breakfast sausage with VOODOO! We are all hungry again. Another Solid one Matt!
Love that!
Yes Sir! Man, I am homesick for Texas right now!
You’re a steward of the craft. Lifting people up. Excellent work.
Thanks Scott.
Matt, you have the greatest job in the world... but I know now that I could never visit Texas! I would NEVER leave!
Matt that is just bad ass. Love how you profile all your BBQ buddies awesome thank you
Thanks Steve!
I made the Texas Twinkies recipe for the Super Bowl today and that filling is fantastic. I had more filling than jalapenos so I put it in a bowl and smoked it with the Twinkies. After about an hour and a half, I took the filling out and served it with garlic Triscuits and it's fantastic. I'm thinking a few jalapenos chopped in the filling and smoked for a couple hours would be great without having to stuff the peppers.
This series is the best!
Thank you!
One of the best videos yet!!! Keep it up brother.
Appreciate it!
Thank God I live in Dallas. I'll be there as soon as the ice melts! Thanks for finding this place.
YES!
Ok, it's official. I live in the Dallas area and this place is on my to-go-to list. Might do a little fishing at Cedar Creek Lake then head over for some bbq and that elote corn. Might even buy a new cowboy hat. Yehaw, yessir! Thx for the information and video.
mind blown ... don't stop making these vids !
LOL
Really cool that this place in Mabank. So many fine BBQ joints in out of the way places. One of the best things about Texas.
You got that right!
agreed - love the humble attitude and great food - will be heading that way to give it a try
Hope you enjoy!
Thank you, That was great. Cheers
Just got done making Nolans Texas Twinkies recipe, or as close as it could get them. I have to say AWESOME, everyone in the group loved them. We will make them again with the elite next time. Thanks
This video got better every minute! As a Latino it’s amazing to see Elote recipes invade Texas barbecue.
Thanks Juan!!
A meal it is! Looks really good! And impressive plating on the garnish-with the Texas Twinkie ❤
Unique!
That pepper jelly is one of the easiest things to make. I do all kinds and give it as gifts. I bet you could sell it and it's super affordable to make.
5:37 Susie! Awesome! I’ve cooked for a few hundred at our men’s camp and retirements. It is a lot of work! Nice job!
It's been a while since watching a video that my mouth started watering watching it.
I’ve done these Texas twinkies with rotisserie chicken from the super market and smoked wings I had left over. Phenomenal! If you can’t find whomp sauce Stubbs original works pretty good
I was ready to book a flight from NYC within the first minute and a half of this video. 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Man that looks awesome!!! I love the videos keep them coming!
Thanks! Will do!
These masters doing their thing is awesome 🍺🍻👍
Texas Sugar is instantly one of my new favorite rubs. I'll be trying this corn and cream cheese stuffed jalapeno next!
I appreciate that.
Everyone take a shot for each time Nolan says Yessir....
...and I'm hammered!
Man o man! That all looks just amazing!
Thank you Randy!
Love these videos! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Will do!
This is going on the bbq pilgrimage list because that looks insane!
Wow I can’t wait to try that. Yum 😋
This is one of the best bbq creations I have seen!
Appreciate that!
Definitely making this for the Super Bowl! Before you watch, a fun drinking game, take a drink every time “Yessir” is said 🤣
Have fun!
Matt, I made this yesterday. Did not have brisket, but did have a pork belly. Smoked it to probe tender and wrapped with sauce for the last hour. Corn charred just like yours. Easily the best bbq side I’ve ever made.
That is killer feedback. Thanks Rich!
Looks amazing!
It was!
Nolan has one expression, “yes sir!” What a great video. Nicely done. Skillet.
Young man was raised right. 🙌
Hell I’m from Canada and watching this almost makes me wanna buy a plane ticket to hit Mabank for that meal looks fantastic, I would like to thank you guys for sharing this type of recipe I may be a Canadian but I love Texas flavours.
I love the feedback. I'll be back in BC to fish in June. Come down on a BBQ vacation!
This was an awesome video, one of the best. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Damn that looks good. Love this series!
Thanks Andy!
This is a meal or two for me! Sounds delicious!
I gotta tell ya I'm from the northwest, I ran across a fried cabbage recipe it is off the hook good but before baking I add a quarter cup of the preferred BBQ sauce and this recipe is crazy good a go to
That looks so damn good! My mouth is watering 😋.
That has to be off the chart delicious. I love what these young Texas bbq masters are doing. I think they are beating the rest of the country on flavor.
Amazing recipe, definitely something to be shared
Thanks a lot Chris!
Definitely trying this for Super Bowl Sunday!
Have fun!
Appreciate the details guys!!!
Our pleasure!!
I love how Nolan proceeds to cram about 24oz of amazing BBQ in a 16oz deli.
Made this today for dinner for my family after a nice all nighter 16 hour smoke for the brisket. It was a damn hit! The texas twinkie’s might have been the best part.
That is awesome!
Yeah I definitely need to roll through this spot
That looks so delicious!!! I live in Kentucky, I really need to make a visit to Texas! The food looks unbelievable 😳
You should!
I LOVE this channel, good LORD that looked good. Next time I drive up to DFW ill make the stop from Houston. Great stuff Matt and way to go Chef Nolan.
Love it!!
Another Texas BBQ joint I need to visit. The list is long, but distinguished. Great video Matt, Thanks man.
